I purchased Yokohama tires from Manteca Tires and there was terrible road noise from day one with the tires and also there was uneven wear. I had the tires rotated, aligned and the proper air pressure. When I went back to Manteca Tires they said to rotate them and let them run longer. The second time I took them in, they said the same thing except they stated that if it continued I should contact Yokohama directly. They were the place that I purchased from and yet were telling me to contact the manufacturer, rather than them. I contacted Yokohama and they would not back their warranty. There are all types of issues with road noise and uneven wear and tear listed on the internet with Yokohama tires. In fact, the company only has a C+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and several complaints filed against them on the consumer affairs site. Some of the Yokohama tires have been recalled in the past according to the National Traffic Safety Site. I contacted Manteca Tires back to let them know that Yokohama would do nothing and asked them to contact Yokohama. After contacting them- they were going to offer me a discount on new tires when they should be offering completely new tires at no charge or at least a complete refund. I ended up replacing the tires at my own cost, but with another dealer in Manteca that offered me great tires and a great price. Needless to say, they were not Yokohama tires. The other dealer in Manteca gave me a better price than what Manteca Tires would have gave me even considering a discount. I should not have had to replace my tires that soon and Manteca Tires and Yokohama should have offered a refund. I am not going to buy from Manteca Tires another set of tires if they did not back the first set of tires I purchased from them.I am never going to buy Yokohama brand tires again either. Yokohama does not stand behind their warranty. It is just a shame that consumers get ripped off like this. My reason for writing this review is so other consumers will be well informed prior to making their purchase and to purchase a product from a dealer that takes care of their customers and isn't afraid to back a warranty on a product they manufacture or sell. If you have issues with Yokohama tires you have already purchased- I recommend filing a complaint with the Automotive Bureau, THE BBC in Southern California where Yokohama is located, the Consumer Affairs site and the National Traffic Safety site. read more
