Moving into a new house our yard was completely bare. We needed a cement patio, walkway, rocks, sod, and irrigation lines set up. Sonny reached out to me once i posted my project details and scheduled a walk through within the next couple days. He provided us an estimate the same day and answered all of our questions. It is incredibly refreshing to be able to work with someone who was so responsive throughout the entire project which is actually very hard to find. The entire project was finished in less then 2 weeks and the only reason it took that long is that there was rain for a few days. We couldn't believe how fast the work was done and the finished product was beyond our expectations. We went from a dirt pile with mile long weeds to an amazing and beautiful yard. I highly recommend Sonny and his company. They do an exceptional job and i can't wait to tell other neighbors or friends who need any sort of landscaping jobs done. I reached out to quite a few landscapers before we went with Sonny and was extremely disheartened by all of these companies listed for several different reasons. I know it is a busy season as pointed out by each one that i was able to get a hold of. There was either no response after i had followed up via call/email, lack of response after they would promise a quote within a couple days and then return with it after several weeks, or they would not listen to what we wanted and would be interrupting and add on several more things as i suspect to make the job more expensive. read more

Good company and did good on deck and etc in GENERAK. But not good at details - Check out downspout in rain that cracked and never worked. I'll have.ti get someone out that knows how to fix this. See video. read more

CAUTION: I'm truly baffled how this company stays afloat. Dealing with them has been the worst contractor experience, and I've flipped three homes in the last 2 years and have worked with many contractors. Sonny seemed professional and reasonable during the quote but then quickly came on strong, rushing a deposit via Venmo and attempted to tack on a processing fee after the fact, then overcharged to correct their initial shoddy work. The work crew drank on the job, leaving beer cans and Burger King trash in my yard, neglecting to stow their equipment between work days. They consistently cut corners and aimed to overcharge at every opportunity. Originally, I was quoted for cedar wood, but they installed cedar tone for my fence, which won't endure Colorado's conditions and is significantly cheaper. They eventually corrected this. Another section of my fence was meant to be repaired, but they left the stakes I had put in temporarily to support it, making me severely question the quality of work. They quoted me for rocks around the trees, but they used mulch instead also significantly cheaper, and neither this nor any compensation was provided. Lastly, I was told I'd get 6-foot spruce trees, but they planted 3-foot ones. I received $100 per tree as compensation which probably doesn't compare to the actual cost difference in supplies. This all happened in May 2023. By October 2023, the trees had perished, the grass wasn't receiving even watering, and unsurprisingly, Sonny never responded, despite this supposedly being within the one-year warranty. Also, it's worth noting that the drip line isn't on its own zone, probably contributing to the trees and grass not being properly watered. Overall, every single part of this project so far has been a complete regret. I strongly recommend avoiding Sonnydaze and considering other options for your projects. I will also be reaching out to the licensing company with high concern for lack of qualified site staff. read more

Sunny Daze Landscaping - Mulch where rocks were quoted and dying tree which was initially quoted as a 6" tree but it was 3". - Landscaping Near Me - Denver, Colorado

See all

Initially our landscaping looked fine and Sonny guaranteed the plantings for 1 year. This spring several plants had died and I contacted Sonny about coming out for new plantings etc. He said that he could come out a few days after I called him at the end of May. No call back or response. Has not answered his phone or responded to any voice messages left. He has not answered any emails. I even left a note at his "business" location! Not a great business model. read more

Sunny Daze Landscaping - 2 dead evergreens - Landscaping Near Me - Denver, Colorado

The concrete patio they installed a few years ago is cracked and collapsing and they buried our French drain spouts all of 6 inches deep so the ground has all eroded and the spout is completely exposed. Wasn't very happy from the start but seeing how this work has aged a bit is so upsetting. read more

The entire crew was amazing!! They gave us everything we asked for at a very reasonable price. The crew was quick and thorough. Even came back to fix a sprinkler head that wasn't working properly. Recommend highly!!! read more

The fence they installed is falling apart and the barriers between the grass and rock are coming up and have been getting worse every year. We have complained to sunny with no reply from the company. I would not recommend that anyone use this company! read more

Sunny and his group was awesome. Professional. They did a wonderful job transforming my back yard to an oasis.

