    So I took my car here today for a oil change when I got there I had no service lights on my dashboard. While there after the filter is removed the technician ask me to get out the car so he can show me the air filter housing was broken and says it had to be broken before today however he completed the oil change and guess what my check engine light was on so of course I complained saying it couldn't had been broken before today because my service light wasn't on until you bothered my car. This is unbelievable I feel the staff is incompetent please stay away do not take your car here I blame myself for trying to get a quick oil change and not going to the dealership. I'm so disappointed

I've had to inspect two cars in Maryland during my time living here and this experience was the worst. They don't value your time and the cost of simple repairs are ridiculous. The initial inspection was fine. They found two cosmetic issues with the car that I had to be fixed. Both on the exterior of the car. One, for example, was the rear wiper blade. So the car fails, which is understandable. If your vehicle happens to fail, please do your research and compare cost for ANY fixes. For example, my back windshield wiper failed because it "smudges a little". I found that debatable however I didn't push on the issue. They told me to replace it they would have to (1) order the part which would take a day or two to arrive, and (2) the cost was $25+. I found that same wiper blade at the local AutoZone for $12 right after I left. And for anyone with the front two windows tinted on their vehicle, for window tint removal, they charge $150 which is absurd and overpriced. As for respecting customers time, they do not. I called on Monday to verify that the inspector would be available on Tuesday morning to reinspect my vehicle. I was told he would be in and that my appointment would be at 8AM when they open. I arrive at 7:55 AM and check in for my appointment. Do you know that I sat in the waiting room for 40 minutes before they decided to tell me that the inspector would not be coming to work that day? I wasted 40 minutes of my time when I could have left and rescheduled. The reinspection was rescheduled for the following day, again at 8 AM. This time I called the front desk before arriving to ensure that the inspector was indeed at work. Not surprised, I was told the inspector was "on his way to work" and that he " lived very far." I digress... To reinspect two cosmetic changes on my car, I sat in the waiting room for over an hour. I had to go to the front desk to ask for status of my car before they finished 15 minutes later. I am thankful that my car successfully inspected. However, I would not return to this location.

I went somewhere else only to find out it was just the wrong bulbs that needed to change not the bay as a whole. I walked in a lady by myself and of course got over charged and a whole run around about my car not fair and over charged. If I want dealership prices I can just go to the dealership

Unfortunately, our experience with the team here was disappointing. There appeared to be a lack of internal communication, which created confusion and unnecessary complications during a time-sensitive situation. We initially brought in our vehicle and received guidance from one of the mechanics on how to proceed. When we returned at a later time to pick up the vehicle, we encountered a different staff member who was unprofessional and released the vehicle without providing a quote for the recommended services. Subsequently, another staff member took an approach that directly contradicted the original plan discussed, which ultimately made things more expensive and confusing. When we returned once again, we were given a paper quote that was significantly higher--by several thousand dollars--than what was originally communicated via text. Due to the inconsistency, poor communication, and overall frustration, we chose not to move forward with their services. It was a costly and stressful experience, and we would not recommend this shop to others.

The technician did a free of charge inspection and told me there is nothing wrong with the brakes. I am glad now I can drive the car with confidence. I looked into the service bay and saw all four of my tires removed before anyone even explained what they were doing. That is unacceptable. If an inspection requires that level of teardown, customers should be told upfront. The excessive wait time and lack of transparency made this a very frustrating experience.

I agreed to the service based on that information. After the tires were installed and I went to pay I was told that I could only receive the promotion if I also purchased a brake flush. I never asked for a brake flush and this requirement was not mentioned before the work was done. Even after they added the brake flush the tire was not free. It was only discounted fifty percent. Customers should be shown a full invoice and total cost before any service is performed. If I had been shown the invoice ahead of time I would not have approved the brake flush. I would have chosen another option by going to another tire center or even another NTB location which is about fifty miles from my home. This experience was misleading and unfair. It did not honor the promotion that was advertised and it added a service that I did not request. To resolve this issue I am requesting the following: 1. A refund for the unauthorized brake flush 2. The tire purchase adjusted to honor the original offer of one free tire 3. Confirmation that NTB will provide full invoices before beginning any work

    WORST AUTO EXPERIENCE EVER. should be zero stars. my car had overheated and appeared to be a…read morecoolant leak and was looking to tow somewhere. i had called to different auto shops to check availability around 3-4 pm, this pep boys location told me they would at least look at my car that same day. this was the main reason i came here. the next day comes and waited and never received an update to my car, so i called several times to inquire and was given vague answers. near the end of day, i called and was told they fixed it and was letting it run for an hour and should be ready around then (6pm or so) and would be given a call. however, i never got a call, and there phone line was dead so I could not confirm if that car was good to go. the next day i called in the AM to ask what the status of my car and was told they had not worked on it and was waiting for my "approval" to work on it; which was a shock and disappointing given the previous conversation. from there, again never called once this entire time, i called around noon and was told my car was ready to be picked up. i picked it up, drove to work (about 20 min drive) and noticed my coolant reservoir had depleted quite noticeably. when i drove home (another 20 mins) it was almost empty. it became clear i was gushing coolant and the leaking issue was worse. see attached pictures. i was clearly misled and learned this location was backed up with other work and there car work skills are bad.
