So i ordered new tires through Good Year and had them sent here for installation. They were very polite and convenient and everything was done in 30 minutes. A few days go by and my TPMS light goes on and i am very confused because everything i found on google said that everything should've been taken care of when they installed my tires. I take it by Les Schwab to get looked at since i happened to be there with my friend. They give me back my broken sensor(in picture) which they had to replace and tell me that Manteca Tire had tried to zip-tie it together even though it was broken in half. I go to Manteca Tire just to only ask for a reimbursement for what i paid to have my sensor replaced. The manager takes no accountability and doesn't even apologize. He admits they zip-tied it to "keep it working" which obviously didn't work because my light came and he tried to claim it was broken when i came in to get my tires installed. Why would you not tell me that when you gave me my keys back that it was broken or ask me if i would like it replaced instead of doing a half-ass job and zip-tying it. He sent me a check for what i paid at Les Schwab to "keep me happy" but like he really tried to blame it on someone else and then made it seem like i was so rude for wanting reimbursement. like sir, you broke it... what the heck? If it was broken before i came in, why did my light only come on after you guys installed my new tires? they definitely broke it and if they didn't they're wildly incompetent for not communicating anything with me. read more

I came out to a flat tire this morning, so I started looking into tire places around my area. I usually go somewhere else, but they were closed today, so I came across Manteca Tire. These guys just earned my future business. Not only was the front person polite and professional, but the service was incredibly fast! Usually, I plan on a tire change taking around an hour or so, because that's usually the time I spend at a place like this... sometimes longer, if it's busy. With these guys, I was in and out in ten minutes, and what's more... they're honest people! Turns out, my tire just had a faulty valve that was leaking air, and it was easily fixed without replacing the tire. Not only did they save me the cost of the tire... they didn't even charge me for fixing the valve! Any other place would have just replaced the tire and charged me full price, or at least charged me for tire repair. These guys didn't even blink an eye, told me "No charge, thanks for thinking of us!", and let me go without charging a penny. Well done, Manteca Tire! Thank you to Manteca tire for helping me get our truck aligned. Came here for an alignment on our full size lifted truck, which can be hard to find someone to do. Les Schwab didn't want to touch our truck and tried to get us to replace a bunch of stuff that didn't need to be. We came to Manteca tire for the work to be done and they did great. The truck feels good and the people working were polite and friendly and explained to me a few things they did on the truck. I appreciate the honestly and kindness. Manteca Tire mounted a set of tires on my vehicle that other tire shops would not mount due to the tires not being purchased at those other shops. The tires were mounted with no problem and I was charged less compared to several other quotes I received. After a good experience with them, I bought a set of Continental PureContact tires at a price that no other competitor could match. I recently took an older van to have the brakes checked. They checked the brakes and told me that they were all good. They did not charge me for checking the brakes. I use to buy tires from Costco, not anymore. I discovered Manteca Tire. Manteca tire can usually beat Costco or very close to their price, but you get much better individual customer service here. The other big plus is not waiting hours for a tire rotation or service. I can simply make an appointment which is important to me. The friendly, knowledgeable customer service I receive ,plus the trained technician working on my car is important to me rather than going to Manteca Costco and wait, wait, wait and hope they don't forget to balance my tire on a tire rotation and I drive off and shake shake shake goes my car. A noise started in my Jeep when I went to Mexico and replaced a lot of parts at the same time. No one could figure out it was for years, the noise would not go away. I asked around and ended up at Manteca Tire. Chuck found it, ordered the part and fixed it same day. What a relief. It wouldn't make the noise if there was a mechanic in the car and I'd switched out so many parts (steering box, tie rods and ends and sleeve, track bar, all 4 ball joints, damper, shocks, control arms, engine mounts, more), there was a lot that it could be. I thought it was the ball joints and was looking for someone to measure the yolk for oversized joints. But it was the transmission mount, installed wrong. Chuck has been a great help and he always gives a fair price. A couple times he's driven it around and sent me to a specialist, and wouldn't let me pay him for diagnoses. He sent my mom to a transmission shop who did a great rebuild. After the rebuild, Chuck changed bent CV shaft, did alignment and spent a lot of time on the phone with dealer finding the right return hose (VOLKSWAGON). If you have a problem and you don't know what it is, Chuck is the man. Totally honest and competent and always fair prices. read more

We use to go here but got screwed a lot so we stopped using them. My brother went there to have his radiator place, and they said it would take 2 1/2 hours which is the normal for that at all the shop because we have check. Well it took them 2 1/2 days to replace the radiator so, if you're not in a hurry use them but if you are don't use them they said on the work and then we clean they got the wrong part when you have the vehicle there you tell me what size it is what you need and they say yeah we have it! read more

I bought a pair of tires and a week later I had noticed a slow leak. I couldn't find a nail or anything so I called and Chris had said to bring it in. Had an alignment done here a month ago. I did my own tire rotation as I always do on my vehicles. After doing so my stirring wheel was off center. I brought it in to have it checked out. I took my vehicle here in July 2017. My service included tires, shocks and alignment. The prices were fair and competitive with large chains. The work was completed in a timely manner. They forgot to complete the oil change and offered it to me later at no cost. My only two gripes are that the temperature inside the shop is uncomfortably hot and the night time key drop is not practical or secure. I have never written a review for any business so, that says a lot about how impressed I am with Manteca Tire. I was told by Les Schwab that I needed new brakes, and calipers for a total of $717.00. I went to Manteca Tire for a second opinion and quote. I was told by Chris that I didn't need break pads or calipers and that I shouldn't need brake pads for another 5 to 10 thousand miles. He also said that calipers generally last until about 200,000. miles and my car only has 90,000. miles so, I wont need them for a very long time. These people are honest and fast so, I will be going here for all my automotive needs in the future. read more

Ok so I'm going to spread the word about a repair shop in Manteca.As a mechanic for over 25 years I really hate when a shop tries to take advantage of customers .Now I know not every mechanic is perfect including myself.We all make mistakes and shit sometimes we may over look things.With that said if your going to try to take advantage of a customer especially one who's dad is a mechanic you better believe I'm going to put you on blast..I just replaced my son's front end .Ball joints,tierod ends,front axle shafts etc..So I send him to Manteca Tire 201 Edison Street in Manteca to get front end alignment and they tell him they can not do it because he needs a motor mount and belt tensioner..So I call down to the shop and explained to them the motor mount and tensioner has nothing to do with the steering and that I'm a certified mechanic .Then they try to say the entire front needs replacing.when I told them I literally just replaced it all they hung up..Please spread the word that this shop is trying to rip people off..it makes hounestly mechanics look bad.. read more
