PHILADELPHIA: Sunset Social is a seasonal dog friendly rooftop bar with extraordinary views of the Schuylkill River and the Philly skyline. They are "Always Dog + Kid Friendly" and dogs must be leashed. There is a mix of green space, cement patio, a tented area with tables, and a mini dog park! Walk around and see a 360 degree view of the city! You can eat and drink too with a light menu of burgers (including a veggie option), a chicken sandwich, hot dogs, chicken tenders (including a mushroom option), fries, ice cream, and ices. You can also bring your own food. Enjoy a pre-made cocktail, frozen drinks (the passionfruit daiquiri was excellent), and a nice beer selection on draft and in cans. Their next Dog Days of Summer event is on Tuesday, 8/1/23 from 4-7pm with drink specials, adoptable puppies, doggie vendors, and a percentage of profits go to animal rescue partners such as Street Tails Animal Rescue! Every night, there is something fun to experience: Mondays - Trivia! Tuesdays - Live music! Wednesdays - Movie night! They have a huge outdoor screen! Thursdays - Golden hour with $3 Michelob Ultra beer Fridays - Block party with $5 Fat Tire draft beer Saturdays - Movie night and food deals! Sundays - Lawn games and enjoy discounted ice cream, play bingo, and face painting for the kids! All this fun and it is free to enter! The complex is part of Cira Green and right next to Penn Park that has a cool pedestrian bridge to check-out.

This rating is separate from Cira green, the park in which sunset social is located in. This food itself is a solid 3 stars. To me 3 stars means it is average which is not great but not bad either, again just average. The reason the food is average is because it lacks menu options for beverages and food. The food isn't something to write home about either but satisfying when you have no other food establishment options around. The events that they produce and execute are certainly 5 stars! There is a theme or event daily, from live DJs, movies on the jumbo screen, trivia, happy hour (for dogs), and games! The events keep me coming back and I look forward to it every Spring/Summer/Fall season!

Sunset social is a place you go for the views and atmosphere! It's a large outdoor space on top of a parking garage with lots of areas to lounge in the grass. There is a big protector screen where movie nights are hosted. The drinks were okay as others in my group complained the beers weren't served cold enough and the fries were undercooked and soggy. I'd recommend going to see the cool city views but skipping the food/drinks.

Not sure why the 3 stars but I thought it was a great place to have a lovely evening. Open to all with beautiful city views and decent food. We went on a Friday afternoon with the pup (they have to be on leash, unless in the designated dog area) found a spot to chill and relax ordered a couple of drinks and the cheesesteak burger and the fried chicken sandwich. The Cheesesteak burger was hands down the best burger I have tasted, chicken sandwich was okay and could have used some more seasoning or cheese or Mayo. Tater tots... well they were tater tots. All in all a great visit. I wish they sold dog treats

While at Cira Green's park, Sunset Social is right there when you walk up. They offer food and dranks! How cool? Very! The menu is decent with variety of non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages as well as a nice list of food choices. You order your food on one side of the establishment and they'll text you when your order is ready for pick up on the other side. Tried a bacon cheeseburger with tots. I was impressed with both. Also, ordered the Rise & Shine cocktail that gave me a little buzz. I only drank like half. :) I sat on my picnic blanket and enjoyed my meal & cocktail! Also, the employees who work there were friendly.

Great green space on rooftop! With hills and all! And live music! 5 stars But not sure if I would order food from here again. Ordered coconut shrimp and waited over 1/2 hour so went up and it was sitting in the back the whole time w/o texting us after taking our number. Not only were we a little upset but the food was cold! Not happy 1 star Avg: 3 stars Maybe just get some drinks and enjoy the green. U can bring ur own picnic.

The space itself it very open and the views are great. Good for big groups. There is a shaded area under a large white tent however it can get really loud there

If your a sucker for a good view this place is for you. It's like a mini park where u can lay out and read a book, picnic or grab a drink from their stand. Their drinks are pretty good they offer beer, wine and cocktails. The only is that you have to order a food item at first if you keep your tan open. If you close your tab get another drink you have to get a another food item. Which they didn't tell me until after the fact but overall solid place.

My co-worker and I came here for lunch and had a great experience! We've been coming to Cira Green since it first opened, and we have been anxiously awaiting the opening of the rooftop restaurant. We were going to sit outside, but it was pretty windy, so we decided to sit in the indoor seating area. The decor is very minimal, but it's really not needed when the walls are glass so you can see outside to the surrounding greenery. The windows open outward and the walls collapse to let in fresh air to the enclosed space, which is a nice touch. The outdoor space has string lights, which I'm sure look amazing in the evening! I ordered a Veggie Burger (lettuce, pickles, tomato, sunset sauce) and split an order of Cheese Tots with my co-worker. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced! I can't wait to return here in the evening for a beer with a great view. I definitely see Sunset Social becoming my summer hangout spot!

