    Leaking transmission
    Musa A.

Horrible service! I came to this dealership for oil change and ask them to fix a leakage in transmission. In fact they didn't fix anything and my car was just standing at the dealership for 17 days ! The worst dealership ever! Moreover they just forgot about me and kept my beautiful Lincoln Navigator for no reason until I called and argued with them! So after so many days I found my car covered with birds shit in dirtiest condition ever! So I needed to go polishing my car and thoroughly cleaned after these guys! Escape this dealership!

    2025 Ford raptor

Sunnyvale Ford I had one of the worst dealership experiences I've ever had at Sunnyvale Ford while attempting to purchase a Ford Raptor (Stock #S0652). I initially found the truck on Facebook Marketplace through their salesperson, Fernando, and then worked directly with their General Sales Manager, Mark. I made it very clear from the beginning that I am in the business and was ready to purchase at invoice pricing. I was also transparent that I was considering a Hennessey Ford truck at Ken Grody Ford, where I had already been offered 5.99% APR for 72 months through Ford Financial by buying down the rate. We agreed to very specific terms: * $2,700 under MSRP * $895 GAP * 5.99% APR for 72 months I authorized Mark to run my credit through Ford Financial ONLY. Instead, he ran my credit multiple times without my consent, claiming he was searching for a better rate. I now have multiple hard inquiries on my credit report. He eventually secured 5.99% through Bank of America instead of Ford Financial -- clearly to avoid buying down the rate as discussed. This was not what we agreed to, but because my credit had already been hit multiple times, I tried to move forward anyway. It gets worse. I clearly stated I would be the primary signer and my sister-in-law would be secondary. Mark approved an arrangement where my family would go in to complete her portion and then send me the contract to sign and notarize. My brother and sister-in-law drove FIVE HOURS to the dealership. When they got to Finance, we discovered my sister-in-law had been listed as the PRIMARY signer and the vehicle was registered to her address -- without my authorization or knowledge. This was a complete restructuring of the deal. Finance claimed this was the only way Bank of America would approve the loan. When I asked to go back to Ford Financial with me as primary, the rate magically jumped to 6.69%. I asked them to honor the original agreement and buy the rate down to 5.99% as promised. They refused. My family drove ten hours round-trip for nothing. No accountability. No effort to fix it. Just careless, unprofessional handling from management. The GM of the store Jim Popal did nothing to remedy the situation didn't even reply to my email complaint. If you value your time, your credit, and clear communication, I would strongly recommend shopping elsewhere.

another update for the service department only-- i would say in the entire year of 2024 their customer service has improved tremendously!!! like any sane person, i would prefer to not have any car troubles at all... but if i do have any run ins and i stop by the shop, please keep up the momentum of having personable service!!! it goes a long way for sure

I have bought a vehicle from this dealership last week , I would not recommend coming here , I came in to trade in my vehicle for another vehicle and there were completely rude. The salesmen did not tell me anything about the car and when I tried to purchase the vehicle, they tried to charge an extra 5 thousand dollars for a warranty that I didn't even need To also add they sold me a lard with a broken key fob that they promised that they would change soon and I bought the vehicle which was a LIE. On top of that they have no respect for Veterans that served in the military, they will lie to you just to make a sale DO NOT COME HERREE !!! SAVE YOUR MONEY !!

I had a great experience with Sunnyvale Ford for my car service. I wanted to give them a glowing review, but then I got this emailing from SirusXM about getting service. Sunnyvale Ford gave away my private information and now I'm being solicited by other businesses. This is an invasion of privacy in my opinion and is really not acceptable. I did not opt in to this and I don't understand why I need to be subjected to solicitation just because I got a tire rotation.

The salesman listed a car that wasn't onsite. This was never mentioned. I came down from berkeley via public transit, a 3 hour journey, and was told by the salesman that the car was bought at auction. Car had 4 bald tires and they said they may only replace the front. Car needed new brake pads, and had damage to all exterior panels and much of the interior. The price I was told is non negotiable because the service department is not the same department as sales so sales must pay 350 an hour to their service team for any labor. As I prepared to leave the sales manager came out to try to sweet talk. I explained what I was told regarding labor cost and he said that was not true and asked who said it, with the salesman standing next to him. I made it clear they should wish themselves the best of luck lying to their customers. NEVER buy from this company!!! BELIEVE ALL THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS!!!

