Had to call Roadside Assistance to jump it so I could get to O'Reilly's Auto Parts for a new battery before they closed. They said it was the alternator not the battery. Contacted DFW Mobile Repair and Hamm responded immediately with a price quote to fix it. Set up the appointment for mid-afternoon the next day, July 5th (Sunday, on a holiday weekend). Hamm was certainly knowledgeable, and after testing, said it was BOTH the battery and alternator. He replaced the alternator (which he had brought, having had my prior information as to car and model) and then drove to O'Reilly's nearby for a replacement battery which he then installed. In short, Hamm was responsive, capable, courteous and efficient. DFW saved the day (although I lost most of the holiday weekend with the problem!). Pricing wasn't cheap but was competitive I'd say. Give DFW a shot. Their customer service and mechanical work was outstanding. They also have a shop in addition to their mobile repair service. I will certainly consider them for all my future work! Any shop that offers a 10% discount in exchange for a positive review should, in my opinion, be approached with caution. My experience with this shop was far from positive. A truck that had 250,000 miles on it and was showing signs that should have raised some serious questions about a failing head gasket. Instead, I was led through a series of costly repairs that basically treated the symptoms instead of finding the actual problem. Those repairs ultimately failed within a few weeks. They also installed what I believe were cheap aftermarket parts, including the wrong front struts. When I brought it to their attention, instead of taking responsibility and replacing them, they wanted to charge me to install a lift on the rear of the truck to compensate for the front end sitting higher than the rear. WTF? Another big concern was the price and quality of the parts. When I asked about the brand of the parts they were installing, which seemed they were hesitant to reveal, I was surprised to find what appeared to be nearly a 100% markup compared with retail prices. Their invoices also don't identify the brand or manufacturer of the parts, so you really don't know what you're paying for. In my experience, the parts were marked up an unreasonable amount, especially considering the quality. Looking back, I feel like the focus was more on getting me to authorize additional repairs rather than properly figuring out what was actually wrong with the truck, knowing Id probably just cut my losses if I had been told the truth about the head gasket from the beginning. I originally brought my truck here because I was trying to avoid dealership prices. Unfortunately, when I finally took it to the dealership, that's when I learned what was actually wrong with the truck, which was in fact the head gasket and the wrong struts installed. The dealership also asked me if I had ever used a quick sealant in my engine because of the sludge they found in the radiator overflow, the radiator that auto clinique just replaced. I don't have proof, but definitely raised even more concerns about the shop practices. I was so hopeful that I had found an honest shop, but sadly, I'd have to say they are far from it. And Ray, I'm not interested in you telling me how you offer a year warranty on your parts and repairs. Thank you

While I received satisfactory work from them, they NEVER finished my vehicle when promised. Working with DACC was a different experience. The service was personalized and professional. When I called to arrange a time to pick up my vehicle (on the day they promised when I dropped it off) Angel suggested I pick it up in the afternoon instead of the morning so he could detail it. I assumed by "detail" he meant they would drive it through a car wash and do a half-assed vacuum job. You cannot imagine my shock when I saw my truck! It looks better than when I drove it off the showroom floor. The work was the highest quality and when Angel said he would detail it, he meant detail in the comprehensive sense of the term. I paid $200 a year ago to have it detailed. DACC's detail far exceeded that job. There was not a speck of dust or dirt inside or outside of the truck when I picked it up.
