Absolutely love Sunset Commons! Such a gem in the Inner Sunset. The space has a warm, welcoming, laid back feel, and the owner is incredibly kind. They have so many fun crafts to choose from, and it's a great place for kids to settle in, get creative, and just enjoy themselves. It's genuinely relaxing for adults too and such a nice way to spend an afternoon together. They also offer really fun workshops and have created such a wonderful, creative community space. A wonderful third space for crafting and other activities. I arrived when they were opening on a week day. My friend and I brought some activities to do from home even though there were many fun crafts to purchase (clay, 3d puzzles). Bianca was so friendly and welcoming to my party and all others at the cafe; she bused our yummy drinks (cup of tea and iced good juju) after we finished but were still busy crafting. Periodically, she visited each table to check on progress and see if we needed anything. The environment was so friendly that at one point, our conversation included our neighboring table! Such a rarity to have moments of connection. I'll definitely be back again! read more

I came here on a Saturday evening. This is a great place to hang out and do art. I got the goji berry drink and it was great! It came out quickly within a minute. The owners are kind and patient, making sure you feel comfortable!There is so much variety for the arts and crafts. If you want a nice, chill place to do art and get some refreshment this is your place. Great value and affordable! There's parking outside but they're all paid parking right near the area. I recommend to come after 6 when parking is free for all. Highly recommend this place for dates, chill hangouts, or solo hangouts! read more

From the moment I walked in, it felt welcoming, cozy, full of possibility. vibe is friendly and relaxed, plenty of large tables for hanging out, working on something creative. There's a nice wall of craft kits! you can buy and work on it right there. lovely space for community building and welcoming connections I tried the hojicha latte, delicious and comforting, gently sweet, just right for me. teas and drinks available for purchase. I am very impressed with the concept and execution of this store. From the location in the city to the buildout of the interiors, everything is thoughtful and beautiful! I have been looking forward to the grand opening for a while and today was the day! The thoughtful planning exceeded my expectations. Cute craft cafe. There's a shelf for craft projects people can purpose to work on at the cafe, at home, or both. They host different craft workshops with local artists so if you're looking to learn something new is worth signing up for. I've tried a few workshops from making bead bracelets to linoleum block print to building a terraniums. Their snack menu has a pretty good variety for snacks to drinks. Prices are reasonable and I like that it's just final cost at the end. You do not need to do the whole tip suggestion before pay. There is a tip box and that's up to you which I appreciate. You can also bring in your own craft project to work on. I've sat in doing an embroidery kit and now with a punch kit. Background music is chill so you can just be lost in your own project or go with a group of friends to catch up over snacks. read more

What an amazing grand opening! The energy at Sunset Commons was great and it was very uplifting to see the community come out and support a small local business. The owner's Carmen and Steven were so positive and you can tell that they put their heart and soul into the business. I ordered a hojicha latte and it brought me back to when I visited Japan! It was smooth tasting and not too sweet. Perfect! I bought a clay kit for my daughter and I wish I could've stayed to craft. Definitely next time since we live so close. If you're nearby, I would definitely drop in for a drink and start a craft. The space is warm and inviting and it's great to meet our fellow neighbors. great place to study, came for a few hours with a couple friends. enjoyed the chill playlist and a very affordable cup of chai tea. behind us a few people were making jewelry which seemed intriguing. had a pleasant time talking with the welcoming owner for a bit. got a nice cheap bowl of ramen before leaving. definitely plan to come back soon for some arts, crafts and some of their specialty drinks. read more

We recently held a team building event here. Carmen was a great host and was flexible and responsive to all our needs. A diverse crew of about 20 people came and the whole team felt comfortable in the cute and cozy space. There was a great selection of crafts at different skill levels and varying interests, so everyone found something they enjoyed. The whole group had a great time! It's a charming arts and crafts cafe that is also available to reserve for private events which comfortably accommodated our 30 guests. The hourly rate was reasonable and there were no surprise fees.