A can of this was very tasty to me.

On Labor Day 2022 I was stuck on finding an event to attend. I contributed it to Covid. I search the internet all weekend long and had no luck until around 3:30pm. After my virtual meeting I decided to leave and head out to this Free Park that I had found on the internet at around 3:45pm. If anyone reads my talk you would know how I felt when I found this Free Park. This place was said to have "Trivia Under The Tent" every Monday starting at 6pm. I had plenty of time to get there according to Apple Maps. I packed up my bags and was on my way. I love Cardiovascular Exercise so I decided to power-walk part-way there. Once I arrived I needed to recalibrate. I dipped into what I thought was the entrance to the building where the sign hung that read "Sunset Social Cira Green." To my dismay this entrance was a dead-end. I decided to creep into another part of this building behind a delivery man who, by the way, gave me strange looks the entire time we road the elevator. He got off, but I stayed on to the next floor. When the doors opened I peered out and an Asian looking man was getting on the elevator. I decided to ask him if he knew where "Sunset Social" was located. He proceeded to tell me to get off on the eighth floor, make a right and I would be there. Needless to say he was incorrect. I made my way back down to the lobby of the building, made a left on the corner where the building stands and noticed another sign that read "Sunset Social Cira Green eleventh fl." Of course I was following a loving looking couple who just happened to come from the dead-end entrance I was at when I first arrived. For some odd reason I had missed the parking lot exit. Anyway, the couple, another woman and I load the elevator. The nice man presses the button to the eleventh floor and we all exit the elevator. There was a sign that had some rules for entering the Free Park, which by the way is also considered to be "The Park In The Sky," and a staircase that I presume lead to this Park In The Sky. I started my video recording and was then stopped by a man and a woman who said they needed to check my bags. After the quick bag check I entered the "Free Park In The Sky." It was very cozy, with a lot of open areas filled with green grass and seating. I was hoping to attend their event, but because of the weather it was canceled. The restaurant was also closing, but I was able to get a drink. All in all I would recommend "Sunset Social Cira Green" as a place to go when you want to sit outside in a cozy atmosphere around other people and their pets because pets are allowed. I am not one for eating around other people's pets, but that's me. I like how "Sunset Social Cira Green" is spacious and if you bring a blanket you could get quite comfortable, perhaps even nap a bit. Outside food is prohibited yet the restaurant has a great selection. Search‍‍Sunset Social on the internet and have your next Summer outing there. It could be spectacular.

Came to Sunset Social while at the park for some beer and finger food. Sunset Social is fast and convenient. They had plenty of drinks to choose from like beers and different foods such as fries and tots. There's also plenty of seats to sit around and enjoy the nice city view. Right in the park they have a huge TV which they show movies. Great place to enjoy an afternoon.

I loved this place! I used to go to cira green before this place opened up and it makes it so much better! There aren't many food/beer options but they're good enough and the idea is sitting at the park and enjoying the view of the city (and the numerous dogs!) They have some games set up on the side like corn hole and a large connect 4. There's plenty of space to sit so you don't have to feel obligated to sit under the tent. It's a great thing to do during COVID- get a beer, eat some food and enjoy the outdoors (with social distance). I also thought the name they had printed out was comical

I visited for lunch during Restaurant Week, which I enjoyed because of its close proximity to the corporate hub in Center City where I work and for its solid menu. I was seated quickly at a high-top for my noon reservation. The restaurant is much larger inside than it looks, split in half with the left providing an upscale bar aesthetic while the right presents a quieter, modern lounge feel. (It seemed like service staff was directing those with previously-booked OpenTable RSVPs to the lounge side.) Service was great, as my waitress continuously checked in during my meal even as more customers arrived throughout the lunch period. I appreciated being offered to add fries on my burger order, as Village Whiskey didn't have it automatically added on the RW menu. The only drawback was she forgot to ask how I wanted my burger cooked, but it came out medium rare which is the way I eat it regardless. I trust that's how they default, which is a good sign. The Food Breakdown: Deviled Eggs (4/5) - Classic, solid, and a good starter. I honestly selected it since the other appetizer options didn't really appeal to me, but nothing spectacular or negative about it. Four comes with each order. All-American Burger (5/5) - Fantastic. I'm not a pickle enjoyer, but the acidity just blended into each juicy bite. The jam had a slight kick, and you can taste the fattiness within the double Wagyu smash patties. High-quality all around and a solid portion size. Duck Fat Fries (4/5) - They were well-seasoned, and each order comes with a small side of ketchup. Granted I didn't ask, but I almost wish they offered a spicy mayo instead because it would complement the crunchiness better. Overall, the food quality and taste were superb. My only caveat was the price, knowing that $35 after tax and gratuity for lunch (without an additional drink) is costly. I wouldn't be able to come everyday, but it certainly has my vote for sharing with others the destination that has an immaculate burger.
