Good food. Friendly staff. Seemed like a small town cafe with home cooked Mexican food. It's a great hidden treasure.

Fast service, I would recommend their huge burritos or the nachos. Large menu and great prices.

When we arrived and realized the restaurant was attached to a gas station, I told my husband we should go elsewhere.

We were seated promptly and the place was almost full for Saturday dinner. After a short wait, they brought us table waters and left a large bottle of water for refills. I was a little disappointed that they didn't get us started with chips and salsa as is typical for most Mexican restaurants. They have a nice liquor selection and an expanded page of a variety of Tequilas and specialty margaritas. The menu is limited to only one page but focuses on a nice variety of appetizers, Tacos and meals. For starters, we ordered the Chips and pico de gallo. The pico was very fresh and tasty and came with a generous portion of tortilla chips. For dinner, we ordered 3 tacos each - Manolos Bam Bam chicken tacos, Milwalke taco, Shrimp cilantro tacos, and the Quasi birria taco. When they arrived they seemed pretty small but our eyes were bigger than our stomach. Each soft corn tortilla taco was loaded with the selected meat and accompanied toppings. Each one was very delicious with generous amounts of chicken, shrimp, and steak with just the right amount of spice. After 3 of them I was stuffed! For dessert, we tried the stuffed Churros which were lightly coated with cinnamon and came with 2 dipping sauces of chocolate and creamy donut glaze. So good! Overall, we had a great experience at Contento.Nice atmosphere for lunch or dinner. The Lucha Libre pictures and wall paper in the men's bathroom were very cool!

Found out tables were only available via reservation which I thought was a bit odd for a Mexican restaurant but we were offered a seat at the bar so we jumped on that. Inside the decor was festive with a number of Frida pictures and great wallpaper in the restroom. We ordered guacamole and tacos. The guacamole came out quickly and was tasty, with a slightly sweet twist due to the pomegranate seeds and chips just as I like them. I ordered the milwalke and manolos bam bam tacos. I preferred the bam bam because it was filled a bit more but I didn't love the mayo based sauce on either. I would've preferred that on the side or, even better, an offering of salsa instead. I would've loved to review their salsa but only heard about it as I was finished up and it was offered to the couple sitting next to us at the bar. I was excited to try here but there were a few misses during our visit so we'll head to other local restaurants when we're in the area for a more satisfying meal next time.

What I love about this place is that the menu is constantly changing. Each day may bring something new, so come prepared for an adventure. Came a little before noon with a friend. It's a small place, with a few small tables and a couple larger ones for groups or seating strangers together. Lots of nice light coming through the large windows. Got seated right away with a couple waters (with lemon). And Joe (one of the owners), helped us settle and took our orders. The two entrees today were Blacked Mahi-mahi Tostada and Wagyu Beef and Summer Vegetable Bolognese. These both did not take long to come out. Both the perfect temperatures and excellent flavors. So good that you want to take your time and savior the complexity of all the flavors and textures. It's a gourmet experience in a casual environment. They sometimes run out of items, so get their early if you want to be sure to your first choice.

I'm not certain, I think this was all over an older hothead female bartender/waitress trying to keep tip money away from other waitresses, but I don't really know. There was an older female waitress/bartender in a bright pink shirt who right away got upset because our whole party wasn't there at the same time when she came and took our drink order, she then weirdly barked at us that we couldn't spilt our orders... she was apparently having a bad day we could all tell! We stopped here for drinks and food after a wedding down the road on an early sat afternoon. A couple minutes later another different waitress came to our table who was visibly was uncomfortable by telling us that we would have to order at the bar now(?). Seemed confusing and weird but was not a big deal to us - we're out celebrating. Others in our party then also sat at another table next to us and were served by another waitress without issue. Several min later some of us we were interested in ordering food, but weren't sure how, pink shirt lady who barked we all had to be on same tab and also wouldn't/didn't come back to our table to take our order... Several people in our group tried to understand and work this out unsuccessfully over several interactions at the bar, and then including by having them trying to talk to another different bar tender who couldn't understand what old pink shirt lady had done and was doing either, and I can only imagine he hates having to work with her! I then also tried to talk to the other male bar tender who then claimed his name was Chris and he was the manager, and then told me no that I couldn't follow up with anyone else later. We then chose to leave (2:30pm), but not before the older lady in the pink shirt came to try to argue with me further, wow a crazy bad experience!
