Needless to say, you know good food can be found here. This place is famous for their fish soup rice or noodle, with fish that is freshly caught and fried or stewed as you like. The oyster soup rice is a similar dish, with small but plump oysters that kind of melt in your mouth when you bite into them. We also ordered the Hainan chicken rice. The chicken is very tender. The rice looks totally white, I suspect they didn't stir fried it with chicken oil and spices first, but it does have the fragrant you expected from the dish. Usually for this dish it comes with a soup, normally a bland or salty broth with a few limpid leaves. Here they have so much baby bok choy in it we almost thought they brought a dish we didn't order! The laksa noodle can use a stronger broth, but the seafood is fresh and plentiful. We also ordered the pork neck meat and chicken wings as appetizer. We didn't like the wings, it was just fried without much seasoning. The pork, on the other hand, has a flavorful caramelized crust and I'd highly recommend.

This restaurant is a refreshing change from the usual fare offered by others in the area. Although…read morepork and chicken dishes are available it's more seafood centric. They used to offer a Hainan chicken dish which was fairly good but it's since been taken off the menu. My favorite is the fish with rice vegetable soup.

Café 360 is an Americanized Western café that serves fusion-type dishes. Located in Dragon Centre…read morein Sham Shui Po, Café 360's menu and food offerings certainly draw in a crowd. I would say that the interior (and cute exterior) is very typical to what you'd see in the hip, trendy LA Asian American cafés - pretty quotes on the wall, cute decorations, dim lighting. This is definitely a good date place - and you can roam the mall after! I came with my family during their afternoon teatime, thinking that there would be some specials offered around 2 PM. I think they had a lunchtime special, so even at 2 PM, the restaurant was packed with customers and guests waiting for a seat. After you're seated at a table, you have to go to the front counter to order your food. You're given a number, and when the food is ready the waiter/waitress will serve the food to your table. Since it's Hong Kong and you can split dishes without anybody really caring, we decided to order fewer items to be shared amongst ourselves and eat elsewhere if we were still hungry. Porcini rice with pork and kimchi in stone pot: $46 HKD and with an additional $12 HKD, we were able to add on a puff pastry soup. I have to say that the rice was really good. Very similar to the Chinese sausage in a stone pot, except this rice had flavoring and ingredients to it. Along with the pork belly and kimchi - flavoring of everything was on point, and it definitely filled us up. Cream of mushroom puff pastry soup: When the waitress brought our soup to us, one of them was slightly burnt, and without us even commenting, she said that she was going to ask the chef to remake a new one for us. I don't think we would have really minded, but that was really nice of her. The soup is definitely something you must try! Rich flavoring of mushroom in a creamy broth. The puff pastry was light and flaky, with really good flavor. As you break into the puff pastry, some of it drops into the soup so you get a crispy texture as you drink the creamy soup. I really liked it. Spaghetti Bolognese with puff pastry soup: This set lunch combination was $56 HKD or roughly $8 USD. I thought it was fairly priced, since it came with the puff pastry soup. The spaghetti wasn't too unique. Tasted very similar to how my mom cooks her spaghetti, except it was slightly sweeter. I probably wouldn't recommend ordering this dish if you're looking for something unique or different to try. Hot tea and hot milk tea - nothing special. The hot milk tea was pretty strong, but not as smooth as some of the other places I've tried. tl;dr - Overall, a really cute place to go for lunch or brunch. They also serve waffles and breakfast items. I really like the interior design of the place. The workers are super nice and friendly. Highly recommend if you're looking for a nice place for brunch!

