An amazing little diner family oriented would definitely go again. I love trying local places on vacation and would definitely come again

Brought my brother here--crab benedict was the star! Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly saucy. Sausage and French toast were just okay. Solid 4 stars, will be back to try more!

This is the proverbial greasy spoon! Wait staff friendly. Breakfast OK. Ordered 1 egg, grits, bacon and toast. They use good bread for the toast but they put too much butter on it and made it soggy. This place needs a good cleaning. Ceiling fans and AC vents need cleaned badly. Counter seats in desperate need of repair (see photo) Not sure I will return when I'm back in town. Counter seats in desperate need of repair.

Sunrise Diner 365 W. Cocoa Beach Cswy. Cocoa Beach, FL 32931 2.5 Stars The name staring back at me from my random name generator caused a rueful smile to creep across my lips. This occurred because in a prior life from 1999-2001 I literally ate breakfast here every morning. This is a testament to how long this place has been in operation. However, as good as they once were, just viewing their name has become a dissight for they have gone severely downhill since the glory days of my youth. Sunrise Diner in Cocoa Beach has joined the list of once-great restaurants that have given up. Literally. Allie is my server and is one of the most honest pro's out there. You know you can trust your server when they tell you what to avoid. In this case, Allie told me not to order the biscuit. With that in mind, I did ask for some Moussaka and some Corned Beef Hash, eggs and potatoes. Looking around and taking a few pictures, I was saddened by how empty the joint had become. What was once a thriving, humming local hot spot had become a barren, dried-up desert void of all but a few stalwarts or the uninitiated. Allie soon returned with my grub and after grabbing some shots of that, prepared to get to work. First up was the Moussaka. I ask that you take a gander at the picture of said dish. It looked horrid. It tasted horrid. It was horrid. I don't know how you screw up a dish as simple and standard as this, but screw it up someone did. The sauce was just nasty. Maybe too much sugar or not enough herbs. I'm not sure, but I am sure it didn't sit well on my palate. Moving on to the Corned Beef Hash, eggs and potatoes. While this wasn't nearly as bad as the Moussaka, or what passed as such here, it wasn't anything to text Mom about. The eggs were cooked to order and tasty. The Beef Hash, while obviously out of a food service industrial-sized can, was executed properly and the potatoes were freshly sliced. If I had only ordered the Moussaka, this would have been a 1-star or maybe even a Swill Alert. This was the saving grace and it was slightly below average. That should tell you all you need to know about how far down this place has sunk. The Big Boy says, "There is much better Moussaka and eggs within 3 miles of this place. Go there. This place is yuck."

Made a quick detour to Sunrise diner. As a matter a fact, we were trying to find a different one and bumped into this place with our rental car. Walking in you get that diner feel, and see that obviously this is a place locals go to, so you know it's going to be good. The servers are helpful in letting you know what to get if you're stuck, for the grits our server let us know that the locals have it with; pepper, butter, and put it over the egg. I tried it and was hooked! The catfish is really really good, fresh, and the breading doesn't take away from the filet. The biscuits though good, didn't quite meet up to my expectations. Overall a great little breakfast (served all day!) spot to have a taste of local cuisine.

Asked for eggs over medium both plates, both were to slimmie. The plate closes to you the potatoes were under cooked. The biscuits in the gravy were burnt on bottom. Bread was not toasted enough.

Cute little place that is a taste of old Florida. Locally owned with a real owner who stops by and checks on the food. Been coming here for about 4 years. Fresh squeezed OJ and large portions they leave you ready for the day.

Gyro and Salmon filet (which was served with loaded potato soup too)

We grabbed seats at the bar, and right out of the gate the experience was mission-ready. The girls behind the bar were awesome, friendly, attentive, and just had that effortless vibe that makes you feel like a regular even if it's your first visit. Now the food... wow. Everything came out fresh, hot, and absolutely dialed in. The burgers were stacked and juicy, the sandwiches loaded, and those sidewinder fries? Forget it. Crispy, golden perfection. You can tell nothing sat under a heat lamp, this was all cooked to order and launched straight to the table. Best way I can describe it given the location... This wasn't just good food, it was a full-on flavor liftoff. Like sitting a few miles from Cape Canaveral and watching a rocket punch through the atmosphere, everything about this meal just took off and didn't look back. Great people, killer food, laid-back atmosphere... this place hits on all cylinders. We'll definitely be back for another launch

I've eaten at a lot of restaurants in my life, but nothing compares to the experience we had. Yes,…read morethe food was phenomenal. Yes, the ambiance was perfect. But let's be honest: this place runs on one thing and one thing only, Josh. From the moment we sat down, Josh didn't just "serve" our table. He orchestrated it. The man moves like a hospitality ninja. Water glasses never dropped below the halfway mark. Empty plates disappeared as if teleported. He anticipated our needs before we even knew we had them. At one point, I casually considered ordering another drink, and somehow Josh was already walking toward the table with it. Telepathy? Probably. When we asked for recommendations, he didn't just list menu items, he delivered a passionate, Oscar-worthy monologue about flavor profiles, textures, and life-changing sauces. We ordered exactly what he suggested, and I'm convinced my taste buds ascended to a higher plane. If Josh told me to try something I've sworn I'd never eat, I'd trust him without hesitation. The food itself? Incredible. Perfectly cooked, beautifully plated, and clearly crafted with care. But somehow it all tasted better because Josh brought it to the table. I'm not saying he seasoned it personally... but I'm also not ruling it out. He handled a packed dining room with the calm confidence of someone who was born for this. Other servers were great but it was hard to notice anyone else while witnessing Josh in his element. It felt less like dinner and more like watching a masterclass in hospitality. By the end of the night, we weren't just satisfied customers, we were Josh fans. If this restaurant has any sense, they'll put his face on the menu, the sign, maybe even the building. Five stars for the food. Five stars for the atmosphere. Ten stars for Josh. We'll absolutely be back, mostly to see Josh.

Inside is a tiki bar vibe, it is very small business and the waitress is super nice (and must deal with a lot). It was virtually empty when we went for dinner. Mussel and clam in white wine: okay the bread was not even grilled (I had expected some buttery smoked grill mark situation) and the clams had a lot of sand in them. There was a handful of dead mussels. And overall it was a bit salty and lacking in freshness. Mahi taco- inside was good but idk if orlando doesn't have a good bread place cuz the tortilla was soo bad. Like no moisture, fake tasting tortilla. Otherwise the fish and toppings are yummy and I can see why its recommended. Again not really the blackened grill flavor. The fries were real potato (russet) but also felt a overfried/fried too long at a low temperature because they were greasy and some were burnt.. The fried oysters were okay, on the smaller side. Overall, this place might be better for fried baskets and like fish and chips rather than fresh seafood experience. Also considering it is on the cape/island you do have to drive out a long way on a single road to get to it, so that might have also influenced my expectations. Again the service is good and nice if you do want to support a local business. Just for the price and repertoire, maybe I had higher expectations.
