I've been coming here for about 4-5yrs now. & I use to go literally weekly w/ my mom before I was pregnant. Even during my pregnancy. I love how they wouldn't give me a body massage as a health safety precaution since I was pregnant & explained that to me early months of my pregnancy. They only allowed me to lay down & get a head/arm massage & foot rub. Which I really needed because my ankles were sooooo swollen from my pregnancy. Crystal was who always helped us & she was very warm & comforting. She always recognized me when I called in. It'll always be me & my mom going in & we would call before heading over. Crystal was always able to get us an appointment right away. We always give/gave big tips since they were so deserving & hit the spot each time. My mom would specifically request Crystal since she had soft hands but was able to put the right amount of pressure. My mom is older & fragile. As for myself, I didn't mind who gave me my massage. It was usually the guy who was assisting her in checking in or some new girls they would have every so often. One of their names were Grace. I don't recall the name of others. We would always get the combo massage which included full body & foot massage. They do not have an atm there & do not accept card. So be prepared to come w/ cash for your massage & tip! I think ppl have ran out on them before. Or did not realize they didn't accept card & there wouldn't be much they'd be able to do. The customers would tell them they would go pull out cash & not come back I'm assuming. So now they have a rule to pay upfront prior to getting the massage. Since Crystal knew us very well we didn't have to pay until after. The reason I am giving it 4 out of 5 stars is because it is under new management. They remodeled everything & the prices are pretty up there now w/ other competitors. The new business owner posted their new prices in the photo section. I was not aware they were under new management. We hadn't went in months since it is harder for me to pamper myself now w/ having a 1yr old baby. We finally had the time to go recently. I called in like how I usually would. No one answered the first time & it kept ringing. So I hung up & called again. I got a woman (who is new owner) who I wasn't familiar w/. I asked for Crystal & there was a language barrier but I was able to make out what she said. She stated Crystal would be available around 6pm. Ok, so 6pm comes, we head over. We go to the back & me & my mom talked about how everything got remodeled & prices skyrocketed (which we understood due to covid, etc. & didn't mind because we love it there w/ Crystal who we've been going to since forever). We were waiting in the couples private massage room & for some reason I asked my mom, "What if Crystal doesn't work here anymore?" The husband & wife of new place comes in & gives us our massage. It was decent but not what we were use to. When our massage was over I asked about Crystal & the new business owner told me Crystal moved to LA w/ her new husband! Everything finally made sense!! The initial call to set up an appt, the remodeling, the new prices, new ownership, etc. We still would've went but idk why they didn't tell us over the phone. Maybe didn't want to lose out on business which I again understand. We still gave them a $20 tip each which I think they were surprised. Thanked us & told us to come back whenever & they will definitely take care of us. Since it is now under new management, me & my mom decided to part ways from here & venture out to new massage places when I could find the time of course. Saddens me since this was our go to spot. I have never experienced a "massage" like this before. The entire experience was a joke and quite frankly... extremely disturbing. I should've seen the red flags, but I was in pain & my usual spot didn't have an opening that day. When I initially called to see if there were any available appointments, the lady on the phone sounded almost frantic & told me to "come in right away!" I told her I had to stop by the ATM to get cash & she just replied with "hurry now & I'll give you a massage!" (Red flag #1) I got there 15 min later and the same lady was in the lobby & asked for payment first. I gave her a $100 bill (90 min massage is $95) and I stood there waiting for my change but she completely ignored me & told me to follow her to the room. I thought, "ok, she just wants me to settle in while she gets change." So I'm laying under the sheet in my boxers for what seemed like another 10 min & then someone entered. Didn't say a single word & pulled the sheet completely off me & pulled my boxers down completely exposing my bum, then pulled the bottom of my boxers all the way up to where I jumped and had to push her hand away. At this point I'm thinking this is weird asf, it's cold as shit, and I can hear her fumbling around for another 5 min. (Red flag #2) Finally she starts the "massage." Lawd, I've had PLENTY of massages all over San Diego & LA and this was something else. She started rubbing my body with oil from shoulder to butt with zero pressure & focused primarily on my inner thighs, constantly running her hands closer and closer to my junk. I kept adjusting and telling her to focus on my shoulders... which she would, but after a few min her hands wandered back down there (all without a single word). (Red flag #3, ya moron) Then she told me to flip over & started at my feet but her damn hands kept moving up my leg & I sat up & told her I'm done. She apologized & promised she'd focus on my neck, so stupidly I believed her. As she massages my neck, out of nowhere she grabbed my junk & said "You want?" And that's when I swatted her hand away & opened my eyes in shock and she looked me dead in the eye and motioned her hand in an appropriate manner. I told her no & that the massage was over. I got up off the table & she just stood in the corner