I used to participate in local triathlons so massage therapy was part of my recovery process so I have had a lot of massage therapy sessions. This place impressed me on the quality of massage, professionalism and atmosphere. This place is located of off the Lake Murray Boulevard so it was easy to find. Parking is a little tight but there is a shopping square next to it to utilize. The front desk person takes your payment before your session. They take credit card or cash. They also take reservations like we did for our couples massage we were both in the same room. The room was clean spacious and wall hooks to put your clothes. Our session was on Saturday afternoon and not too busy. It was pretty easy to get the appointment but there were appointments before and after our session. We did book the same day three hours before the appointment. They do couples massages, combo massages where the feet are involved and cupping massage. I recommend the 60 minute massage after 30 minutes your body will thank you! The quality was similar to what I'd expect my mom or aunt to provide without proper training. The final interaction was what solidified my decision. After paying and tipping based on the quality of service, I was questioned and laughed at for the tip amount by the front desk lady. If the business expects more than $90 for 90 minutes, that should be reflected in the pricing -- not taken out on customers. Here's what went right and wrong: Pros: -They were able to squeeze me in immediately. -Pricing is fair/decent. -Facility is clean and accepts credit card. Cons: -They never asked me what kind of massage I wanted, and there is definitely a huge language barrier. I told her I wanted deep tissue, with as much pressure as she could possibly do, and to spend the entire time on my back and shoulders. What I got instead was a 1 hour Swedish style full body massage. Because she didn't do the full hour on my shoulder like I specifically requested, my shoulder feels a little better but not completely... -There was a lack of instructions, likely due to the language issue. Most massage places will ask you once you walk into the room where you feel pain, then, they will tell you what level to undress to, where to leave your things, etc. That was not my experience. She literally walked me into the room, and then, closed the sliding door and gave me zero instructions. -There wasn't great privacy. I don't really care, but every other massage place I have been to is very careful not to expose your breasts or have the door open while you are not fully clothed. Again, that was not my experience here. Instead of a sheet to cover my body on the massage table, they gave me a body sized towel that really only covered my butt if I put it horizontally. Then, she came in as I was getting dressed, and I was in my bra, and she went to get me water with the door open. Overall, it was a good massage, and if I was in a pinch, I would return, but I'm honestly pretty surprised this place has all 5 star reviews, most of which are super recent, given I know others would be much more bothered by my experience than I was.
