Warning About America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses - Waco, Texas…read moreMy wife and I had an extremely disappointing experience at America's Best in Waco, Texas. We went there in December 2025 and used our insurance benefits for glasses. In February 2026, I returned for contact lenses. I left the office without clear vision and was told it would take a few days for the contacts to adjust. Four months and approximately eight trips later (nearly 50 miles each way), I still do not have clear vision. My prescription was changed repeatedly, but the problem was never corrected. I have worn contacts for 40 years and have never experienced this many problems or excuses from a vision provider. My wife had the exact same experience. Neither one of us currently has vision good enough to safely drive, and we cannot even use a computer comfortably without adding reading glasses purchased elsewhere. We spoke with General Manager Joel Files, but our concerns were not handled in a way that resolved the issue. We requested a refund so we could go somewhere else for proper vision care. America's Best refunded only the deductible and has not credited back the insurance-paid portion. After months of frustration, wasted time, travel, and additional expenses, we are now forced to find another provider and pay again.

He ended up throwing in a free throne seat with the purchase of a 24 month warranty. I had the privilege of speaking with three different employees, plus the manager Mike, and the kindness and professionalism was superior! As a female who knows NOTHING about instruments, I was a little nervous going in and being sold overpriced items due to my lack of knowledge. However, I was SO wrong to be worried! Mike even found out I was scammed out of a $100 gift card and decided to honor that discount anyways. I would happily drive back to Waco from the Tyler area to purchase from these guys again! The equipment they use may not be state of the art like you would find at other locations, but they are masters with what they are using. The Doctor listened to every concern and need I had, went above and beyond with their approach and patience in fielding my questions. The staff was also equally fantastic in giving me honest feedback on eyewear and helping me understand the variety of options I had. They truly did not focus on the sale as much as they focused on meeting my needs and exceeding my expectations for customer service. I only wish I could give more stars, wonderful experience. I went to the O'Reilly Auto Parts location at 617 N Robinson Dr (Store 2457) Robinson, TX 76706 (254) 662-0503 and the Associate behind the counter was a young lady named Katie, according to the name stitched on her shirt. I have to admit I was a bit skeptical but asked her to help me getting the right bulbs for my 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. She looked the products up and checked the numbers according to manual reference numbers and then proceeded to complete my purchase. I said thank you so much and then jokingly asked if she of one of the gentlemen working with her could insert them properly for me. To my surprise she pulled out a cart with tools and rolled them out the door behind my truck. She made quick work of the replacement of the good bulbs for the bad ones, and I was on my way home. She asked if there was anything else she could do for me, to which I replied, "Young lady you have done more than expected, so have a Blessed Day!" Before leaving I thanked her once again for helping me with this. It wasn't that I could not have done it myself, it is just that I had already tried with the bulbs we had previously obtained elsewhere and my getting up and the ability to get up and down from the back end of my truck wasn't as easy as it once was for me now being a senior citizen with Full Knee Replacements hampering my mobility. All I can say is O'Reilly has a Great Associate working for them in Robinson, Texas. I'm sure they do elsewhere also, but today Katie was an absolute angel sent from above to help this old man get back on the road! My receipt said her name was Catalina, but I just want O'Reilly Auto Parts to know who waited on me and I hope her manager, or the store owners or management take notice of her "Excellence, providing above and beyond expected customer service. Then you go point to frames to look at and the staff bring them to the table so they can disinfect later. Dale waited on me the first time. I picked the frames I wanted and paid. The frames were a bit late but not their fault. The company making the eyeglasses found that one set frames I picked were not compatible w my script. Brandy notified me promptly and I cane in and picked a new set. They were only a couple days late and I got both sets. Brandy checked w me about fitting etc. it really was a good experience both w service and the glasses fit well and are accurate. One note is that they are closed Sundays now and if you want to drop off some old frames for donations they have a box for that.

I was visiting from out of town and decided to purchase a new phone. I was told my data transfer…read morewould only take about 45 minutes. The download took 18 hours. By the time I got to my home state my new phone stopped working. The reason it stopped working was because I was sold a 256g phone but had a 512g phone. All of my data was not able to transfer. Before going to my local store, I didn't realize what was happening, so I was making sure my new phone was able to access all the app with usernames and passwords. I went to my local store because now, I'm not able to send/receive text and calls. I was deleting apps off the old phone because they are now on the new phone. The rep at the store in my home state realize the issue and told me I will be charged a restocking fee of $55 because the phone box has been opened and if I want my phone to work, there is no way around it. So now, I had to upgrade my phone from 256g to 512g, pay taxes again on the 2nd new phone, lost alot of my apps because they wiped the first new phone cleaned and reactivated my old phone. What a mess! Now, I am out of money, a new phone and have to wait 7-10 days for the new phone because they are not in stock. Is it not so hard for the reps to view the gigs on the current phone and ask do I want less gigs or not? I was also told I would have to call customer care and ask them for the restocking fee of $55 back because of the error of the rep. I understand errors are made; however, the cost and time lost falls on me, the customer, with nothing more than an apology. I will NEVER purchase a phone out of state and from a non( PRIME) AT&T store again.

So we have to get her all new shoes to fit over those, we were helped by the sweetest man I believe his name was Caleb. I thought I was going to have to special orders shoes which I was nervous about since we couldn't try them on, but Caleb came out from the back with 8 boxes of shoes in all colors and styles. He gave us tips on what brands work best with AFOs and put my mind at ease. We left with a adorable pair of shoes that fit perfect.
