Stopped by for an oil change and checkup. The customer service rep, Jay, explained the issues they found, suggested the recommended repairs, and provided estimates for each. I approved most of the work and will come back for the time-consuming repair. As I waited, I noticed Jay was courteous and attentive to every customer. He wasn't selling. Instead, he was careful that the customer understood that he was providing inspection results and recommendations only. No pressure, ever. I came in to get new brake pads, and then I need rotors. Okay, cool. We (the manager) agreed on a price around $ 6/800. I can't remember the exact amount, but when they called to tell me my car was ready, I went to go get my vehicle, and my service total doubled to $1400. The manager was so unprofessional and didn't know what he was doing before I left my car after giving him my keys and left to go get in my ride. He yells at me saying I didn't give him the keys... I handed them to him 10 seconds ago... I had to SHOW HIM WHERE HE PUT THE KEY AFTER I GAVE IT TO HIM. That should've been my indicator right there to have it done elsewhere, but this was the highest-rated location. My son needed an oil change and a new battery put in his car. We purchased the battery from Stacey at Auto Zone Store #7183 on Crain Hwy. She was awesome and so helpful. She told us she could not install the battery but she knew who could. So she sent us to Jiffy Lube Store #1774 also on Crain Hwy and said to ask for Mr. Barry. The entire team was fantastic: Manny, Barry, Herns, and Jerald. Very professional, the waiting area was neat and clean. The price was excellent. The entire process took less than 2hours! I went to Jiffy Lube in Bowie, MD and received poor customer service by the manager. When I drove up, I wanted to see if they could instruct me if I needed an oil change or something wrong with my car. A technician came by pretty quickly to instruct me that it's the Check Engine Light and the manager could come by to scan my car to let me know what's wrong and asked me to park my car. I sat there for about 45min and the manager never came by. I saw him walking back and forth. Another technician came by because he saw me sitting there and said he would come by himself to scan my car but it appeared when he discussed it with the manager, he was getting fussed out for offering to help me. A few minutes later, the manager was instructing another technician to move a car in my line of sight to block my view. I realized the manager was not going to come over and I drove to another Jiffy Lube up the street and I received excellent customer service there in less than 5 minutes. For whatever reason my battery died as soon as I pulled in to get a oil change. The techs came out, asked if everything was okay, the car completely shutdown. They tried to jump it and it wasn't working. The store ended up closing but the manager came out and before my tow truck came and double checked on me. Long story short after I got the vehicle up and running and came back the next day for an oil change and the service was outstanding. The techs were quick easy and efficient. I visit for the top off approx every 3 1/2-4 weeks until my 5,000 miles are up. Went to this location for the first time. The staff was friendly enough. However they were fast and I mean super fast actually too fast. I was out before the lady in front of me was out the door. Supposedly I received a complimentary exterior window wash and vacuum but my seats were in the same position and as you can see on the pics I still have bird poop and dust on my windows. So now of course I am questioning if my oil change was done at all. . I will have someone look at it to make that determination. This place can take you to the cleaners if you are clueless about cars. I'm glad I know a thing or two about cars. I came here as my sticker reminder was over due and my regular dealership was closed. I had to get a synthetic oil change. Its pretty high but ok. Then dude calls me to step outside. Oh shit, here we go with the list of lies that I'm gonna need done. Yep, Im gonna need a new air filter, all these flushes and my tires rotated etc. I declined to all services. I just bought new tires, and replaced my air filter in the summer. I get that its in their job description to try to up-sell services but to tell people things they don't need is wrong. Especially old people. However, the work done on my car was outstanding and employees are nice and friendly despite trying to take me to the cleaners. I appreciate how they will vacuum and wash your windows, some locations do a very poor job at that. read more

