I was on hold with AAA and did a web search to see if any tire shops were open. Manteca Tire was open I called the shop, the shop had the tire size I needed drove there. I received excellent customer service, it was convenient, and so rewarding to not have a shop over charge you because of the urgency of our situation.

At first I had the front wheels done first to see if that would take care of it. I paid and hopped on to the freeway to test them but seemed to be still the same so I went back and had the rear wheels done as well. That seemed to have improved a little bit but wasn't completely fixed but tolerable. I figured it could be something else causing the issue so I saved it to have it diagnosed further later. I paid $60 for the work done total ($30 on each pair) After driving for a few weeks the shaking on the steering wheel seemed to have become worse. So I took it to Firestone this time to get the balancing redone as well as alignment. And guess what? Yup, the issue is now gone when driving on the freeway. I've been to this shop quite a few times before and just feel that their work is just average. I came only because it's close to my home. But this will definitely be my last time as I paid for something was supposed to fix the problem but obviously didn't, not to mention money wasted. I somehow wonder if they did the work correctly, or even did the work at all even though I did see them took out the wheel from my car. SMH -_-

I've been coming here for years for tire rotations -- and yes, the service is free, which is the…read moreonly reason this isn't one star. But make no mistake: this place tried to scam me, plain and simple. I'll even own this -- they already got me once before on front brakes I probably didn't need. That one's on me for not knowing better and not pushing back. I do now. On my most recent visit, I was told my rear rotors needed to be replaced immediately. When I asked why, the tech couldn't give me a real answer. "A lip" was all I got. No demonstration, no showing me the problem, no actual explanation -- just pressure to approve an expensive repair on the spot. I told them I just wanted the pads done. They refused, hiding behind a warranty excuse. I told them point blank I didn't care about the warranty, I wasn't asking for it. They still refused. So not only are they pushing repairs you don't need, they won't even do the work YOU are asking for unless you agree to pay for everything they want to sell you. That's not a service shop, that's a shakedown. I went home, pulled the tire off myself, and found pads with plenty of life left, zero hot spots, and rotors in perfectly fine condition. There was NOTHING wrong with them. They flat out lied to my face hoping I wouldn't know any better. And based on my history here, they had good reason to think it would work. This is predatory and it's disgraceful. Management should be ashamed that this kind of dishonest upselling is happening under their roof -- and frankly, anyone caught fabricating repair needs to con customers out of money should be fired. That's not a bad day at work, that's a character problem. I will be filing a formal complaint directly with Les Schwab corporate, because this location is a stain on what is supposed to be a trustworthy brand. Come here for the free rotation if you must -- but bring someone who knows cars, because they are absolutely counting on you not to.
