I took the class alone, but it would be a great date activity or with friends! There are a ton of cute restaurants and cafes nearby to make a day of it! So glad I took this class!

He repeatedly was rude, condescending, and belittling to me when I asked for help (umm... who's gonna tell him it's a school?!?) He also found it appropriate to make a racist joke to me (called my keffiyeh, a "terrorist rag"), and often made sexual jokes, in a room full of women. When I texted and emailed about my issues, Adam ignored me. No response (and have the receipts for it). I disputed my class charges to which he did not fight... but was majorly disappointed in my experiences overall. Would not go back nor recommend.

Adam's experience shines through guiding us beginners, helping to possibly avoid common pitfalls, and he is patient when you miss his queues. Adam approaches his work with joy and integrity, always remembering he's working with people, not simply a transaction. He is transparent about costs. And he is forthright based on his experience. Adam is more than fair and reasonable in all respects. For my wife's engagement ring, which was more complex for a beginner, Adam informed me it would take longer and require more of his hands-on assistance. The result was a stunning, unique piece that my wife and I absolutely love. I can't thank Adam enough for his support and expertise in making this happen! I wish there was a better-than 5-star option! This is a way to be a human and do business, well done Adam!

It really felt like saying goodbye to people who had become part of our family's daily life. Our kids loved the teachers, the activities, and all the little "firsts" they experienced there. They learned how to try new things, make friends, share, work through conflicts, and grow in so many ways. The teachers were also amazing partners for us as parents, helping us guide the kids through changes, transitions, and the normal ups and downs of family life. Communication was another thing we really appreciated. Between Brightwheel updates, photos, messages, and seeing the teachers every day at drop-off and pick-up, we always felt connected and supported. It truly felt like we had partners helping us through some of the most important years of our kids' lives. SOMA set the bar so high that when our older son started kindergarten, it was a real adjustment. No daily pictures? No regular drop-off and pick-up chats with teachers? No easy messaging? We had gotten spoiled. And when we moved to Berkeley, it was hard to find another preschool that matched the warmth, care, and community we had at SOMA. She takes the children to their community garden every week to teach them about where their food comes from, how to tend to the plants and how to harvest and enjoy whatever is in season. Her eldest sons host and teach soccer every Friday afternoon. Their support and influence has had a remarkable impact on my son, who loves soccer and basketball and clearly looks up to the older boys and enjoys playing with them. It warms my heart to see Camden so well taken care of. Massiva and her husband Younes, provide such a warm and loving environment at their home. I trust them wholeheartedly and I honestly could not imagine what I would do without their holistic support. My husband and I felt instantly at ease with them, in contrast to other daycares we visited that just cannot compare. An added bonus is that Massiva an excellent and creative photographer! The regular photos she sends parents through the daycare app are an absolute gift and treasure for us to have. Also when I did visit the facility the care takers or teachers looked as if there were in some sort of tension or disagreement. All in all it didn't seem like a peaceful environment I would want my child to be admitted to. Unfortunately building kids isn't for me and the can keep my $25 waitlist fee I guess.

I was looking for a fun class to take with my friend for her early birthday. I wanted to do…read moresomething different, so I spent over 2 hours looking for a class that I liked. I finally came across Craftivity on Google and saw that they offered a lot of fun classes. So I sent the list of classes to my friend to have her decide. She picked the resin coaster class. I've always wanted to get into resin craft making, especially during COVID, but didn't want to commit, so this was a nice trial for me to learn about resin! So I initially scheduled a class for 2PM on Saturday, but I had some last minute plans come up. So I reached out to Craftivity to see if they were able to move me to the 4PM class. I believe I spoke with Mary. She told me that she was able to accommodate my request if we have the class somewhere else, like at a common area at my home since they are used to hosting classes for team bonding activites / bachelorette parties. Luckily, the indoor common area in my building didn't have any reservations, so we were able to have the class there. On the day of the class, Metti, our instructor, arrived 45 minutes early to set-up our work station. When we were able to start, we realized that one of the lids for the resin was stuck! Apparently, the resin hardened at the top, so we couldn't twist the lid off. I tried to look for some tools to pry over the lid, but I didn't have anything that was wide enough to pry over the lid. After 20-25 minutes of Metti trying to use resin remover, scissors, and a bottle opener to scrap off the dried resin cast, the lid finally twisted off! We almost had to reschedule our class because we couldn't use the resin. I'm so glad that Metti didn't give up, so props to her! Since we started late, we also finished later. Metti didn't mind staying later to assist us the entire way. My friend and I learned so much about resin and really enjoyed the class. My friend made two kinds of resin products: 3 sunset coasters and 1 flower jewelry dish. I wanted to make some galaxy theme coasters. I wasn't able to imitate the design that I liked, so I made due with what I was able to do. it was pretty hard to draw or make thin lines / designs using different pigments. Since I had some left over resin, I decided to make a coaster holder and two smaller coasters to not let the resin go to a waste. The resin took a while to cure, so our session took over 2 hours. After all of our resin products were finally done cooling down, Metti wrapped our products in parchment paper and gave us a box for us to store our products. We helped her pack up and load the supplies back to her car. My friend and I really enjoyed our class. Thank you Craftivity (Mary & Metti) for being so accommodating and making this class so enjoyable! I would love to try out some other classes another time! :)

She did a great job explaining the process and answering questions, and even came prepared with an extra terrarium just in case, which was clutch as we ended up needing it. It was a fun and unique activity that all of the teams which participated really enjoyed, and we are still enjoying seeing each others' terrariums and reminding each other to water them when we're in the office.
