I love the red light therapy and sunless tanning options! The staff are friendly and everything is very clean.

I would recommend going to a different salon (even if it's a bit further away). The customer service is non-existent - don't sign a contract here without reading it because the employees will tell you one thing and then sign you up for another (and take 0 accountability). NEVER use their "pause subscription agreement" it is a scam. I was using the studio but decided to cancel my subscription. The person at the desk suggested I just pause the membership until I decide to come back so I said sure and then to my surprise the next month it went right back to full price. I asked to be refunded to clear things up (which should be simple) but they refused. I was hoping that they would put a higher value on someone who had been a customer with them for almost 2 years but they don't / won't give you the time of day. read more

Do not go here. I just had to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. They have an F rating with the BBB. After my failed attempt to address this with the company, I submitted a complaint with the government regulatory body - BC Consumer Protection as well, since they obviously do not care about the 15+ complaints to the BBB. For others that have been scammed by this company, you are protected by the Sales of Goods Act and the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act. But you need to act under those statutes within 2 years. There are also avenues of redress through tort law, such as the civil resolution tribunal. Based on all the complaints and reviews online, this company needs to be held responsible for what amounts to a pattern of ripping people off in the exact same manner, and threatening to send fraudulent claims to collections as blackmail. This is not a business model that is above board, by any means. read more

Always great staff. Only negatives are dying plants and AC that doesn't work in the High Pressure room. Otherwise it's a good business, with really nice people. Be careful parking in the lot, if you value your car's paint. A lot of really bad drivers frequent this strip mall. read more

I enjoy going to this tanning salon! Clean, friendly employees, and I love how I can always just walk in for my tan. I've been enjoying the angel bed, as well as the high pressure bed! It's a bit expensive, but it is a luxury and they do offer the best equipment and products. I really like the angel bed because it relaxes your muscles while it tones you, and I like the high pressure bed because it's not as harmful as regular tanning bulbs. They have a few locations but my favourite is the mountain highway, as there is free easy parking and it's very close to where I live. I've gone here for about 5 years now, and it's the only place I recommend for tanning services. read more

I have been struggling to find the words for a review for this company. As I am a small business owner myself I really hate to give a bad review on to another business but I have no choice in this matter. At the beginning of March I had requested with Sunscape to get a full refund since I had contracted a fungal infection from their tanning beds but I paid in advance for a year of tanning . I know that 100% it was from their tanning beds because I work from home and the only escape that I have , the only time out that I have is to go and tan in their tanning beds. When I went to the doctors and got medical attention for my skin infection the doctor had even said that tanning beds are breeding grounds for this type of skin infection. at the beginning of February one of their washers broke down and they had no towels for guests and who knows if they had clean towels to wipe down the beds but that is around the time that I had contracted the skin infection . At first I thought that it was just a dry spot from the weather but then it started to spread and I got medical attention after I receive this medical attention I went to Sunscape and talk to the manager but their manager did not provide me with any solution although she suggested was for me to email Sunscape tanning. After receiving a response from Sunscape it was very apparent to me That they were not taking responsibility for the fact that the washer was not working and that I had contracted a skin infection from their tanning beds. They did not offer to freeze my yearly membership while my skin infection went away and I also did ask for a refund which they would not give back to me. I am truly disappointed as this is a case that will keep me from ever supporting their establishment and making sure that nobody I know personally will make the same mistake as I did. I hope that the staff can use this as an example to THOROUGHLY sanitize their beds . . read more

This is the worst establishment that I have ever encountered in my entire life. I have been waiting for a refund from this company for weeks and you cannot reach the head office via ANYTHING but email. You cannot call them, you cannot comment on their Instagram or send them a message via Instagram because they have restricted comments and messages. I'm trying to cancel my membership and they're making it impossible. read more

