Over the span of three months, he oversaw the demolition of the house, removing two load bearing walls as well as all of the flooring and bathrooms (tub, toilets, vanities). I would give Simon a 6-star rating if that was an option. His demeanor as head contractor was always calm, respectful and considerate. He guided me through the process of selecting new floors, appliances, fixtures, and a completely new HVAC system. Simon's subcontractors were all very friendly and professional. It appears that he is very careful in who he hires for his remodels. All aspects of their work met my approval in quality. It with great pleasure and confidence that I recommend Simon and his crew to undertake any kitchen, bath and home remodeling that a customer might desire!

April 2025 Seattle, WA…read more Why we chose to work with Simon: 1) We gathered about a dozen estimates. Simon was one of two contractors who offered bids within our budget. 2) Simon spent a full hour exploring the space and asking questions. All other bids completed only a cursory look of the space, and failed to notice details that needed consideration. Simon pointed out a lot of things that were important for us to understand before moving forward with the project. Simon also said that estimate would take a couple of days to fine tune (versus other contractors who seemed to just throw out a number). 3) Simon immediately came across as a person with integrity and good communication skills. Our experience with Simon and his team: 1) Impeccable communication throughout the process. No leaving us in the dark, and always responsive to our questions. Simon responds to texts and emails right away. 2) Consistent work schedule. Once the project started, his team was at the house for 10 hours daily, 5 to 6 days per week. No disappearing acts. 3) Excellent team - Incredibly skilled with attention to detail. The team is also polite and conscientious. 4) Design skills - Rather than hire a separate designer, Simon and his team were meticulous in making sure the design details and colors were aligned with our 1904 house architecture. 6) Beautiful results -- We now have a renovated, upscale master bathroom that even has a custom vanity. I was so happy with the outcome that I also hired his team to replace our 120-year old wood floors. Our house has not only been transformed into an elegant space but we were able to keep both projects to a budget that was less than what most contractors estimated for just the bathroom project! We fully intend to hire Simon again for future projects!

Exceptional Craftsmanship - Scott Morris Construction…read more Scott Morris Construction built my ~3,700 sq. ft. luxury home in Kirkland, and the experience exceeded every expectation. What truly sets Scott and his team apart is that they deliver the resources, organization, and value of a large corporate builder, but with a level of craftsmanship and attention to detail that only true artisans can provide. Every part of the process reflected pride in their work. The quality of construction, finishes, and problem-solving on site was simply on another level. These aren't just contractors putting up houses -- they are craftsmen who treat each home like a piece of art. It's rare to find a builder that combines high-end luxury quality with the efficiency and pricing discipline of a larger operation, but Scott Morris Construction does exactly that. If you want a home that feels truly custom and built with care, I can't recommend them highly enough.

Hardwoods - we had red oak mixed with carpet, stone, and laminate. They pulled the carpet, stone, and laminate and weaved new red oak into our existing red oak and stained it dark. At the time, we had a 2yr old toddler and they did the job quickly and cleanly, leaving the home livable and safe after each day of work. They even took care of a dead raccoon for us (story for another day haha). Kitchen - they remodeled our entire kitchen in 2.5 weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas, allowing us to host our family in a brand new space. Scott and his team do design work and ordering, but we opted to get our design and cabinets through Lowes bc we wanted to take advantage of a sale. Scott and Tyler then took all the design mocks and materials and implemented them in our home and customized things along the way (backsplash, waterfall counter, moulding, lighting, etc.). They did it with so much care and attention to detail and took feedback every step of the way. Never was it challenging to talk through options or make corrections. He truly just wants to give you something you'll love. And again, they left our place clean and liveable every single night for those 2.5 weeks. He kept the oven range plugged in every day, never any loose material, not dusty at all, and completely safe for our small children. My wife also made a comment that she never once saw anyone's ass crack haha. So, take that as another plus in working with Scott and his team! Goes without saying but we wouldn't hesitate to bring them back for our next job!

I had a window package coming Monday and was ghosted again by a contractor. I was scrambling Thursday to find help, which is nearly impossible on the timeline I had, but Max was on-site same day I called to provide an estimate. He was prepared to get this window relocated for me on Monday, but it rained and the windows were delayed, so we both agreed Tuesday would be better. He hit the ground running, covering everything to keep things from getting too dirty, he was clean, he was efficient, effective, communicative, respectful, and did what he said he'd do (yes, most people don't-weird also, 3 contractors have made sexual advance on me and ghosted when I put up a boundary-money also isn't good enough for many these days either). Not only did he relocate the window, he corrected some wiring for me as well (lots of corrective action required in this house before I can even start moving forward), he also closed up a door, and was going to trim out my windows (that's on hold due to the window company). If I could pay him to do everything around my house I don't have the time, tools, or knowledge I would. He has an ownership mentality and treats your home like it's his own. He is a rare breed and definitely someone to be respected! Thank you so very much Max! I can't tell you how much I appreciated you being a respectful, hardworking individual. You're always welcome back for more work if you'd like!

I received estimates from two other companies and probuilds was very competitive. I was lucky enough that they were able to start working right away. I worked with the owner, Thomas, who did a great job communicating with me through the whole project so I was never left wondering what would happen next. All members of his crew were professional, did great work, and cleaned up after themselves after finishing for the day. There were a few cost overruns from late design decisions but that was entirely on me and other than that the end total lined up with the estimate. Ive had a few ok experiences and a few poor experiences with home remodelers in the past. I can safely say this is the best experience ive had with any home remodeling project.

We talked with other companies, but ultimately chose Woodcrafters as there was an immediate level of comfort and communication style that put us at ease. I appreciated the time Travis spent up front really understanding what the project entailed, as well as the time spent educating us on common issues that tend to arise, and how we might address those. Once the project started, having the weekly meetings was really helpful and the ability to access their online project management tool allowed me to track progress, document decisions, view timelines and budget, etc. We were really happy with the quality of work. One of the main features of our project was replacing an outdated pony wall with a decorative, wood partition wall that fit the era of the house. Based on a photo, they were able to design and construct a beautiful wall that has become a focal point. The crew was friendly, considerate (as we were living in the basement during remodel) and responsive. Overall, really happy with Woodcrafters and looking forward to using them when we tackle the basement!
