I bought the mPulse single person sauna which retails over 5k. Part of the reason I bought this model was to have access to apps and programs to use on the tablet that was built into the model. Unfortunately the tablet is now "obsolete" and I am only able to turn it off and on and can't use any apps. Customer service informed me that it was not their fault and that the new tablets aren't compatible with the sauna. So, I have to buy a new tablet and a new power source (even though they aren't technically broken). Oh and the cost is 1000$. And I have to install it all myself. This sauna isn't even paid off yet. You would think the company would at the very least offer the upgrades at cost instead of profiting off customers due to THEIR issue with not designing their product properly or having the engineers come up with a work around. Pathetic customer service and a company obviously cares more about new customers and $$ then the ones who are stuck with a faulty product. read more

Hasn't worked right since we recieved it. Countless calls to customer service. All they do is tell us to unplug or switch the breaker. Shouldn't have to do that everytime we want to use somethig that we just spent $11,000 on. Do your research and buy something else. read more

We purchased our Sunlighten Mpulse Spa in November. It then took us until January before it was delivered. It only worked three months and two weeks ago BROKE. We were told it was the light panels and that it has been an issue with other customers too. I just received an email saying that they are out of the replacements and that they have NO IDEA when it will be fixed. I am beyond livid. I paid almost $14,000 for this sauna and now it is useless. read more

Despite two month of dealing with tech support, ordering new replacement parts, re-installing the central power unit, and updating software... it still doesn't work. We have spent countless hours trying to get customer service on the phone. They simply don't answer, and won't schedule a time for a call-back, making it impossible to coordinate support. We are now fighting for a full refund. This product is a piece of sh*t. Really buggy software, and horrendous support. They market really well, but don't build a quality product or support it. My sauna, less than a year old, was not getting to the predetermined temperature for each pre-set program. I was allowing the sauna to preheat for 20-30 minutes even, and by the end of the 30 minute weight loss program, it was still 15 degrees or so from the factory pre-set temperature for the program. I finally called Sunlighten and was told I have to allow the sauna to preheat for AN HOUR!!! If I'd known it takes an hour to pre-hear to the right temperature, I never would have bought this sauna. Do your research...there are other several other reputable infrared sauna companies out there. read more

there are other saunas on the market of equal quality. Due to their "used car salesman" sales tactics alone, I'd say to run from Sunlighten. I was promised a deal, then told this is America and I should have calculated the final total myself, then to have the offer rescinded, a new rep assigned to tell me my offer was "APPROVED" with a big red stamp, to then omit the details underneath, rescinding the offer again, etc.. I never received the accessories I was promised as part of my bundle, was harassed daily by their sales people, to only have to call into customer service once a week for unusual issues getting my sauna to start. If the sales experience were not so shady and amateur feeling, my perspective on the company would be far better. spend your hard earned thousands elsewhere. this is not a luxury experience for the luxury price tag! read more

I ordered a 3-Person Signature Sauna from Sunlighten. It arrived without the radio. I called them and they said they were on it. After 2 months and numerous follow-up calls, nothing! In fact, they have completely ghosted me. Sales rep has gone silent. Customer service non-existent. And if I have a problem with the unit...I can't imagine they'll stand behind it. We did a lot of research and talked with people about saunas and decided on a Sunlighten signature sauna. Delivery was on time and setup went great. We love the sauna. But as this was a referral, our friends were supposed to receive a $100 in free accessories. While our sales rep, George Robertson, initially responded to my emails, after months, our friends have not received their credit. I would like to get this resolved. I have called dozens of times. I leave my call back number, sometimes I wait until the system hangs up on me. I call first thing, mid day and in the afternoon. I am having the WORST experience with my sauna and I only keep being passed back and forth between sales people in their company. I ordered a Signature 1 September 29, paid in full, received the unit and the first time we tried to use it it almost BURNT DOWN MY HOME. Smoke filled my exercise room, it melted the mesh lining inside the unit. I called and they apologized and said they'd send a replacement part- we waited almost two weeks for the replacement and it was just a small wooden grate?! I then called more upset and asked for a replacement, which they don't have in stock. Now I'm waiting on a refund and they want me to disassemble and return the unit?!?! The customer service is horrendous- every time I call they pass me to someone else. They charged my CC the moment I called but now nothing. At this point they OWE me money for my time. I spent $5000.00 on what I thought wasn't the best sauna ever according to the sales guy. After finally getting to put it in use I realized that you can not turn this on and off from your phone. Their customer service is non-existent. They have no one answering phones. I am trying to BUY a red light board. I selected option 1 on the prompts which is the residential sales prompt. I get a human and I am told I need to call back and select customer support. I call back and select option 3 and it automatically goes to call back option. This happens every time I call. Then I have to play the wait for a call back. As of right now I am still waiting for a call back from a "case" that was created on 1/19. All this just to try and BUY a $500 item from this company. I have had the Signature IV for just under a year, It works well when it is working. However, it was sent without a special type of screw you can not buy at a hardware store, it took multiple calls and 6 weeks to get a single screw. Then just recently, the entire back panel heater died. I called in, they identified the issue, "sent" the part... It never went through due to it being a "newer part" (On a 3 yr old model?) I had to call in to find this out, to be told the delay was fixed and should be sent out soon... 3 weeks later, I call again and find out it should now be 3-5 weeks and there is nothing better they can do. Each time, there has been no follow up from Sunlighten. Who knows if it will get fixed, but I am now looking into legal action since I sure don't need a $8,000 paperweight. read more