The best tanning salon I've ever used! Nice friendly professional staff, super clean and up to date decor. A wide variety of tanning beds and options. Up to the minute new technology in the beds as well as the lotions they sell. YES indeed they are expensive, but some options may work well for you. I used to have the full everything package which was around 95/month with taxes. I was splurging big time here, but I love the high-pressure bed which works so very well and it was included as much as I wanted. Brown fat looks so much better than white fat!! Trying to be a lot more frugal now, I go for the $20/ month plan which gives you discounts on the points system they use to pay different amounts for different level beds. This $20 includes one high pressure bed session monthly (it would be 40 if you just walked in off the street). It also gives you a discount on the tanning lotions, which honestly are grossly overpriced. The packaging is so pretty though! LOL The high pressure bed uses only UVA rays which never burn and give you a long lasting tan.. once you have a base (3 or 4 sessions within 10 days or so) you only need 12 minutes of exposure a week to keep up your tan. .. less exposure, less damage.. :) They offer a storage area behind the counter for you to leave your product, which is very convenient. They also have several locations, and there is never an issue with membership as their computer system works great. You may be put off by their fingerprint recognition system for signing you in. If you are a tanning fanatic, this is the place for you! read more

I like this place, the staff are friendly, it's always clean, and I got a nice even tan for my trip. Thanks guys read more

Best tanning salon I've been to! Friendly service and you never have to wait long unless it's free tanning day and the wait isn't too bad unless it is the new high pressure bed. The prices are reasonable compared to a few other places I've been to. They don't push for extra sales like some other places. Well worth the drive! read more

Terrible service!! Bed stopped halfway thru, after waiting in there for 15minutes while she tried to "work" it out but couldn't, it then somehow was my fault., blaming that I must have pressed a button that I didn't! Totally waste of my time! When I brought it to a manager they clearly didn't care...we gave them a couple more chances but things were often not working properly, dead bulbs, air conditioner for months broken making the bed unbearable!! The staff are totally unprofessional and insufficiently trained. What happened to customer service...we dreaded going here! And The red bed doesn't work, several of us tried it for several months. read more

Sunscape is my new favorite tanning salon !!! I dont go to the one in North Van , but i couldnt find the South Surrey on in here.... Anyways.... It is at the top , other tanning salons can not compare!! I am used to going to Island tan were the beds are junk and the girls are snotty and think they are all that! (like really, you work at a tanning salon ... get over yourself!) When i went in to Sunscape i was surprised at how friendly and helpful the staff was! They really make you feel welcome! The beds are top of the line and super fancy.... one even tells you to have a nice tan. Very Very impressed with the service! read more

The staff are well-trained and understand how the pricing and packages work to get the best value. It's great to be able to share a package. We got 2 packages for 2 different bed levels so that we could switch between the types of beds for a lower price, which the staff recommend is the best way to tan. I like this place, they are helpful, friendly, careful and knowledgeable about tanning, and super-clean. I've never had to wait! read more

DON'T ever go here. They have no idea what they are doing. They take your money and don't provide the service you paid for. Their staff is unprofessional and have no idea what they are talking about. A friend warned me about this place, but I need to experience things for myself so I literally learned the hard way what a joke this place is. Reply - If you're trying to be funny you're not. I am an adult and did try to resolve my issue with you before I posted a review and you did nothing!!!! Trust me everyone you do not want to have anything to do with this company. I switched to Beach Tanning beside YYoga in Lynn Valley - they are AMAZING. The only reason I am recommending another company in a review is because of the stupid response they just posted. Try some professionalism for once! read more

The girls are always super friendly and talkative, especially Megan, and either get me in super quick or make waiting as pleasant as possible. I also don't feel the pressure of being upsold like other salons in the past so I come back here year after year. read more