literally watching me grab my clothes. I asked her to get out & she didn't move at all, said nothing, just stood there watching me. So I repeated for her to get out & she finally did. Just as I finished dressing, she pops back in and puts $5 on the table (my change). At this point, I was genuinely unsure whether to tip her or not. You're prob reading this thinking, "hell no, just get out!" Which I was, but then I also felt bad for her bc I'm clearly deranged & have a soft spot for Asian women who assault me... so reluctantly I pulled out a $20 and gave it to her. As I tried to leave, she literally blocked me & put her hand out asking for more. WHAT IN THE ACTUAL F**K?! She said, "only $20? At least $20 more! I gave good massage!" I was just in shock & I told her to get out of my way so I could leave. Keep in mind, I tipped 20% for a massage that I never got, was basically sexually assaulted & now she's asking for more?!? I was fuming but did my best to stay cool, so I put my hands in my pockets and told her once again to move & she stepped to the side so I opened the door and walked down the dark hallway toward the exit with her hot on my tail. I kid you not, I thought she was gonna stab me in the back or call for back up bc she was mumbling something in her native language. So when I got to the lobby, no one was there & it didn't even cross my mind to get my $ back... I knew I just needed to leave before it could escalate. Definitely still worth the $50, and my masseur Jack did a great job with pressure, being careful with an injury, and making sure I was comfortable. You have to let them know where to focus/exclude. Regardless of the language barrier, I suggest communicating anyways or else you'll come out of there more injured. I almost wished I didn't understand Chinese while I was here. Initially, it was kind of fun understanding the people who worked here. A group of my friends and I came here to get our foot massaged. We were looking at the selection of services. The lady who was at the front desk said to the other person there in Chinese, "I don't know what they want to get done..." I told them in Chinese that we wanted to get the most basic service. We went inside and prepared to get the service. My person comes in and I greet her in Chinese. After five minutes into our massage, she yells at the other two people who are working on my friends to hurry up because according to her, ten minutes has gone by and they should be farther along in the massage. The other two guys are like, "only five minutes have passed... what is the hurry?" My lady then tries to end about eight minutes early and the manager was like "Hey, give them more time." She was like, "time is already up." Business wasn't even that busy. In fact, we were the only ones there next to one other guy. It wasn't like she needed to skimp us on the time. When it came time to paying the bill, I gave them $60. They needed to give us $15 in change back. I figured a $9 tip was plenty. It was about 24% tip. The lady who worked on me kept saying in Chinese, "Just take $15 and don't give them any change.. That is our tip." In my head, I was like "Seriously? You know I'm Chinese and you're being this rude in my face?" You can't demand that I give you a 35% tip... that is ridiculous. I was super annoyed after the massage. I'd been here twice before and had great massages, so I'm truly bummed to report that this third time was TERRIBLE. First off, they kept pointing to the $30 and up choices on the massage options, and I repeatedly told them no, I want the $20 like I said on the phone when making the reservation. Finally after a few minutes, they caved to the $20, but I also feel like they deliberately lessened the quality of the massage because I wouldn't pay that extra 10 bucks. My masseuse wasn't as thorough as the ones I've had previously--no hand massage, she was digging into my muscles painfully even after I'd asked for a softer touch, and the massage was less than an hour. My boyfriend, who typically loves to have a deeper massage, had to tell his masseuse to lighten up her touch, too, which was surprising. He woke up this morning in a lot of pain, WHICH SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN AFTER GETTING A MASSAGE. Lesson learned: I get what I pay for. We both received the head-to-toe foot massage, which was $20 for 1 hour (I saw a Yelp check-in for $20, but seems pointless if it's already advertised as $20). Like all Chinese foot massages, you get massaged on a massage bed in a room with multiple other people. I could also hear noise from the streets outside, but I wasn't exactly expecting the most relaxing and serene massage. My fiance and I both enjoyed our massages. The pressure from both massage therapists was strong and just right. The only thing I found odd was that the guy who massaged me asked me if I wanted to take off my shirt to get the oil massage on my back--I told him to just lift up my shirt when the time came to give me the oil massage. I went for a real massage but it felt like the "massage therapist" was trying to give me another type of massage if you know what I mean. She started with no introduction. No questions about pressure at the beginning which I thought was pretty standard with massages. She asked me to get completely naked in the middle of the massage which was weird seeing as how I obviously left my shorts on intentionally. And the whole massage was just her running her hands back and forth without any type of technique. I don't know why I stayed for the whole thing because I was uncomfortable the entire time but as I was leaving the room the lady was standing right outside the room and asked me for a tip. For only $50 plus gratuity I felt like this was a great deal. If you've never been to Chinese foot spa: first you undress to the waist, and lay face-up on the table under a sheet. You soak your feet in hot water while the massage starts on your scalp, neck, and arms for 30 min. I really appreciated how they went to town on my neck! Then your feet come out of the hot water tub and you get a 30 minute foot reflexology massage. Finally you flip over and the last 30 min is back/full body massage. They have some tricks along the way like hot towels, hot stones, climbing onto the table and jamming their elbows into your knots... all the good stuff. read more