They serve surprisingly good western food choice ! On the night that I went, the salmon steam tomato omelette rice ( omrice) was on special meaning it came with free drink and soup (!) Personally I think it is good value for the quality of food and the ambiance you'd get. Komune is a delicious little restaurant just outside of downtown Hong Kong. I was staying in LKF…read moreand it took about 30 minutes by Uber to get there. The restaurant is modern and so is the food. It is a fusion of Asian and other influences including South American and European. Kommune has a nice menu of cocktails and I recommend trying them. My favorite hands down was the Chinese Ink. This cocktail was a delicious as it was beautiful, the mix of berries and fruit along with nicely mixed alcohol made this far too easy to drink. We all shared dinner and it started with Buffalo Cauliflower, flash fried and tossed in spicy buffalo sauce, these were spicy and delicious. The kale salad came next and was a delicious mix of kale, brussels sprouts and quinoa. Next came the ribs. IPA BBQ baby back ribs. Now, I'm American and we like our ribs and I have to say, these wouldn't pass muster in an American rib joint or even a chain restaurant but they were good enough. Honestly, I didn't expect them to be fall off the bone, 12 hour smoked ribs. Next was the Salmon and it was perfectly cooked and very tasty. Finally, the herb roasted chicken. Chicken is such a staple and is generally either good or just average, but not here. The herb roasted chicken was the standout of the meal we ate. The vibe is funky, cool and the place was very full while I was there. I will say, if you are tall watch your head walking around or you'll find the lights with the top of your head. Service is good but not super fast, you wait a long time between courses and drinks for someone to get back to you and for that reason I'm taking away a star, it was slow enough that I was constantly aware of the lack of service. This is a very good place to eat and I'd definitely go again, it wasn't exactly what I expected to find in Hong Kong but I'm glad I did.

My review is based on the following: Food: 3 stars View: 5 stars Convenience and variety: 4 stars Recommendations: Bombay fish curry They have a wide variety of offerings. There is a table service restaurant, coffee bar with salads and quick bites, pasta bar, meat carving station, Indian, and pan Asian food. I typically will take a look around and end up ordering something from the Indian stand. Both the chicken tikka and Bombay fish curry are good. The portions are quite generous so you will definitely not be hungry afterwards. You have a choice of either rice or naan. The naan isn't the best and I would recommend going with the rice. I have had the meat carving station a few times and don't find it to be very good. It looks better than it tastes similarly to when you go to the carving station at the buffet. The view here is really awesome. You get a panoramic view of the Victoria harbor and the neighboring mountains. Definitely would recommend to come by for a quick meal and to enjoy the view.

You sat across from me at the family style table because at lunch time, though the seating is ample, the place is an absolute zoo. Maybe people come for the beautiful views that you get from the 37th floor, or maybe it's just super convenient if you work in One Island East. I know I go for the same reasons. I saw you looking at my sandwich. That's OK, it was a really nice sandwich of surprisingly flavorful pate with lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise, all between a pleasantly squishy demi-baguette ($55). Were you surprised as I was to find such a bold sandwich combination at a rather sterile looking place such as Public? That's OK, I am always pleasantly surprised by the somewhat unconventional menu at Public. Yesterday I had the corned beef and emmental mini-baguette ($30) which was surprisingly filling despite its small stature. I'm afraid the mushroom soup was still pretty weak. You were eating the pick-three salad combo ($55), which is my favorite thing at Public. Today it was fresh heirloom cherry tomatoes, roasted veg, and penne with peas and pesto. It was lovely.. I hope you'll agree with me in thinking that Public is one of the best places to lunch in the area. Signed, Chris H

During my visit to HK me and my friend from college who happened to also be in the city made plans to catch up, and what better way then afternoon tea? We browsed a multitude of places including the Peninsula and the Ritz-Carlton, but while those places looked nice we weren't exactly enthused to start shelling out close to $100 to catch up. Indicolite was what we settled on, and honestly I don't regret it! When we went on a Saturday afternoon, there were only a few other people. Bad for business but great for us! We picked a quiet area by the window. I will admit the options on the preset tea menu aren't extravagant, but they are fairly good, plus you could always order additional items on their extensive menu. I prefer this option where you can get an affordable basic tea set. The tea set was delicious with its sweet and savory options, and the tea was quite tasty as well! The service was done well, attentive but far from intrusive. The honor is especially kind and took the time to take pics of me and my friend, despite me asking to take them several times over (photographer's are your worst critic XD). I will definitely recommend Indicolite to all those looking for afternoon tea without the expensive pricetag.
