This lock was a replacement for a previously owned (10 years) Schlage. I changed those batteries every 2 years. I purchased the Encore in mid January 2025 and received a battery alert while out of town, the latter part of March. Not happy. Back to Nathan...He was punctual; actually early so he was waiting for me. Nathan assessed the situation and he was able to get me access to my home almost immediately! He swapped out my batteries, checked and cleaned the battery holder and then had me test it several times while locking and unlocking. While I have no idea what a locksmith charges, I appreciated the way Nathan replied so promptly and quickly addressed my problem. Friendly voice answers and we set an appointment. Morning on the appointment, I get a reminder call for the appoint with an eta. He calls once more to says he's near and I can step out. I walk outside and he's pulling into the driveway with this big van. He greets me and gives me the price which was nearly $100 less than I was expecting. I hand him my key. He goes back to his truck and says he'll be complete in under 5 minutes. In under 5 minutes I have a key in hand and finished this review.

He literally spend half hour and he wanted to charge me $100 more than what he quoted . I declined to pay the extra $100 and he started taking the front door lock off. Really bad experience and uncomfortable. Communication is horrible, I don't recommend him.

I ended up changing the bottom lock as well as the top lock. I wanted a good quality lock. He installed the same lock that he uses at his property. Saving money is not number one when looking for good security. Then I paid him to fix the sliding glass doors. The owner also helped me with hurricane shutters that would not close. He explained that shaking them and moving slowly while holding the upper and lower part of the accordion shutter works best. The prices were reasonable and the value for service received was good. I will definitely use Angel Locksmith every time I need a locksmith now.
