I needed a jump start for my car but figured there was a chance I needed a new battery, so I looked…read moreon Yelp and this service came recommended (just under 5 stars, 27 reviews at the time). I called and asked about pricing. The cost (whether jump start or battery) was reasonable. Mr. Ayala said he'd pick up the battery on the way just in case - having gotten the information I had on hand for my make and model, and my equipment preference if it came to that. He also said that I wouldn't be charged for the battery if it wasn't needed - regardless of him making this outlay. As promised, he showed up about 45 minutes after our call - this is with him driving up to Baltimore. When he arrived, Mr. Ayala looked at the battery, said it was 2 years old, no corrosion - relatively young for the equipment. That it probably would be just a jump start (I had left the car sitting for too long). He then promptly walked me through the steps to jump it, while attaching the cords to the outlets. The car started. Then he had me turn it off without the cords attached to check that it still started, which it did. The service was $85. Perfectly reasonable. Convenient and timely, as well, and I found him to be pleasant and knowledgeable.

The one thing that gives me extreme anxiety is my vehicle. I'm always hyper-sensitive when it comes…read moreto noises that my vehicle makes and just in general when it comes to my vehicle. When moving to the state of Maryland I had no idea what the process was for vehicle inspection...honestly, I still don't understand it even though I just went through it. Me, all anxiety ridden, procrastinated until the point where my vehicle was out of date with the inspection/registration. Honestly, I still have my Pennsylvania state inspection sticker on my windshield and it threw me for a loop. According to PA my vehicle was still in good legal standing there until August, it didn't click until now that I needed to get it in legal standing in Maryland. I finally bit the bullet and did a search of garages that would do the inspection near me and with the help of Yelp I found a highly rated, locally and family owned garage nearby. Before coming I called ahead, left a message with what I was looking for, and waited for a call back. When I got a call back from them I got all the information I needed and asked about how long it would take and cost. Brian was amazing. He was upfront with me on every aspect of what to expect. Luckily for me, if I had my vehicle there soon I would be able to have my vehicle inspected and ready to go around lunchtime. When I showed up at the establishment Brian was there to greet me. He did my intake and answered all my questions. I'm sure he could tell I was anxious. I went about the rest of my morning and when lunchtime rolled around, and I literally stepped away from my computer I got a message that my vehicle passed the inspection and was ready to pick up. He even told me that my oil was low and he would top it off for me if I'd like. I said please do. When I got back to the establishment all I had to do was pay and be on my way. However, I had more questions and they were happy to answer my multitude of questions. I had such a great experience here that they surely gained a customer out of me for as long as I live in this area. I liked how upfront they were here. They told me everything I needed to hear and not what they wanted to tell me. Such a true business.

We saw some good reviews on this place, but those must be the old ones or ones written by friends. I would look for another shop. I arrived at the shop 20-30 min after that phone call and found that the car would not start when I arrived. As mentioned previously the car was running and was driven to their shop and had to be towed out. The owner states they would like to handle this offline. As stated they will not return my calls and in the time it took to write that response he could have called me but did not. They did not charge me (I would hope not after damaging my car and performing unauthorized work) but it cost me $1200 to just to repair the damage they caused. The receipt is attached. I don't want anything from them at this point beyond admitting their mistakes and an apology for damaging my car and lying to me about it. But I know that's not going to happen so I just want to warn others to beware of this shop. Use their services at your own risk.

They earned 5 stars because although there were some inconvenient and frustrating scheduling discrepancies that occurred regarding my pick up date, they rectified the situation. The customer service was great. It was easy to get an appointment and connect with my insurance company to get the damage fixed. It has been my intent to call them to see how much they would charge to solely detail my car in the near future because it was that shiny all over and so spotless inside. Job well done for getting my vehicle back in superior shape.