What a joke this outfit is. We had Sonny install a fence and a couple of gates, a stone garden box and clear a large area & put down some mulch. I will say, the stone planter box does look nice, they actually did a good job on that. When installing the fence, I warned them that the wires going to our detached garage were underground. I didn't know the exact location since it was all put in in 1978 but I had a rough idea and asked them to be careful when digging. Sure enough, they hit the wiring right by the house. They didn't say a word, just covered it up and kept going. Over the next few weeks, the nicks in the wiring shorted and the line completely failed. I called and text Sonny, when he did finally respond he said they would come and take the fence down and help dig a trench so the electric line could be replaced. Well, that never happened. I had to pay to have it dug up and replace it. The gates that they put up were falling apart after just a few months. Ive had to rebuild both of them. The fence they put up, a quarter of it I had to reattach the pickets because they were falling off. The weed barrier fabric is sticking out in multiple places where they put the mulch down. The mulch is just a thin layer, it needed about twice as much as they put down. The first 2 days they were "working", I had to let Sonny know that his guys were only working a few hours a day. They took over 2hrs for lunch, left early, stood around. Sonny didn't care, at all. BEWARE!!!! read more

I'm going to second Dave R.'s review. Sonny was a horrible communicator and believes that flawed work should be acceptable to customers. My husband and I hired Sunny Daze to install a 600 square foot walkway and patio with no curves. What we thought would be an easy job turned out to be quite the challenge for them. The paver walkway and patio was uneven. They came to fix it, but it's still uneven. Not once did he check up on his employees' work while in progress. Sonny also took it upon himself to install a flagstone step by our patio door without consulting us first. We voiced our concerns about a chip in the flagstone. Sonny's response was, "all stone and pavers can chip." Each time they said they were done, Sonny immediately hounded us for his payment and said he didn't want to wait for me to send a check. He threatened to file a lien after only 3 days of completing the job. Bottom line is that Sonny is very unprofessional and confuses questions about the quality of his work and requests to get the job done right as "hassling" and "complaining." There was no appreciation for our business and no apologies for messing up. It was all about getting his money. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere if you need landscaping work done. read more

Sunny Daze just completed a project at our home in Denver. From our first contact through completion Sonny did everything exactly as promised. He showed up at our property and called me ( we live out of state), looked at the area to be landscaped and talked through the options. A couple days later he sent a bid with pictures and a description of the job. We set a tentative date based on their potential availability and my travel to Denver. Sonny was great about updating me on his schedule changes and in the end, everything got done on the original dates we set. Our communication with other companies we investigated was not as great - very slow response if any at all. The team Sonny brought was hardworking and pleasant to have around. The yard turned out beautifully! We had irrigation installed as well and they took great care in making sure we knew how everything operated. We highly recommend the services of Sunny Daze Landscaping!!!!! read more

I would definitely recommend Sonny for landscaping projects. Sonny installed flagstone in my backyard last summer, and his estimate was the same as two others I'd received. I've also used him to install irrigation, lighting, and new sod, and he has always been very professional and great to work with. My backyard is truly an oasis now, thanks to Sonny! read more

Poor communicator. Customer is not as important as the owner. Plumbed my sprinkler system improperly. When the sprinklers turn anyone in the shower gets scalded. read more

I have now worked with Sonny for over 6 years on over 25+ projects. Sonny and his crew (especially his right hand man Fernando) are just exceptional people to work with. My definition of a excellent contractor is one who shows up on time, does the work quickly and professionally and corrects any mistakes or issues with no complaining. Their company does all of these things to perfection. On so many of my projects I thought I had a good idea of what I wanted. Most of the time Sonny and Fernando adjust what my vision was (only after consulting with me) and make it 10 times better. They are the pros that do this job day in and day out. Rarely are there cost overruns unless it's something that I add on as a typical change order. I have recommended Sonny to multiple clients including jobs that are over $25,000 and I've heard nothing but great comments back from everyone. Nothing would ever stop me from recommending them. 5 plus stars!! read more

Sunny and his team did a fantastic job with our front yard. It looked fabulous last May when they did it and we love seeing everything sprouting and coming to life this May. They did everything we asked and more. Sunny's suggestions turned out great! People slow down in front of our house to look at it! read more

Sonny and his team built us a beautiful flagstone patio and fire pit, as well as a decorative flagstone retaining wall. He also installed trees and landscaping plants/flowers for us. Sonny is trustworthy, timely, and thorough. He came in under budget and has been a pleasure to work with. I would recommend him for any project! read more

I would highly recommend Sunny Daze landscaping. We used them to transform our backyard from a drab abyss of 6 foot privacy fence and dead grass into an outdoor oasis with a 50 ft. custom flagstone patio and landscaping around the perimeter. The crew was fantastic and hard working, while being extremely respectful of our property, making sure to clean up every day before they left. It was nice to have a one stop shop with a single team doing the demo, new patio, landscaping, sprinkler work, etc. I also love supporting a local business and have been very pleased with the results. read more

Great experience with Sonny and his team. He was quick to respond to the request for an estimate which included two paths, ground leveling, removal and planting of new plants and an additional zone to our sprinkler system. He answered all our questions thoroughly before starting work. He came right on time before the team began. The crew finished the work very quickly. The foreman addressed a couple of small quality items right then and there. They cleaned everything up and I spoke to Sonny personally and approved of the work before he requested payment. All the work was exactly as we requested and he described. Would recommend and use again. read more
