Food and service were excellent. First time there and everyone was super friendly. The place was jammed so the staff was running around like crazy but we'd definitely come back to Sunset. Food was okay. However, took over 45 minutes to get our food when the place wasn't even that busy when we showed up. Another table that showed up after us was served before us. Waiter was very inattentive, we had to ask another waitress where our food was and she ended up bringing it out for us. read more

I really like this place. It's clean, looks nice, free pool!! The outdoor seating is kinda cramped. The jukebox has tons of songs. The food is really good. Nice drink and beer selection. We've been eating at the Sunset Grill since 2013 whenever we're in Chelan vacationing. Although the atmosphere is very casual, and noisy, the service is always attentive and we love the food. Especially good are the entree salads, the burgers, and sandwiches. Prime rib French dip with carmelized onions and mushrooms is a winner, as is the Reuben sandwich, bleu cheese burger, and the best fish and chips outside of Seattle. We had a chicken & beef jalapeño burger with fries...FABULOUS! The service could be better. We never received utensils even though they said they would bring them. We had to ask for water refills. On a warm sunny day it would be great to have outdoors seating...something they are working on. If you're craving greasy eats, this is the place. We will go there again next summer. read more

In Chelan for a girls weekend in the spring. Our friend comes to Chelan frequently and this is one of her family's hot spots. We went on a Sunday night for dinner. Sunset had a special going on, pizza or pasta dishes for $10.95 (this seemed to be a weekly Sunday deal). Between the three of us ladies we shared one margherita pizza, one order of the veggie spring rolls and two of us got beer/wine for a grand total of ten dollars a person and full bellies! A great deal for post grad students. Very low key place, perfect for a casual night. Also we had good service, the food was timely and the waiter was attentive. And the smoking people mentioned, we didn't get a whiff of it while we were there. read more

Disappointing service. Gal was more interested in chatting with her friends that walked in than serving our table and she was the only one person working. I had a burger and it was fine. A burger is pretty tough to mess up. My kids ordered noodles with butter. The noodles were literally in a soup of butter. Even my kids said it was gross and they didn't want to eat them. For young kids to pass up their meal of buttered noodles, it has to be pretty bad. read more

We went there for dinner and I ordered nachos (as an appetizer) and a veggie burger with fries. The service was terrible, we waited 45min and my nachos came at the same time as the burger with cold melted cheese, meaning it had just been sitting somewhere while I was starving and the fries with the burger were also cold. The veggie burger was not exceptional and I do not recommend this place. read more

Food was pretty good, and I appreciate that they were willing to accomodate such a large group. My friends and I were in town for winterfest and decided to eat here one night. Our food was ready quickly and the waitress was generally courteous and attentive. A couple of my friends ordered drinks and those were out real quick. I didn't appreciate the "all your people look alike" comment at first, but then I noticed that she'd switched around some of our orders and I was impressed with the level of creativity in the racism. Nobody told me to get out of their country and I had an overall pleasant experience at dinner. I'd consider coming back if I'm ever in town again. read more

Went here a two weeks ago and the service was a little slow. There was 9 people who all got a variety of different foods off the menu and each of us had food poisoning. We've been staying at Wapato Point for the week and were referred to Sunset. We took the kids once and I had the ranch chicken avocado wrap and subbed soup got my dude, my daughter had the kids grilled cheese and my husband and 14 year old shared the steak dinner. My wrap was delicious and so was the soup and steak. My other daughter enjoyed her grilled cheese as well. The bill was kinda high at about $60 after tip but the steak was probably $25 of it. Anyway, it was good enough that we went back without the kids and this time I got the chicken piccata that was on special... I think I thought it was 15 and it ended up being $18. The sauce was really lemony and I thought it was alright. I wish I'd have gotten the soup instead because $18 was a lot for a ok meal. But if you love a stronger lemon sauce I'm sure you'd really enjoy it. My husband got a breakfast sandwich that he lived and it came with lots of tots :). Again, a pretty expensive meal but it's a good food choice if you want to stay in town. read more

When I asked how the prime rib was cooked she responded with "meaty. I don't eat meat so I'm not sure". We had to ask for refills on sodas and it took quite a while to get them after we asked. We were looking for something to eat on a sunday night in late September in manson/chelan.....lots of places are closed on sunday night. We called Sunset Bar/Grill and they said they were serving food until 8:30 pm. We were pleasantly surprised with the extensive nature of the menu; and there was a special for pizzas with 2 toppings for $14. Two people in our party got the pizza and it was easily enough for 2 or even 3 people. The clam chowder was super hearty, with chunks of potato and bacon and clams. The sweet potato fries that came as an option with the burger were awesome. And there were big screen TVs everywhere you looked. You have to put up with an amount of noise in this place, but it is to be expected in a bar/gill. read more