I am so grateful to Noah, a sunlight representative. He went beyond his regular duty to help me. I love my sauna, but am in financial distress and I can't pay for my medical bills. So, I am forced to sell a lot of things in my home. Noah helped me figure out an asking price, told me what product to use to clean it up, told me about the best venue for selling, and is sending me a couple of parts that I need. It is amazing to see the depth of a poor customer experience from start to finish with Sunlighten Saunas! I have owned my sauna for almost 4 years now and the hits just keep on coming. I think I have spoken with almost every person at Sunlighten and the backwash and fluff talk continues. I have recently had another heating pad go out on our Amplify sauna and have called the company for three days now to get a replacement part. They are now telling me that they will send me the needed part when "I pay" for the shipping for a warranty part when their "credit card system comes back up." Once again, I have to spend hours and multiple days contacting Sunlighten as I did in the beginning when I purchased the sauna and finally had it delivered. BUYER BEWARE--the Sunlighten saunas are way overpriced for their products and especially the service you receive. I am so pleased with my purchase. My experience with customer service is great. They sometimes don't answer the phone right away but they ALWAYS call me back in a short while. And they are very patient walking me through any questions. I bought this sauna because of the medical grade and good quality. I've read some of the comments and I can't believe it. I've had my unit a couple of years now and customer service is still excellent in answering my questions, etc. Now if you bought from another vendor, I can kind of understand their position - how do they know what happened when a 3rd party was involved and had possession of their product. That's why I try to always buy direct. The tablet is not slow - not sure what some reviewers were talking about. I am able to watch Netflix, YouTube, etc. with no problem. I did have a problem with it switching off, but called and they walked me through the fix right away and it has been performing perfectly ever since. I love the sauna and the benefits I am getting. And unlike some reviewers, I rate the customer service excellent. read more

**Update, I posted this review over a month ago on TrustPilot....Nicolas at Sunlighten immediately called me to schedule a pick up of my unit. It now has been 5 more weeks....and no scheduled pickup, no follow up. I have called the Sunlighten Customer Service number almost 14 times, and either it is a 35 to 40 min hold time, and then voicemail, or just only voicemail. No call back. The only email follow up I got was from Nicolas on April 3rd saying he has 'tried to contact pickup dept. every day'. Bottom line - even though Sunlighten is such a big company it seems impossible to get a hold of ANYBODY to return my unit. So much for spending $10k.... Whoever reviews this review please contact me ASAP, I may need to take a legal route if I can't return this in a timely manner. I purchased a Sunlighten Discover M Pulse 4 person sauna on January 4th. In regards to the sales part and getting information on the product, the representative was very informative and knowledgable. She even sent me comparisons on data comparing their sauna to the competition and the proprietary system they have, I was sold. She even explained how easy it is to set up with the magnetic attachment of the panels, etc. and how two people can do it. Well, for the record, it takes at least 3 people, and can be set up fairly easily but its not as easy as she explained. This isn't why I am writing a 1 star review though.. The first time I got in the sauna, I pre-heated it for 45 min knowing it does take some time. I looked at the temperature on the screen and it says max 160 but it was only pushing 129. It never got hotter than 132... I then called Sunlighten, no response, can't leave vm, etc, took them 3 days to get back. I submitted a ticket for returning the product and then they finally called me. They said the pre-set health settings such as weightless, cardiovascular, etc. run at a temperate around 110 to 128 degrees. Well, this was NOT explained to me at all prior to purchasing. What I am getting at is a sauna is for getting a nice sweat in, you have that feeling of dripping in sweat and feel so good after. You don't get that with Sunlighten, or I would argue my unit is defective. It's hard for me to believe that Sunlighten being such a reputable and high-end company would have a product that is called a sauna but doesn't even make you sweat. I was in the unit on manual setting on highest temperature, pre-heated it for a full 60 min, got in it at 131 degrees, and still, barely sweating. The unit never will get over 132. I understand infrared is a different type of heat, however, I have been in 2 other infrared sauna's and yes, it is dry heat, yes, it heats you from inside out, I get it. At the same time, with those other 2 saunas I was sweating like crazy after just 15-20 min. You don't get that with Sunlighten. It literally feels like just warm and a perspire a tiny bit if you are in there for 45 min or so. As far as how the different wavelengths are beneficial etc, I am not so sure, I didn't really notice a difference. I have attempted to return the product and am now writing this review as buyer beware. Sunlighten has not responded back to me on following up on shipping back the unit. Their last response was 4 days ago saying do not call back, they will call me on protocol to return. I have not received any call. I called 3x this morning, and it has gone to voicemail, no answer. I literally feel like I am dealing with a makeshift company that portrays how great they are online, but the actual product is not what they say it is. Do your research and don't make the same mistake I did. I never even got the price on this review, I paid almost $10,000! And thought I was going with the best and getting quality, nope. You are better off getting a $3000 one through Costco, save the money. read more

