The massage was okay, not great. I got 90 minutes, but after the first hour, the last 30 minutes were mostly just my feet and head, nothing else. I went because my back hurt and it doesn't feel any better. When I turned face up, the curtain was open and I don't know how long it had been like that. Then the woman checking me out argued with me about the tip when I didn't want to leave 30%. I will not being going back there and I suggest you stay away. I'm giving this place 1 star for the massage. I'm taking off 4 because they are seriously bullying customers to pay more in tips as mentioned by other Google reviewers - and then play the language barrier game. We're talking 30% more on top of their inflated prices. (45 mins massage which is $50 and they had the audacity to ask for $15 as tips. And then she said $12 in the end when I hesitated). I placed down a $10 and then a $5 and asked for change, but of course she kept it despite me asking for change. I've added a variation of this on Google Reviews, since apparently that's where the manager/owner responds to comments. Owner, if you are here reading this, you need to train your staff that this is not cool. If you want to keep customers coming back and stop posting the same reviews about this aggressive way to ask for tips, you gotta take action. Stop the tip bullying! It turns us off! read more

It's a real shame because the massage itself is genuinely good, and the place is decent enough for what you'd expect at this price point (basic, semi-clean, nothing fancy). However, the payment process is consistently unpleasant and unprofessional. No matter what tip you offer, it never seems to be enough. Whether you start with 20% or even 25%, there's always some push to get more, either by haggling for a few extra dollars or pretending not to understand you in order to round up to a much higher tip. For example, they've tried to talk their way into keeping a full $20 as tip, turning it into something like a 34% gratuity. It leaves a bad taste and makes the whole experience uncomfortable at the end. Unfortunately, this will be my last visit. I'd rather walk two blocks down to Bedford and enjoy the same service without the stress at the end, which undoes any relaxation from the massage. read more

This should be a 0 star review. Do not go here. Massage was a little bit above average, I've definitely had better. However, this review is about the the dishonest practices of the masseuse I had. The front door says they take credit card, however the table at the front says the credit card machine is not working, and you can only pay in cash. When I said I didn't have enough cash, the masses said I should go to an ATM, and I said no since my Bank ATM was far away. He then begrudgingly brought out the credit card machine that was hiding in the drawer, and guess what, it was working just fine. Then when I asked for change for the $20 bill I had to give him a cash tip, I asked for 4 $5 bills back, and he only gave me 1 5$ bill back, saying the remaining $15 was his tip and that tip was 20%. Last I checked, 20% of $55 was $11. I told him this, and asked for singles back for a $5 bills, and he stormed off to the back room and brought back the right change. I understand businesses are hurting post-COVID, but if you want to be an only cash establishment, then make that known from the start, and most importantly, don't have a sign on the front of your door saying you take major credit cards. read more

Today I had the pleasure nay! The privilege of meeting Linda. Her fingers of steel worked into my Deep Tissue in the most relaxing way I've ever felt. This place is a no-frills massage place. The "rooms" are separated by walls that don't go up the ceiling and have curtains as doors, you can hear them talking and pounding BUT! the massage was incredibly amazingly satisfying! Jerry was nice and professional. I had a combination of deep tissue and hot stone massage. The Massage I received relieved weeks of work-induced tension. (It was a rock-hard knot and Jerry just twisted out of my body!) The walk back home felt like a huge load had been taken off of me. I've been here twice and had Linda once and a man (not sure his name) last time, both times I walked out with no pain in my back, the way a deep tissue should be! The prices are extremely reasonable ($45 for 1 hour?!), especially in Williamsburg. This is not a posh day spa, so the negative reviews should go elsewhere! Shout out to Linda! She's awesome. She took some time to feel out where my tension was. At first I wasn't sure if she was going to get serious and dig in.. but then she went straight for my major trouble spot in my left hip! From there on, I knew she knew what she she as doing. This is not for the sensitive, first timers, or for those who are in it for the ambiance (must be able to shut out the world!) If you want a straight forward, awesome deep tissue massage, and you're not shy about your butt or tatas being out, some noise in the background, then this is the place for you! Very sweet lady however I would not return for another massage. Linda went back and forth between myself and another random customer. She applied cupping to my back which I did not ask for and left them on the for 45minutes (in total) out of 60 minutes. She was extremely rough and did not massage one area on my body for longer than 5 seconds. The hour costed me $71 in total. The 5 stars are for Linda, who is seriously committed to working out all of the tension in your muscles! This massage is not for the faint of heart, on my last visit I ended up with light bruising in some places. This time I woke up when it felt too firm for me, and she picked up on my cues and gave me exactly the pressure needed. One bummer - they don't honor the coupons posted on the top of the Yelp page, the masseurs don't speak English and they tried to call the owner but couldn't reach him/her. I had waited to go on a day when they offer the 15 minute foot rub to add to my 90 minute, so I was really disappointed this didn't work out. I've been here a few times and always left loosened up after having gotten massages that beat the hell out of my terrible rock-like muscle that had hardened from spasms, awful office chairs, being crushed into airplane seats designed for 50 LB kids under 3 feet tall, and miscoordinated bedroom acrobatics. Other Tui Na massages I've received elsewhere were as ineffective as nail salon foot "massages." These folks will give you the closest and cheapest alternative to expensive Active Release Technique/trigger point bodywork from a skilled chiropractor. The handsome young man working here has better English language abilities than the older sadist woman who seemed genuine in her desire to effectively communicate nonetheless. Go here and get your ass kicked like never before. You may be in temporary discomfort during the massage, but that can be expected with this type of deep spasm release work. My boyfriend and I went for a couple's massage. The two working masseuses that were there, were fighting with each other in foreign language, even during our session. There was a roach in the bathroom, some stains in the bed, the guy giving massage was using one hand on each of us just rubbing half of our bodies, then the lady worked on me and guy worked on my boyfriend. This lady used hot rocks and sometimes she slipped on my back and hit me in the head with the rock. She used my body to lean on to change her positions. I had a massage by Michael today, my first time having a deep tissue massage. I had a really sharp pain in my upper back from work and knew I needed something extra to help. I could tell Michael knew where all the knots in my back were and he really went to work getting them all out. I used to go to him specifically and was a regular client, then he pulled this grossly inappropriate move. Stay away! The worst was I lived on that block and he would hang out outside and I would have to pass him almost every day. I just called and they said Tom isn't there anymore. Still, stay away. I have a lot of back and shoulder problems and have been inappropriately touched by two male massage therapists (once here and once at a place in the LES.)
