Great family restaurant! The drinks are huge and yummy! My husband enjoyed his seafood enchiladas, I liked my shrimp tacos and my toddlers loved their... French fries and chips. Service was good and accommodating to the kids. Bright and colorful with fun music playing!

A great location for a Mexican restaurant in downtown Delafield, I had no idea it was even there. The inside is decorated like your classic Mexican restaurant and for a Saturday it wasnt that busy. We were seated right away by the friendly staff, though when we tried to order drinks, I think our waiter only spoke Spanish. Great for authenticity, but challenging for us visitors. I ordered the chicken flautas, one of my favorites. They were good and covered in cheese, even better, the side of rice was average. We would definitely stop in again, I'll have to brush up on some Spanish.

Tucked away on a corner in downtown Delafield this restaurant is a true gem. I have been here a number of times, but have yet to review it. I will take pictures of the interior and exterior on my next visit and add to my review! This restaurant will not jump out at you, but I highly encourage you to park that car and go in! I have yet to be disappointed. I would say I have been here about 8 times. The interior is decorated in full on Mexican vibes. The best kept secret is the festive outdoor bar and eating area. Behind the building and nearly invisible from the street are outdoor picnic tables and a full bar with TV's! This is a lake country gem! On this visit we had house margaritas that have never disappointed (large of course). Our final round we did upgrade to Patron margs and wow - I will never go back to house. They also have many different flavors, but I am a true believer in simple is better. I ordered Mexican Tacos on corn tortillas, the meat had good flavor and was not dry. I often find the steak to be dry at other locations and these were delicious. My son and brother-in-law ordered the burrito loco which they both ranted and raved about. I am likely to try this on my next visit after hearing how good it is. My sister ordered chicken nachos and this is where we lost our 5 star review :( She was served a plate of chips, chicken, and cheese for the hefty price of $11.50. There were no other toppings on these nachos. Even with the missing toppings (yes, we asked and were told "That's what you ordered") she said they were good. Be prepared to face a thick accent, but overall good service. Enjoy!

I work in downtown Delafield and use to come to Mazatlan often but it has been a few years. Their outside dining area is colorful with plenty of tables. A big plus for also being dog friendly! Their menu is large and full of variety. Chips and salsa are served complimentary, pretty standard but I was happy to munch on them. I got the lunch Steak La Villa ($9.99) and it was a very filling portion. It was covered in cheese which I loved but the steak was very chewy and tough. My friend got the lunch special which you can pick two items from a list. They asked for an egg quesadilla instead of chicken/ground beef. We then noticed we were charged $2 extra for the substitution which I understand but seemed a bit silly since it was egg. I also asked for their spiciest hot sauce but also got charged an extra $1 for it. Hot sauce should come with your meal at a mexican restaurant? I think the server should have been more transparent with their extra charges. Overall, I had an OK experience but remembered why it has been a few years since returning back to this establishment.

We had a hankering for Mexican food on a sunny Saturday afternoon. This place came highly recommended so I thought we'd try it. I had the macho burrito which was very flavorful and delicious (see photo). Plenty of salsa and chips, and their margaritas are out of this world. Beautifully decorated and they even have a deck in back with full bar. Must try if you're in the area!

    Mazatlan steals from customers
    P B.

This place is run by thieves. When you run people's cards for additional, UNAUTHORIZED tips beyond what your (formerly loyal) customers initially sign and pay for, that is literally stealing. * Simply put: Mazatlan in Delafield steals from their customers. * "Management" couldn't care less, offers ZERO help or even reacts or gives a crap in the slightest. You get the feeling that this has happened before. On top of that, Mazatlan isn't even close to better than your typical, run-of-the-mill ultra-Americanized Mexican joint. Want 100 menu options with weak fillings, dry tortillas and crappy service? Look no further! Ultimately, if there isn't a Taco Bell nearby (there is), and you absolutely NEED some semblance of "Mexican" food and find yourself here, BE SURE TO PAY IN CASH. We will never, EVER give these crooks our business again.

    Special burrito dinner! Delicious

We were seated promptly and the place was almost full for Saturday dinner. After a short wait, they brought us table waters and left a large bottle of water for refills. I was a little disappointed that they didn't get us started with chips and salsa as is typical for most Mexican restaurants. They have a nice liquor selection and an expanded page of a variety of Tequilas and specialty margaritas. The menu is limited to only one page but focuses on a nice variety of appetizers, Tacos and meals. For starters, we ordered the Chips and pico de gallo. The pico was very fresh and tasty and came with a generous portion of tortilla chips. For dinner, we ordered 3 tacos each - Manolos Bam Bam chicken tacos, Milwalke taco, Shrimp cilantro tacos, and the Quasi birria taco. When they arrived they seemed pretty small but our eyes were bigger than our stomach. Each soft corn tortilla taco was loaded with the selected meat and accompanied toppings. Each one was very delicious with generous amounts of chicken, shrimp, and steak with just the right amount of spice. After 3 of them I was stuffed! For dessert, we tried the stuffed Churros which were lightly coated with cinnamon and came with 2 dipping sauces of chocolate and creamy donut glaze. So good! Overall, we had a great experience at Contento.Nice atmosphere for lunch or dinner. The Lucha Libre pictures and wall paper in the men's bathroom were very cool!

Found out tables were only available via reservation which I thought was a bit odd for a Mexican restaurant but we were offered a seat at the bar so we jumped on that. Inside the decor was festive with a number of Frida pictures and great wallpaper in the restroom. We ordered guacamole and tacos. The guacamole came out quickly and was tasty, with a slightly sweet twist due to the pomegranate seeds and chips just as I like them. I ordered the milwalke and manolos bam bam tacos. I preferred the bam bam because it was filled a bit more but I didn't love the mayo based sauce on either. I would've preferred that on the side or, even better, an offering of salsa instead. I would've loved to review their salsa but only heard about it as I was finished up and it was offered to the couple sitting next to us at the bar. I was excited to try here but there were a few misses during our visit so we'll head to other local restaurants when we're in the area for a more satisfying meal next time.

Not one person came in 20 minutes to check on her or ask if she wanted anything to drink while she waited. When the two of us arrived, we ordered drinks right away and an appetizer as soon as the waiter came. The beer and the artichoke dip were amazing! Yum! I personally ordered the Southwest Ranch Salad. When it arrived, I knew right away that It wasn't going to be very good. It was a plain looking salad but not many other salad choices that looked good to me at the time. The salad was made with chicken thighs, which struck me as a little different from the beginning and is a cheaper meat. There was maybe six tiny little chicken thighs on the plate. The buttermilk fried breading was so over powering and when I cut into the chicken thighs, there were strings of tendons and very fatty. Multiple pieces I couldn't eat. It was not a good salad. The other two people I came with said their sandwiches were "okay, but nothing special". Sadly we are not rushing back.