I was told Nov 9th that the sauna would ship in 8-10 days and it still hasn't arrived. On Sunday Nov 25 I e-mailed customer service (I work nights so contacting during the day is difficult) and David e-mailed me Monday and told me to call them. I called Tuesday (because I didn't get the email until Monday night) and they transferred me to logistics who told me that they didn't know where my sauna was, or why it hadn't shipped but they would look into it and get back to me that night. No call. No e-mail. I e-mailed David again Tuesday night saying I hadn't heard back and now it's Wed night and I still haven't heard anything. So basically they have my money and I have no sauna and no contact about what is going on. read more

The sauna itself is awesome. I do not love that I can't sit up against the walls as I don't want to rip the fabric over the heaters or get it dirty with sweat My biggest problem is the OLD tablet that came in my sauna. It was outdated as soon as I bought it. I have had problems with the tablet since I first received it a year and a half ago. However one of the main reasons i waited so long to buy the sauna was that I couldn't turn it on remotely. Several sales people promised me it would be available by the end of the year 2021. It was NOT. It is just now available for some users. Not mine however as you need an android 10 tablet and mine has a 6. No idea when it might become available for me. Maybe never as my tablet seems to be one they just had in storage somewhere for years and it outdated. They would sell me a new one however for $600+. I feel completely tricked and lied to. It was the NUMBER 1 thing I wanted in my sauna and after a year and a half I still do not have it and maybe never will. They will seem to tell you anything to buy one. Be wary of the sales department. However customer service has not done anything to back them up either. read more

My review is based on the delivery and setup experience. I was told that this sauna would be VERY easy to install and that the maximum size piece is the size of a twin bed mattress. The salesperson told me that two adults cooks very easily do this. The sauna was dropped off in our garage. It weighs 800 pounds. It is extremely heavy and awkward, and we haven't even gotten to the actual setup. This company should offer white glove delivery into the location where it is to be setup, at minimum. read more

I'm going to be honest. I purchased this about 2.5 years ago I loved it. We had to move so I sold it and wished I had not so...I purchased it again (and paid more due to inflation) I've had it less than 24 hours and I'm regretting the decision. So far it's much harder to set up to even begin a session. The item itself had flaws in craftsman ship the interface and pad- is second rate. I don't even have room to use Hulu. It says it needs more space to download the new version. I'm very disappointed. How does a product change so much? My husband and I put the older one together twice we really had it down but this time it still took forever to set up and the craftsmanship was very different than our first unit. We purchased the exact same unit. I'm really disappointed at this moment. I used to be so happy with this company and product but I'm not excited to get up tomorrow and struggle with this item to make it work...let's hope it goes better than today. read more

There was an issue we discovered with the sauna not getting hot enough and they helped me diagnose the problem over the phone, walking me through the troubleshooting process the whole way though. All the staff members I connected with were friendly and eager to help. I received multiple follow-up emails at each step in my troubleshooting process and that was really wonderful knowing I was on their mind and they wanted to ensure my satisfaction. We received our signature 1 sauna and it takes over an hour to hit about 120 degrees, so much planning is necessary to use. Even at 120 degrees, once in, I've seen it get up to about 130. Sweat is minimal. Definitely not as much as desired or expected. It seems the product we received is not the best. We wish the sauna would warm up faster. read more

I can't get anybody to resolve a big issue! One of four heat panels hasn't worked since I received the sauna!! The firs sauna they sent me had physical damage on the outside. It took too long (and my original sales rep I couldn't even get in touch with) to get a new one sent out. I set this one up, and one heat panel won't produce any heat. They don't care. I purchased a Sunlighten sauna in February. The unit was somewhat damaged in transit to the local warehouse. Noah Deserves a 5 for helping me. I wish I had talked to him before hand, but some of the other representative I cannot say the same about. I also cannot recommend sunlighten. I have an issue that still has not resolved since September of last year. We are at the end of March. I hope now it is resolving. I wish I had Noah as a rep at the beginning and he might have resolved this from the get go. Missing parts, wrong parts, parts with missing cables, wrong advice, lack of care is what I have experienced with most of the reps except Noah. I even spoke with someone in management, and after the initial conversation he disappeared and did not answer any more emails. What I think would have been the most effective and would have saved them money and time would have been for one knowledgeable to take the case and stay the course. I am in the customer service industry and I was not asking for anything unreasonable but to fix the problems with the sauna. Noah was excellent in helping me resolve my issue. He was patient, systematic in going through trouble shooting steps to resolve my issue with my sauna. I have had the best experience with him. Also, he listened very attentively to what was going on and was very specific to address the issue. My sense is that he cares about his customers in resolving their issues.
