WARNING- This store does not honor their own return policy…read more On July 8th, I attempted to return sunglasses I bought from sunglasses hut in Macy's. I bought the sunglasses on June 17. I had the original receipt which states a 30 day return policy. The 30 day return policy is also displayed in multiple places on the counter. The cashier refused the return. She claimed they now had a two week return policy, but was unable to show me any documentation of where this was stated. She later admitted that the return policy was 30 days but that I was close enough to the return date that she wasn't going to accept the return. 6/17-7/8 is 22 days. I'm still a bit shocked by this conversation, I was really discussing with another gainfully employed, articulate adult, the definition of the number 30. One of those "is this real?" moments. The cashier elaborated that she believed that she believed people wear the sunglasses and return them used and unsellable within the return policy window, insinuating that she believes that this is what I was doing. She did not look at the sunglasses I was attempting to return before making this statement. They were, in fact, unused. For this reason I believe she was discriminating based on my appearance. Regardless, even if people do wear the sunglasses and return them with the 30 day window, the company policy is to accept the return within 30 days, so this would be a moot point. I would just go there to try sunglasses on if absolutely necessary, but never purchase from them.

I had a very frustrating experience at the Warby Parker location in Corte Madera. The biggest issue…read morewas the lack of professionalism and accountability from the staff. When I first checked in, I was told the wait would be about 45 minutes. After waiting that entire time, I went back to the counter to check on my appointment. At that point, the employee told me I would need to wait another hour because they were short staffed. The problem was not the staffing shortage -- things happen. The problem was the complete lack of communication or responsibility from the team. No one mentioned that they were significantly behind, no one checked in with waiting customers, and no one offered any realistic expectation of the wait time. In total, I spent about 2.5 to 3 hours waiting around the plaza and ultimately never even got seen to have my glasses repaired. A simple acknowledgment of the situation or a heads-up about the delay would have made a big difference. Instead, it felt like customers' time was not respected at all. Very disappointing experience.

The Montgomery Village location in Santa Rosa is exactly what you want from a modern optical…read moreshop--clean, airy, and bright. It actually makes the process of picking out frames feel less like a medical errand and more like a high-end shopping experience. The service was phenomenal. The staff is attentive without being hovering, which is great because their style selection is constantly rotating. I appreciate that they stay ahead of the curve with their designs; it's not just the same five racks you see everywhere else. I ended up walking away with two very different vibes: * The Oliver: A perfect, slightly narrow rectangular frame that's incredibly wearable for the day-to-day. * The Roosevelt: A bolder, wider frame with a classic keyhole bridge that really stands out. A huge plus is that they take insurance directly (MetLife, UnitedHealthcare, etc.), which makes the checkout process seamless. No annoying reimbursement forms to deal with on your own time. The only downside? The parking. Montgomery Village can be a bit of a maze, and finding a spot near the storefront is a "meh" experience at best. Give yourself an extra five minutes to hunt for a space. Overall, it's easily the best spot in Santa Rosa to update your look without the usual "doctor's office" doldrums.

Before the pandemic I wore all Black tailored clothing with sky high heels to work every day. Then the pandemic. Career switch. Working from home. No need for uncomfortable "hard" clothes or high heels. I still want to be stylish even if comfort is my motivation. Eileen Fisher outfits is that for me and Nordstrom is where I shop for it because unlike the EF store, at Nordstrom I can also buy bras and shoes in the same trip) Nordstrom has outfitted me through the many chapters of my life starting from my teen years. I continue to enjoy the consistent top tier customer service, wonderfully curated options in store, on site tailoring, and their generous return policy. I used to have a Nordstrom personal shopper. Then I was a member of The Trunk. Now I am considering the option to have Nordstrom brought to my home so I can try and buy things without going to the physical location. Stonestown and downtown SF used to be my primary stores. Now it's Corte Madera. This store is so well stocked, I almost never hear "I can order it online". I enjoy the instant gratification of taking my purchases home with me on the same day. The majority of my wardrobe was purchased at Nordstrom. I am a loyalist. PS: don't sleep on Nordstrom Rack at the Vintage Mall. If you aren't local, Nordstrom Rack online is so great for money saving designer options!

I just feel like the product selection here is better. For instance, the Hokas - what they had on display were actually nice colors, not just those weirdly bright ones, but aesthetically pleasing ones. I also feel that in general, they have a wide variety of selection for all their products. They have a really good shoe selection. Service is excellent too. I was helped pretty quickly without waiting to do a return. I'm really not sure why people aren't happy with this Nordstrom! It really is wonderful!!
