I recently purchased 2.6 gallons of propane and was charged a $4.95 Hazardous Materials Charge. When asked the cashier responded, "this company charges a flat rate standard charge for propane refills". I have been a customer of Western Propane Services for many years. They never charged a Hazardous Materials charge for propane refills. To be clear, I didn't dispose of anything. I brought in my 20 gallon tank for a refill. I highly recommend going elsewhere as this makes the price of propane much higher than it should be. I paid $16.69 for 2.6 gallons of propane. Approximately $6.42 per gallon with their BS fee added. They are also closed on the weekends now. Go elsewhere. U-haul at 7422 Garden Grove Blvd is 1 minute away. They do not charge a Hazardous Materials fee and are competitively priced.

She started talking over me and elevating her voice and giving snide comments. She also hung up on me, called back, and scoffed over the phone again. Two days before my reservation, UHaul changed the location of my cargo van pickup without my consent. The location my rental was changed to was completely out of the way from my move, so I requested my rental be moved to this Placentia location. When I arrived on Saturday (07/25/26), UHaul's systems were down so they checked us out manually. The representative did not mention anything about procedures or requirements from me as the renter. They simply handed me the keys and sent me on my way. Upon returning the vehicle, I received an unauthorized and unexplained charge on my card for fuel. As mentioned, the representative I worked with explained nothing during pickup so I was unaware I had to refuel the vehicle. I also was never given a contract that I could review until AFTER I returned the vehicle. I contacted the general manager, Gary Urrelo, and received no response. I then contacted UHaul's customer service line who told me that Gary Urrelo would be emailing me. He emailed me the next day stating that it is "standard practice" for the representatives to explain the fuel policy and that I would not be receiving a refund. I responded to Gary requesting that he check the stores cameras to verify that I was not told anything during the rental pickup. After I pointed out this fact, Gary Urrelo has refused to take ownership of his employee's gross negligence and refund me the money I am due. I have spent countless hours attempting to get UHaul to right this wrong and they refuse to provide the most basic level of customer service possible. If you need to rent a van or a truck, please don't waste your time with UHaul. Moving is stressful enough as it is. It's not worth it to deal with a company who couldn't care less about customer satisfaction. I wish I had gone with Home Depot, Budget, or Enterprise for my cargo van rental instead of UHaul.

Overheard them really not working with some of the people in the store when they were trying to come up with options for rentals. However, the biggest joke of this all was they were completely slammed. When we got the truck back, they told us just to go ahead and leave the keys. No need to complete the final inspection. Unfortunately through days and days of moving, we left our dolly in the truck and moving straps. The solution in the store came up with was to take our nice dolly and not hold it for us, but rather put it under a tent and allow people to steal it. Along with their moving straps, it was all taken. We have a few other small items like sandbags and things like that in the truck. We had to go dig those out of the trash. Just a complete disregard for people's property and a simple phone call could've alleviated this whole mess. The shear fact that they just let it be taken. It's just unbelievable . We'll take ownership for leaving the dolly, but the lack of anyone giving it to him about somebody else's obvious mistake has just unconscionable. I find a different place to go rent from. This location won't be getting any of my business and reading other one star reviews. It looks like we aren't the only one that fell for their promise of great service and complete lack of follow through. The kick of it was we even turn the dolly back in because we didn't want anyone to think that we were taking it right from the start because it wasn't hooked up properly in the truck. We did this business as solid in the end, their lack of customer support and concern screwed us I don't often write one star review, but this place deserves less than that and one star is as low as I can go.

We just installed a generator and most propane companies in the area would not deliver propane for…read morea generator. They are just too busy to deal with generators that don't use much fuel. A few would sell us the tanks but not lease us the tanks. Suburban not only leased us the tanks and delivered them the day they said, they were really helpful. They gave us good advice on the placement of the tanks, which was amazingly not provided by the generator company. The service guy for Suburban was Matthew Blanton, who could not have been more helpful. When the generator people came for the actual hookup, they forgot to bring a regulator. Matthew rushed one over for us, even though he did not need to do so. He hooked it up so we were ready to go. I can't say whether all the service guys with Suburban are as great as Matthew, but we were very happy with the service that Matthew provided. I cannot answer to the cost of Suburban as compared to other propane companies, but since we did not have a choice, we were happy that Suburban handled our propane needs for us.

The competition price is $1.85. We had a 499 gallon tank and they delivered once a month. This is not the type of company we want to do business with. They over charge as long as they can get away with it and the manager Chris Siplivy was not professional at all.