I gotta say - this was a pretty seamless and straight-forward experience - something which is unusual and rare when buying a used car. Here's what really stood out to me from start to finish: - Greg was quick to respond to my initial text - We arranged a time to meet at his lot and when I showed up 10 minutes early, he was already there. Thanks for being early and not making me wait around on my lunch break. Appreciate you for that big time. - When it came time to deal, we had some negotiation, but it was not high pressure. He was informative and knew the vehicle and showed me how some of the storage and seats flipped up for loading. Very professional, good attitude. - We agreed on a price and sat down to sign paperwork. Wow, this is probably the fastest and easiest car buying paperwork I've ever filled out. He was very organized and presented the paperwork thoroughly and really didn't waste any time. The paperwork exercise literally took 15 minutes total, although he didn't seem rushed, just organized. What a time saver! Sometimes you don't realize how valuable your time is until someone works efficiently like this and it takes much less time than you expected. -I've had the car for a day now and there have been no surprises. I knew a bit about this model car before the purchase and it has lived up to my expectation. The car drives great and is in EXCELLENT condition for being a 100k mile car. It's just what I was looking for and I'm glad we could do a deal. It was very nice to meet you and a big thanks for making everything so smooth and easy!

For a…read morebusiness that is geared towards "helping out" young professionals and students (people who are often new to car rentals, car ownership, and car insurance), I'm surprised at the consequences I faced for this lease. I'm deeply disappointed in this experience: one that was marketed as low-frills and economical and how Mohamad was polite and reasonable until the time for the car return came. I understand the pressure of our current economy, but cannot condone taking advantage and emotionally manipulating the exact group of customers that would vulnerable to this. The cars at Smartlease are old and delicate and any minor scuffs or scratches that inevitably happen during your lease are not considered "normal wear and tear." If you are looking to rent from Smartlease, you'd hope you can keep the condition of the car 100% perfect or you would have to pay thousands of dollars in damages out-of-pocket (that amount to over 25% of the rental car's value) or pay deductibles through your insurance which significantly increases your premium for years. In my case, I got trapped in Clause 19 of the lease agreement: "If you have not had the repairs made before the Vehicle is returned at the scheduled end of this lease, you will pay the estimated costs of such repairs, even if the repairs are not made prior to Holder's sale of the Vehicle." I had returned the car already, so Mohamad proxied for me at an auto shop (he told me last minute that there were repairs to be made). He gave me the quote that the auto shop deemed, a quote that was much higher than if I had looked to repair these myself (especially since for some damages, I wouldn't have repaired if it were my own car). Then when I asked for a receipt from the auto shop to make sure my money was actually going towards repairing the car, he sent me Clause 19, making clear that it wouldn't be. Instead, the money would be pocketed by Smartlease. This money is equivalent to the price to rent this particular car for 5 more months, nearly as long as I had the car for. As a student, it was difficult for me to find the funds to pay for the upcharged cost and it caused me a great deal of worry. I felt absolutely exploited. In the final communications with him about the repairs, he gaslighted me and would often say that he's been in this industry for a long time, so these processes are industry standard. He used his position of power, knowing I am a student and have little experience, though I can research and have parents and friends who have more experience with cars to validate his claims. When I asked if I could go to the auto shop with him, so we could speak in person and I could be part of the conversation with the auto shop, he called my request weird and unheard of. He said that it's difficult for a first-timer to speak to an auto shop, implying that I don't know how to speak to an auto shop, then threatened that if I wanted to meet him at the auto shop, he doesn't want to come; instead, I would have to handle all of this by myself. But at that time, I was flying home in a week since school had ended and I still needed a proxy. Ultimately, he did not speak to me kindly. The amount of money I have spent for this lease in total could have bought a used car of similar value to the car I had rented. But if I had chosen to buy a used car, I could have resold it.  If you still want to make a short term car lease, I would strongly recommend to avoid Smartlease and the financial, emotional, and temporal cost and search somewhere else.

