Everything about the salads was fresh - no brown or wilted lettuce, as we've almost come to expect when ordering a salad in a bar. But it was the 'Man Candy' that has to be the signature appetizer! This was a super fun bar we visited during our vacation on lake chelan. I went on a Friday night and it had a good local crowd, which is always fun to see over the touristy spots. Well would love to give a better review but after sitting outside for 15 minutes and having 3 servers Walk by and offer no service we headed next door(across the street) to My buddy's Place greeted immediately and served promptly. We came on a summer week night, and sat at the bar. After about 15 minutes we ordered. Fish and chips were good, but for over $20, a little cole slaw would have been lovely. What a pleasant surprise to find a hip sports bar in Manson with good food and great service! There is not a bad seat in the place, as TVs are generously placed throughout the entire bar. The bathrooms were super clean and maintained (a real plus for my wife). Frankie the bartender rocked the room providing great service and added to the experience with her engaging personality! I am sadly disappointed in my latest visit to sunset this time. The kids menu has jumped up in price, 7 dollars for kraft mac and cheese. The Prime rib was sub par at best and the pizza was delivered raw. I have been coming here for more than six years and have never had a bad thing to say. Had a pleasant dinner at the Sunset Bar and Grill in downtown Manson. Sat on their very pleasant outdoor patio protected from the street. We were happy to have options other than pizza and burgers so we both had pasta. I had the linguine carbonara and my partner had linguine with mushrooms with prawns. This place was ok. It's a place to hang out with a decent selection on the menu. However, if you're expecting fine dining, thus isn't the place for you. Went there twice. One night for a few drinks (ordered a Lynchburg lemonade which they evidently didn't know how to make and admitted to. The mai-tai was good though.) Went back the next day for their "man candy" appetizer which was a one time novelty. 4 pieces of thick hardwood bacon battered and deep fried. Comes with maple sweet chili and chocolate dipping sauces. This appetizer was ok...definitely a major greasy gut bomb. Gotta have at least once though. Also had a few cocktails on this visit which were decent. Bartender was friendly both nights as was the other staff. Would go again and try their other food since we weren't given a reason to not return. read more

I must say I am terribly disappointed in the restaurant as it came recommended. We get there and are 8 people deep waiting to be seated because there is a sign at the front door to wait. While we were waiting with the other folks, a couple came in behind us and go straight to get seated at the bar in which we were waiting for. When it came our turn to be seated Ben said it would be 15 minutes to be seated at which I responded that the two at the middle of the bar went right around us. Ben's comments were that they were friends and come here all the time. I said well that's good to know. Obviously their money must be better than mine...the people that make this town a success and supporting the wineries mean nothing to this inexperienced small business who doesn't know he is nothing without customers and referrals. To my disappointment when we were finally seated 15 minutes later, and the two he let cut the line had taken the two middle seats of the four open seats at the bar that we were waiting for, leaving one on each side of them! Apparently the Sunset has been going downhill since new ownership, and I can honestly say their customer service is horrible and won't get anymore of my hard earned money! Don't waste your time and money here and don't go by the menu on their website as it is from the old owner of the Sunset. The new menu was terribly small and their prices don't reflect what one reasonable person would expect. I only wish I would have read the recent reviews and would have not wasted my time and money here! Came here around lunch time on a Saturday. Definitely pub-like atmosphere. They have an outdoor seating around that could sit maybe 40 people. We came in, seated ourselves outside, and were waited on within a few minutes. The waitress was friendly and attentive. We got water right away and the alcoholic beverages we ordered were nice and cold (and cheap). My husband got a burger with fries and I got a chicken avocado bacon wrap with toys.
