The man I met told me he had been working there for his family over 20 years, and it's hard to find a better local resource than this for the price of a small tip and your gas. The station was very accessible and neatly kept right before the heart of downtown Amherst. You can pull in from either direction--just know what side of your car has the gas cap! All in all, I would tell international travelers, locals, students, and people of all ages and walks of life to go here. I'm certain they'll make you feel welcome and answer your questions, even in the bitter cold. Again, for full service gas, the price is low so mind to tip your attendant, 10% is a good amount and fits the current era we live in. The days where a single dollar was a good gas station tip were at least 30 years ago. :)

Then called a place and while their service guys had already left, he did something that shocked me/ He HELPED! It's conveniently located off of the highway and our family kept saying that it was great, the women who work here were overly friendly and helpful! They had just finished cleaning as we pulled in, the bathroom was tidy. They have quite an assortment of snacks and goodies to choose from! I even was able to find an apple! There wasn't a minimum charge for purchasing a snack, which was nice. We were trying to make sure that we were headed up north in the right direction and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We all left very impressed with how friendly and kind everyone was!

I'm 99% sure that this is currently a Shell gas station. The gas station right next to the barbecue…read moreplace. If not, if there is a Sunderland Gulf would the owners please contact me or leave a note. Really awful. Extremely rude, hostile person behind the counter. The pumps are awful, the keypads don't work well so you have to enter your PIN twice, and respond at least twice to all the prompts so you can pump some gas. I went through the whole process with my Stop&Shop and debit card, got to the end and then the pump just cancelled the transaction, for no reason I could tell. Then I had to deal with the jerk inside the station. He got really mad that I came back in to ask for money back because I had debited my card for more gas than I actually bought. This was all new to me, and he was really nasty about it. Anyway, I urge people to go somewhere else. This is a poorly run gas-station with angry, hostile people behind the counter.
