We were vacationing along this road and while we were biking down the coast we noticed this bar. It had such a cute deck facing the ocean we HAD to check it out. And surely enough it had a GORGEOUS view of the ocean! We can for happy hour around 4 and were dining till past the sunset. It was amazing because it wasn't very crowded and happy hour food was great! We ordered: -chicken quesadillas -teriyaki chicken bowls (HH) -bahn mi sliders -kalua pork tacos (HH) -choco lava bites Everything was yummy!!! I would say the teriyaki chicken wasn't the most amazing I've ever had but it was still good and a great value for the price. Satisfied my teriyaki craving. The quesadillas were really yummy and the coco lava bites are a MUST! Service was great too. This rating is based on two visits. - can't beat the view (hence the name), but you are elevated above PCH, so it can be noisy. We sat on the patio. - service can be very slow when crowded, but still friendly -$5 Mai Tai during happy hour. Good flavor, good amount of alcohol - Sharkbait gin drink - fantastically tropical - Spicy Tuna bites: these were absolutely shockingly flavorful. Light won tons, fresh tuna. I will get these on every visit. - Banh Mi Sliders: the mix of coconut, spice, cucumbers and chicken was awesome - Chicken tacos: chipotle cream kept the chicken moist. The food here was amazing and food was as well. They had a nice array of options and anything can be added to anything you order. I went on a Friday night around 7 for the sunset. It was packed and service was horrible. There's no hostess so you just sit down and they will get to you when they see you. I saw only two waitresses. The waitress I had was forgetting everything even to refill my drink. You could tell she just had a lot on her plate. I definitely enjoyed the food though. I ordered the angus beef sliders, very good! Oceanfront views and got to see the sunset while having a nice dinner. Calamari for appetizer, was tasty. I was really craving seafood with an ocean view. I ordered the shrimp aguachiles that did not disappoint. There was a great amount of cucumbers, avocado and shrimp. I would go back to order that! The zucchini fries were good and flavorful, but I wish there was less breading and more zucchini. We enjoyed the ambiance of being outside. So I always come here for happy hour and today I decided to come on a Sunday for dinner. My hubby and I had the salad with salmon and the quesadillas with pork and I couldn't believe the salmon dish was such a deal ... better than most high end restaurants in the area fresh salmon and perfection at its finest for under $20 a deal. We had constant refills without asking on our iced teas and our waitress was top notch .... Now this is going to be my go to restaurant on a weekly basis. read more

I went here the first time today with a friend of mine. We stopped in and had lunch. I have to say it was a very pleasant experience. The service was great and timely! Sitting outside and looking at the ocean, obviously is hard to beat! I love the little add-on touch that they did with the plating and garnishing with flowers. After a long day of travel, we walked into this fun place on PCH. We watched the sunset on the Pacific Ocean, while enjoying very reasonably priced drinks and delicious food. We were lucky to find this perfect place to decompress. I enjoyed the Banh Mi Sliders, but have to go back to try other things on the unique menu. Sunsets has been one of my favorite places for a handful of years although i don't get to make it too often, when i do I'm always happy with the food and drinks,! My two favorite food items are the Kalua pork taquitos and the spicy tuna bites; my favorite beverages are the Mainland Rita and the Ring of fire! I usually sit outside on the patio when available (it fills up!) - if you do want outside bear in mind some of the tables (if your a group of 2) are veeeeeery tiny (if it's packed and those are the tables that are left) but the view is worth it! I've had lots of very nice servers however it's not always the greatest service (delays/extended time waiting) but it's a bar so it gets pretty busy! Honestly 1 bite into the delicious food it won't even matter! read more

What a fun find! We lucked out finding a parking space in the small lot in back, as well as getting a table window with a view of the ocean. Fun atmosphere and locals energy. When I saw Loco Moco on the menu, I knew that that was what my husband would order, and he did. Attractive in presentation, generous portions, and he stated the tastiest Loco Moco he's had (highly complimenting the deep, flavorful gravy). My Oriental Salad was fresh, crisp, and refreshing -- just what I was looking for on a hot day. The staff appeared to display good energy and teamwork; our server was OK overall (not terribly personable or attentive and slow to follow through). Nonetheless, good drinks! Luckily, there were at least 20 other Steelers fans in attendance for week one's bout against the Jets, so it felt lively when the Steelers scored. The service was near perfect and I enjoyed myself here while hootin' and hollerin' for the Steelers.
