I was very appreciative to them for helping me with the brakes on my car. I called them they were able to schedule me a time and were extremely, extremely helpful! Whenever I deal with anything automotive, I am usually discriminated against and talked down to because I'm a woman. I did not get that at all. So I wanted to share an EXCELLENT, just completely KIND, and somewhat unbelievable experience I recently had involving this company. Although this experience doesn't involve actual work on my car but the kindness of the people u will be intrusting your car to... This is what happened.... A few days ago I went with my granddaughter, grocery shopping. It was HOT, over a hundred degrees that day. I was driving the infiniti and we were on our way home after getting a large grocery list of things. I was just turning on to Moffat Boulevard after leaving Food 4 Less, when the car decided to die. OH NO, I was horrified! Luckily The car coasted a bit to the side of the road. THIS WAS BAD, very BAD because guess who didn't bring her phone? ME! I look up and I see Phillips Auto Care about 50 feet away and it looks like there's somebody there . Freaking out that my groceries were going to go bad in this hundred plus degree weather, I grabbed Jazz and we walked over to the office of this company. I asked if I could use their phone and they immediately handed me the phone. I was very flustered and couldn't even remember my husbands phone number. I started telling them about what I thought most likely was wrong that our gas meter was wrong and that we ran out of gas . The man immediately came to my rescue, he got a gas can, and offered to drive me to the gas station so I could get gas. They had a car that was their company car and I felt comfortable that we were safe so I went. He filled the gas for me and we got back and he put it in the gas tank for me. He told me a little helpful hint before I tried turning the car on and SURE ENOUGH it STARTED!! I was right and he was a miracle maker because this all happened in a very quick amount of time, so QUICK that my granddaughters popsicles we're not melted!!! This man was so kind and I was so grateful! I will use this company and recommend them to anyone just by the people I believe them to be, KIND, HELPFUL HUMAN Beings!!! We just moved to the area and I yelped a place to take my car in for maintenance. I was intrigued by the great reviews. I called for an appointment and was accommodated within the week. When I pulled up I was happy with how clean and organized the shop was. Also me and my daughter were able to wait in the clean waiting area while my car was worked on and was done within the time they told me. They didn't try and tell me my car needed more work like most shops try to do. They were honest and very friendly. I will definitely be returning when I need any car work done. read more

I've taken my car here for years and yes found out that they were under new ownership but decided to still give them a try and they were great! Especially Maria, at the front desk, she is super friendly and professional! I took my 2015 Chevy suburban in for a diagnostic for my ac going out and they only charged me $59.00. When I found out it needed a whole new AC compressor because of a leak, she first told me she had done some research and found out that it possibly it could still be covered by General motors under the recall. She went the extra mile to give me the information to find out....she didn't have to do any of that because I would have never known. I went through the process of calling GMC and unfortunately I was out of mileage range for it to be covered and knowing how much the dealerships charge, I wouldn't dream of taking it to a chevy dealer to have it fixed so I went right back to Phillips due to their HONESTY to have the AC compressor put in and it was a very reasonable price and was done in one day!! They are great so don't listen to this last bad review as Some people want things done for free! Phillips is great and you can trust them with your vehicle! read more

They call you by your name, are super personal and knowledgeable One incidence that happen to me when I was out of town. The repair shop recommended parts but had to order. I could not stay overnight so I had the car towed home to Phillips. In a few minutes, they diagnosis the problem to be completely different and had it fixed within a very short time. Phillips has changed ownership/service rep/mechanic since my original review. The new folks were to check-out a check engine light. Charged me for diagnostic, told me I needed a new gas cap. Did that but immediately the vehicle started to stall every time I filled the fuel tank. Didn't do that before they pumped "smoke" into the fuel system. Charged me for another diagnostic to find the problem they seem to have created. - told me I needed a new fuel tank and fuel pump, dealer estimates about $1,000! Don't think I will be back to the new owners/service rep/mechanic. read more

And was thinking it was going to be a compressor change , which is a pricey job, asked Maria if they could get me in and trouble shoot problem, not only did they get me in ASAP , they found small leaks, fixed them, cost was much less , great service read more

We just purchased a used 2012 Nissan Cube, sight unseen from San Diego area. We planned to drive it to Carmel this weekend, when we noticed the horn did not work. We actually first drove it to another repair shop who was unsympathetic & told us they could not look at it until Tuesday. We were there on opening, Friday morning. This is when we Yelped for another Auto repair shop and found Phillips. Mitchell greeted us warmly and acted like he would really like our business. What a refreshing change. He told us he would have the problem diagnosed by later this am & call us. He actually did. Turns out it was a missing wire. He adjusted the horn sound, per our request,to make it more robust. We later called him to ask him to check the fluid, and he said he already did as well as the tires. He also inspected a few other parts & assured us the car looked good. We are sooo grateful for this excellent service, and will most definitely use Phillips again. Now...on to Carmel. :) read more
