As in drive there. With a perfectly functioning seat. I drop off the car and go wait inside. The place actually has a nice charm and I was pleasantly surprised at the very cheap prices for services. After 15min the car comes out. The 6'+ inspection guy gives me back the keys without a word. I find the seat further back than I thought it could go. Makes sense, he was a tall guy. However, the seat would no longer lock into any position. I asked to have the seat fixed so that it would lock, as it had before. Although I was quite upset I felt like I was met with a cold disregard and generally bad attitude. The mechanic moved the seat to a reasonable position. I thought he had fixed the problem but I could not move the seat and lock it in place (I HAD been able to do this before, quite frequently too). I asked him fix it over again and he did, but not without what a perceived to be some intense sass. On the drive home the seat unlocked and slide back, which was quite unsafe (should my car have really passed that inspection with the seat like that?). I got home and worked on the seat myself. I found the locking mechanism was off the track, I replaced it and lubricated the wires (same mechanism as my bike so I had a good idea of what I was looking at). So, did these guys break my seat or was it already broken? Who knows really. The real problem I had was their reaction. Tall guy should have said SOMETHING about it being broken. Also it was a five minute fix. While I did expect they would fix it, at they very least telling me what was wrong seems to be fair. And most importantly telling me without (as I perceived it) such a terrible attitude.

I only use Sunoco for inspections (my mechanic recommended them) and I've had uniformly good…read moreexperiences.

The man I met told me he had been working there for his family over 20 years, and it's hard to find a better local resource than this for the price of a small tip and your gas. The station was very accessible and neatly kept right before the heart of downtown Amherst. You can pull in from either direction--just know what side of your car has the gas cap! All in all, I would tell international travelers, locals, students, and people of all ages and walks of life to go here. I'm certain they'll make you feel welcome and answer your questions, even in the bitter cold. Again, for full service gas, the price is low so mind to tip your attendant, 10% is a good amount and fits the current era we live in. The days where a single dollar was a good gas station tip were at least 30 years ago. :)

Border in Heath. I raced down here to AMHERST, instead of heading to Keene or Hadley which had tire service places I could have made. I've been calling folks offering my first born male child if they would stay open a little bit after 6., but pleas were not met with the Chivalry I'd hoped... Then called a place and while their service guys had already left, he did something that shocked me/ He HELPED! He went through the places I had been left out in the cold by - once is enough... but the Auto Angel urges me to give him 15-20 minutes and like an unlikely SUPER HERO, vowed to find me a much - MUCH needed place to put on my snow tires, without which it is likely I will not make it up into the hinterlands of Heath...and if I by some miracle, make it, I stand no chance of escaping to any semblance of civilization and basic needs for my two and four legged family. I didn't get his name- but it's going to be Yelped far and wide.. RENS MOBIL and AUTO SERVICE!!!! Hurrah for you!‍

I'll start off by saying that the staff was very nice. I told them it was our first time there and she sat us down, told us to look over the menu and then order at the counter when we were ready. We ended up sharing the breakfast monster crepe and also the eat your greens salad. I can honestly tell you that the eat your greens salad was one of the best salads I've had. its so simple but so delicious and packed full of flavor. The lettuce leaves were extremely fresh, and the dressing was homemade. The crepe was also good, not the best I've had but it was good. Honestly the winer for me was that salad. We also ordered some hot drinks and I was surprised to find that they have organic coffee, really good. and their honey is legit, not the fake stuff. I know some of the other reviews were complaining about the pricing on things but its obviously better quality as well. You can taste it for sure. I will say that the one thing I didn't like was the fact that the tables/chairs are so close together. We were sandwiched in between two families with children and it was really hard to relax. We had to listen to one family complain about not having gotten their crepe yet even though everyone else had gotten their food. I felt that if I even inched either to my right or left I would hit the person sitting on the other end. They need to configure the seating better. Otherwise, it's a great place, I'd definitely come back and maybe sit at a counter or a booth if I'm lucky.