But, in a market where cars are in high demand, supply is drastically low, and are selling for $10k+ over MSRP... thats as good as it gets. We were referred to Arkady through a friend. Hubby has a long history in retail sales, so the car buying experience has always been... eventful, as everyone knows. But now with 2 toddlers in tow, we weren't able to dedicate the months-long research, wheeling and dealing, and multiple dealership trips all over the Bay Area to get what we wanted. So we decided to give Arkady a try. We told Arkady what we wanted. SPECIFICALLY what we wanted. Down to the T. A brand new Platinum Highlander Hybrid in Pearly White. A special order color, in a very sought after trim level and combination. Arkady looked and found us a few, but we weren't ready yet. So we waited. And the aftermath of COVID was in full affect. The dreaded chip shortage. Dealer lots were empty, cars were being bought up like no other, and the market is now flooded with buyers willing to pay top dollar from a supply pool that would disappear with a sneeze. Unfortunately for us, we just couldn't afford to battle with ballers, so we waited, hoping Arkady could find us a deal. Luckily, Arkady was able to place us an order with the Toyota Factory for our specific car, in our specific trim. We waited a few weeks, putting our trust in Arkady, and we finally got the call. The vehicle had landed and was ready for us. Everything we wanted, as we had requested. Even in this market, he was able to get us below the MSRP, which is absolutely mind blowing. He promised, and delivered in spades. His cost of service is worth its weight in gold. The process was painless. He was prompt with his communication and was always straight forward. On delivery day, we met at his office and spent no more than 15 minutes doing paperwork.... to buy a car... that was tailor made to our specification.... at a deal we were more than happy with... We cannot emphasize at how valuable his services were to us, and our family thanks him greatly. Remember the kids? They didn't even have time to even THINK about throwing a tantrum before they were buckled up in the new car and we were on our way. Arkady runs a no-joke, no-frills, get-it-done business. He saved us a lot of time, stress, and yes, money during the car buying process, and has a customer for life. Thank you, Arkady, for all that you've done!

It seems like it can be good in the right circumstance, but it's worth being a bit careful about it. A friend highly recommended the advisor, saying that they'd saved her a lot of money on her car lease and made the process easy for her. I called and talked for over an hour to the advisor. They were knowledgable and friendly - great customer service. I figured that I may be able to save a little money by looking for a deal myself, but that I wanted to save the time and hassle, so the cost would be worth it. Also, I liked the idea that Cartelligent had access to better deals than I would by purchasing at volume from fleet managers. My plan was to lightly get offer prices myself, compare them to the price Cartelligent got, and then hopefully having validated that they were beating my price sufficiently, I could use them forever and rest assured that it was a worthwhile deal. I reached out to a few dealerships and got opening offers. I was shocked when my Cartelligent advisor came back with an initial price that was worse than three of the five dealerships I'd reached out to, and that was before their $600 fee. When I explained this, they responded a little defensively and asked for proof I had better deals. When I provided it, they came back the next day with an offer $50 a month cheaper than the one they first sent me - a cost difference of $1,800 over the course of the lease! Thank goodness I'd looked on my own and not taken their word for it. The experience shook my faith a bit, so I decided to negotiate with the other dealerships myself and compare. Once I got a bit further into the process, I gave Cartelligent the ability to win my business if they could get to a specific number by dropping their quote a little further. They were unable to do so, so I kept negotiations up elsewhere. Specifically, when I asked if they could get to that number, the whole email they wrote back was "That's awesome. That's a great deal" and that was the last I ever heard from them. With a little bit of work, I ultimately was able to secure a lower price than Cartelligent had before taking their $600 fee into account. Using Cartelligent would have cost me many hundreds of dollars more than negotiating on my own over the course of my lease. At the same time, I was trying to sell my car through them. I did their thorough online process, taking pictures and filling out the form. After it was clear I was going to negotiate a bit and not just take their first price, I stopped hearing about the sale process from the advisor. After the "That's awesome" email, I never heard back from them again, even after asking for updates on the sales process over email. They ultimately never gave me a quote on my car. I think they got mad at me and ghosted me, which I found surprising and unprofessional. It's possible I was able to get an unusually good deal because the EV market is weak right now. The second quote - the one $50 lower - was reasonable, and it did take me a little work to beat it. However, it was clear to me that you should always do your own due diligence and get quotes to check the ones they give you. If you do that, ultimately, you aren't really saving yourself that much work, so I'm not sure the $600 fee is worth it. Edit: David reached out, and we talked about my experience. He sounded as surprised as I was by my experience, and he's looking into it. I was impressed that he would follow up!