And I wasn't asked consulted on anything and was told they did things without my asking. They consulted the men that came in but not the women. I came in on a Friday afternoon around 1:00pm just for an Oil Change. It took 15 minutes, I was suggested to get my transmission fluid flushed and changed. I will never spend a dime here. My sister, who was visiting from out of town, needed an oil change. Not sure how long it would take, I followed her here in case we needed to do a drop off. STRIKE 1: the owner yelled at me for parking in an UNMARKED parking space because it was supposedly only for employees. STRIKE 2: He acted like I was stupid for being there, because it would only take 10 minutes. STRIKE 3: When I moved my car a second time so that I could see the car and know when they were going to be done, he made a huge deal out of the fact that I pulled up close to the door where the cars come out as I was repositioning -- as though he thought I was a crazy person who was going to drive into the building. He clearly felt that I had no business being on his property and he wanted me to feel completely unwelcome. Well, he succeeded. I had the worst experience today at the Jiffy Lube located on 301 Crain Highway at the Gambrills Maryland location. I've been going to this location to have my vehicle lightbulbs replaced for my head lights and my rear lights beginning early part of the summer. While I had my lightbulbs replaced I would ask for my tires pressure to be checked. Then there after I would go to this location whenever I had a light that would blowout and have it replaced and have my tire pressure checked. Today 12/31/15 the last day of the year I decide to go to have my tire pressure checked. I entered the Jiffy Lube and I noticed that my car stayed parked outside of the bay area for several minutes ( me being the only customer). I was instructed to move out of my vehicle and enter into the main waiting area. I noticed that the techs this time did not pull my car into the Bay Area and then all of a sudden someone came into the office and told me that they would not be putting air into my tires or checking the tire pressure due to the fact that my tire steams looked weak. My tires are fairly new Michelin tires and I always take pride in my vehicle! The fact was that this Jiffy Lube did not want to continue to service me because I did not have an oil change performed at their location. At no time previously did anyone inform me that I needed to have an all change in order to receive or have my tires checked previously to have air installed. The manager at this location was rude and unprofessional needless to say they drove my car around and didn't perform any service and made up some bogus excuse in order not to service my vehicle. I immediately contacted the customer service for Jiffy Lube and filed a complaint. To no avail afterword the owner of that particular Jiffy Lube by the name of Mark blizzard contacted me and I explained to him how I was treated and what occurred. Mark Blizzard owner said "Miss G. you were never a customer!" Because you never received an oil change you only had bulbs replaced! I have never been so appalled at someone telling me this ever! He the owner told me that "I was NEVER a customer"! I had my headlight bulbs changed at this location replaced in my vehicle. I would NOT recommend this location to anyone! How dare the owner tell me in his own words that I was never a customer from the beginning! You better bet that I SHALL never become a customer nor will I ever have my oil changed or ever have any service performed. If I spent one dime in that establishment then I consider myself a customer by taking out the time to stop and even spend my money that I spent to have my lightbulbs changed even though I was told by the owner that I was not a customer! I have to keep repeating this statement because I still don't believe I was told this. I recommend that no one EVER attend this particular Jiffy Lube establishment with the mindset of the owner Mark Blizzard! read more

I arrived with my infant son and was immediately greeted by a technician who escorted me to the waiting area. Within 30 minutes the service was completed and I was on my way out. All employees were professional and corteous. They explained service performed and warranty. My vehicle was then placed in front of waiting area so I had easier access to it with my son / stroller. This is the best auto care location I have EVER been to! I have been coming to this Bowie location since July of 2015 and have received nothing but great service. Ernest, Jerimayah, Walt, Ron, Jerome, Josh, Joe (can't remember all the names but definitely know them by face!) always give a great oil change. They assist me on so much knowledge on my car and I appreciate being from a city where a car is not needed at all. They educate me on so much as a car owner and I trust their knowledge and wisdom on car parts/wear and tear and more. Do not go here! They are big time scammers. Went there for a basic oil change. They tried to give me the whole "your filter is dirty and needs to be replaced" routine. While I waited for my oil change (about 40min), they did this to every other customer who came in. Also they gave two other customers huge laundry lists of things that were supposedly wrong with their vehicles, when they just came in for oil changes too. The oil change is supposed to come with a vacuum and window washing. They absolutely did not do this for my car, although the receipt says they did. My car, in fact, came back with leaves in it not there previously. What a joke. Not going back. read more