Every time I've gone to SunScape Mountain Highway, I've dealt with a different staff member. Regardless of who has helped me, I have been given lots of information on safety as well as the benefits and drawbacks of the different packages available. The staff never push product sales, but I have purchased products willingly because they are really nice quality. I enjoy chatting with the friendly staff and I always leave feeling relaxed and pampered. The price is very reasonable, however unlike some of the more expensive tanning places, you don't receive freebies like vitamin water, coffee, or aftersun. SunScape is an excellent option for upper-mid level tanning salon as it is clean, the staff are amazing, and the packaged deals are a great value. I will definitely purchase a new package once mine runs out. read more

After a year of pretty good service at Sunscape's Mtn Hwy location in North Vancouver I had a negative experience. This left a very bad taste in my mouth. When arriving for an afternoon tan I was told my account was frozen due to my credit card not going through for my monthly contract payment. I assured the receptionist that there is always large amounts of room on my credit card to absorb payments of any kind at that I've been using it without fail. I gave her my card and said that maybe their system had a glitch and we could settle it right then. She handed me a receipt for $80 which was $25 more than my $55 dollar contract price. When I questioned it she said it was a surcharge for NSF. I stated that the problem was not with my card and that it must be their system. To arbitrarily charge me $25 was unacceptable. She said there was nothing she could do about it and said to contact head office. This was impossible as they don't have a phone number listed and you can only message them through their website. This was quite frustrating and showed poor customer service. I started reading some reviews on Sunscape and found that this is not uncommon when dealing with them. I called my credit card company to stop payment a few hours later and I'm canceling my membership with them. Contractually, this is going to cost me as I didn't read the fine print. Please know that their customer service for billing is non existent and their methods somewhat unscrupulous. I'll be looking for another tanning provider. read more

Friendly accommodating staff, great selection of beds, good tunes, very relaxing during the week, great packages available, I really enjoy and appreciate the down time, feeling relaxed every time. read more

Head office/management is awful, whoever responds to emails is rude and I never get a reply when I have an issue (there's been a ton from payments to unsatisfied service). I know someone who caught a fungal disease from some girl not cleaning the beds. The ladies behind the desk however are nice and friendly, but the cons outweigh the pros. Would NOT recommend. read more

This is a garbage company with unnecessary policies regarding fingerprinting for the purposes of account recognition. They informed me after my account was set up and payment was processed that they would require my fingerprints for their system to access my membership. I was never informed of this prior to my commitment and was not okay with that process being required. I wasn't allowed to proceed with the tans I had just purchased until I consented to the fingerprinting, nor was I allowed a refund, so I was really stuck. The associate let me have a "complimentary" tan for the day until the matter could be cleared with head office, however after a lengthy email cycle with the head office, I was made to feel not only belittled and paranoid for my concerns, but also that these concerns were absurd and had no merit. I'm no conspiracy theorist but the taking of fingerprints, regardless of how it translates to a binary code, is without a doubt a personal, intrusive and unnecessary procedure for such a service. A refund was eventually granted after much contention, however the "complimentary" tan was charged against my credit card and they claimed their associate would've never offered such a thing. Never have I dealt with a company who cared so little for its customer base, treated me so poorly, and did so little to rectify a wrong that they committed. read more

Both my husband and I tried out the North Vancouver Tanning salon once again. the other times we have had uneven sunless tanning in the Versa Booth which at that location is new. The Mystic booth was fantastic; however, it was removed a couple of months ago. Since that time, the new booth has proven to be problematic. Streaky, uneven....tanned where you don't want...no tan where you want. One leg tanned the other not. I may have 3 fingers tanned the other parts of the hand untanned....the boobs untanned but in between tanned. My husband was in the same condition (minus the boobs)...he had one leg tanned the other not so much. Also, if you ask for a darker tan, unlike the mystic which was simple front and back to the versa's front, sides and back......waaaay unnecessary....defeats the purpose which no doubt was to even the tan but unfortunately....NOT. I give this new spray tan booth a 'zip'. the owner's do not seem to get the message on this machine because it still remains in poor service ....The Versa booth just isn't all that! Bring the mystic Back. read more