He's the consummate professional, excellent work ethic, and absolutely knowledgeable and competent. Eran is so awesome and accommodating. He seems ready and eager to work for & with you, and he made himself available as best he could with me. Even though it's clear from his website the area range he covers, and that he's open to go even further (for, in my opinion a small additional charge), he went extra far for me; and furthermore he's always ready seemingly at a moments notice (which won't always be the case, of course, but shows that as long as he's available, he'll jump to work with you [reflective of how awesome service & work ethic he has])! The extra (again, for an small [IMO] additional charge) he was wonderful in considering for me was even as far as a used car dealership in Roseville! Just FYI, for him Gilroy is too far (haha, had to try, because he's awesome and I was desperate for the car, so for him to). And he works hard to make it that his customers don't have to do anything additional, and that he'll take care of it all -- he doesn't expect you to meet him there (although you have the option; he offered/was-open for me to be there to do it with him, but since the dealerships were like 40+ miles out, I opted not to), or to meet with him beforehand, or even afterward; you can correspond and coordinate just text and/or phone. If anything, you just might have to call the dealership and give them a heads up (telling them the time and Eran's name & business). He goes out, takes the car for about an hour, and checks everything. But beyond that (and what I mean about excellent work ethic and consummate professional) is that he documents it all (photos on top of his notes), and he goes in, around, and even under the car and looks at all the nook and cranny of all the car parts & aspects. He took plenty of photos of anything remarkable of the car (dents, paint deterioration, oil/grease stains [underhood of the car], interior issues, etc.). He has a whole form with a checklist that checks ranging from fluids to condition of belts to lights working to hoses to condition of the tires & brakes and the rest; even takes note if there's a spare tire & wheel jack. Of course he hooks up his OBD tool to check for any codes. Then he sends you the report with all of his findings, gives you a call to talk it all over and he gives his impression, then you send payment -- he's really cool about payment and states "however you want to pay"; Paypal, Venmo, Zelle, Apple Pay, Cash, Check, whatever. He gave me the impression that I wanted him to be my own mechanic; so I even asked him. And it's a credit to him to have replied that, to keep professionalism and can't claim exploitation, he doesn't do both (PPI and mechanic). He is on the high end of what you might estim8 ($180; more if you send him outside his normal area/range [I don't believe more than $200]), but I was happy to spend that on him. I'm a novice with cars (general knowledge enough, but not enough to be able to identify whether car parts are in good order and/or would last or not), so I wasn't confident in my ability to buy my first used car. I used him twice (would have been three times, but Gilroy was too far away). In the end, the used car I got has worked great for the last 6 months. And he saved me from buying an amazing car (high end Hyundai; $3k) but in such under-the-hood horrible shape that it would've been 3x the cost of the price just to repair everything -- which is proven when I saw the listing remain for 2 whole months and priced reduced twice down to I believe $2800! After it all, I brought my used car to 2 mechanics after him, and they confirmed 4 out of the 6 concerns he had -- which, granted, it's not like Eran has a car lift and a whole lot of time to thoroughly check as much as a mechanic with a garage would. He mistook cosmetic blemishes on the serpentine belt and the brakes as old age and maybe needing to be replaced -- which didn't end up being the case. But he did get the transmission deficiencies, signs on a certain valve gasket, parking brake, and other aspects right on the mark. I can't say good enough things about him! I was only able to feel confident enough to buy the really old used car that was in my budget because of him. And it's been nothing but a success! 6 months later, after taking care of the issues and potential concerns Eran noted, the car has not given any problems (that could have been foreseen; it still is a really old car so some things are bound to have come up organically) -- proving how much Eran and SafeBuy is really stellar and impeccable! If you're not the best with cars, you can absolutely trust Eran and SafeBuy; as much as you can trust his willingness, commitment, integrity, experience.

Eran's the man! I've had some shady car buying experiences in the past but Eran was able to take a…read morelook at a car on short notice and gave it a thorough inspection that made me feel confident in buying the car. He was super straightforward about what the car needed and what service could wait and I was able to drive off in a new whip and peace of mind.