I woke myself up to the sound of me snoring, and I never snore or fall asleep during a massage. I've noticed that massage therapists elsewhere are usually very rough with my back, and I can't tolerate it since I have a dislocated rib from a car accident a few years ago. Some people are so round, it feels like they're jumping on my back or trying to fight me. And it's so painful and unbearable. But when Steven massages my back, he was gentle yet firm. For the first time ever I didn't have to tell my masseuse to lessen the pressure or be more gentle. He was even able to pop my dislocated rib back in place! You walk in, tell what service you want and go into the back room. There's 5 low beds laid out in a dark room. I had the place to myself for the first 45 min which was awesome. Soak your feet in a tub while the lady rubs your face, head, ears, neck, and upper shoulders. Then she moves to your feet and lower legs. Towards then end I flipped over and she worked some kind of magic on my back and shoulders. I'd actually like to go back for an hour of that, it hurt so good. Definitely wear shorts or pants you can pull up above the knee and a tank top. I wore at tshirt and she had me remove it at the end, but it would have been more comfortable to have it off when she was working on my neck/shoulders in the beginning. It was a little distracting when new people walked in and got set up at the end, the staff was really quiet, but it's dark in there and there's music playing so it's easy to get past. I came in today to give this place a shot. After working an 8hr shift yesterday, I was in desperate need of a foot spa. I wanted to find something close to home, and $20 an hour (since my regular place now charges $23). And man oh man, this was the BEST $20 I've EVER spent! Especially since it was an hour! At first I thought the guy was rushing my hour long massage because he moved from my head, shoulders, arms, and straight to my feet within minutes. Which I didn't really mind at first because my dogs were barking! But omg, he worked magic with those knuckles. As he was working on my left foot - I seriously couldn't wait til he started on my right! I thought my massage was nearly over once he had me turn over (because that's usually the case at other places I've been to), but little did I know he'd work on the knots in my shoulders AND crack my back. I was also surprised when he lifted up the back of my shirt to fully massage my back, and even ended it with a nice hot stone rub (with oil)!!! AMAZING, AMAZING JOB PETER! I WILL be back!!! Best bang for your buck right here! I tipped him $7. He applied the perfect amount of pressure and I was in a waaay better mood throughout the rest of the day. I came here for my first massage ever and had a good experience. I give it four solid stars for delivering exactly what I expected from a 60 minute massage for $20. The group massage room is almost completely dark and has a calming atmosphere with soft music. The other people are barely noticeable. The massage on my feet, legs, hands, and arms was very similar to what I've experienced when getting a pedicure/manicure. Brief, lighter pressure, feel-good relaxation. The massage on my shoulders, neck, and back was much more intense, which I appreciated. It might be too intense for some, so consider asking for lighter pressure if you prefer. I was surprised to see it seems to be the norm to take off your clothes here. My perception is that most foot massage places don't do this. However, I was prompted to take off my shirt, and I didn't mind. The people around me had taken theirs off as well. It helped a lot with the massage, so I would recommend doing so. I was scolded for wearing a tight sports bra, which I did not take off, so make sure you wear something that's flexible to make it easier. They're very professional and hold up towels around you while changing (even though it's dark anyway), to ensure it's as private as possible. Tips on how to prepare: Wear loose, stretchy, light clothing. Think shorts, yoga pants, warm-up pants, tank top, t-shirt. Understand your hair will get messy and a bit greasy from the head massage. They massage the whole head, so it's best to have your hair undone and flexible. Plan to take a shower afterwards, because you might want to wash off the lotions, clean your hair, and change into fresh clothes. Expect a quick drop-in type of service. This is not a highly relaxing, drawn-out massage experience. They get you on a table as soon as you enter, the massage is timed down to the minute, and you're out immediately. Cash only, and I gave the recommended $10 tip. It's completely fair. Call ahead of time for availability. This place is great! Foot Massage? Hah! For $20 you get an hourlong full body massage in a lazy boy recliner that flattens onto a massage table and includes a foot bath and a cup of tea. When I was there I saw Amy and she was fantastic. Better than my chiropractor. No joke. Let me make it clear, this is a LEGIT massage, and it is great! I always tip $10 and feel a little bit guilty but please give it a try. A once a month visit to a place like this would add years to a person's life. No joke. An hour foot message is $20 and comes with like 10-15min foot message after a foot bath and a 45min full body message. They expect a tip and should get one because they really do make the achy body feel better. They will find every knot and message it out.
