I did the 75 min reflexology and back massage, which I booked so I could use the SpaFinder gift certificate I was given. Booking was pretty easy and so was using the gift card at the end. (Which I was grateful for since using gift cards like this can be dicey.) The space is gorgeous, relaxing and serene. Although she was late to the appointment, April was very skilled and the massage itself was great. Based on the description of the service, I was expecting it to be more foot reflexology focused with some overall back/body massage at the end, but it was pretty much the complete opposite. This was my first visit to HHM therapy, and it was incredible. The waiting room is very welcoming, peaceful, and relaxing with books, candles and objects that invite you to begin your experience right there. I was already in a different frame of mind when April invited me to her massage room. Everything people say about her is true. She knows her practice well. I chose the medical massage, for 1.5 hours. She listened carefully and went right to work on my problem areas, loosening tight muscles, increasing range of motion, and making sure to return to the areas that needed more work. I left feeling lighter, looser, and happier, with much less pain than when I arrived. I have been without an expert masseuse for 10 years, but now I've found one. I didn't find that easy with other sites. The location is in an office building in Mission Valley and it had a lot of parking. I booked with April a Healing Hands session. I have a lot of tension and tightness on my shoulders and legs. April was very gentle yet strong and worked out my tough spots. I had a lot of knots in my upper back that she had to work on. My wife and I booked a morning appointment days in advance . We arrived 15 mins early to fill out the forms. The other therapist came in as we were waiting for the owner April to arrive. We waited 30 mins, and she has not shown up. The other therapist apologized on are behalf. We are visiting out of town and we're on a schedule. We left, but this was very unprofessional. As we left she tried to call and reschedule to a later time. As her excuse was her alarm didn't go off. We denied and found another place. Take note, if you have a habit of being late constantly please realize that this is your job. We are the clients even if you're the owner. It's very inconsiderate to others and takes away from peoples schedules visiting or not. read more

Is it possible to give a 0? I found this place through Yelp. It seemed like she had great reviews, but I did read read one that said she is often late. So I made an appointment online for today Sunday. I got there about 5 minutes early and went into the building. It turns out that there is a church service 3 doors down from the massage office on Sundays. And the music is REALLY loud. Then I waited for 15 minutes past the time my appointment was supposed to start and still no-one showed. I tried calling and left a message. Then she texted me and said that she had thought my appointment was at 11:30, not 11, but was on her way. By then the person she shares an office with had shown up and let me in. The music from the church was still really loud inside the office. It's not that I mind music, but it's not terribly relaxing for a mellow massage vibe. At 11:35 I finally decided to leave. Even if she thought that my appointment was at 11:30 instead of 11 she was still late. So yah! Not a great way to run a business. And seriously don't go on a Sunday unless you are ready to rock out to Jesus music while you get a massage. I'll be looking to get an appointment elsewhere. read more

I wanted to surprise my boyfriend with a relaxing couples massage down in San Diego for our anniversary/valentines trip, & through checking SpaFinder I came across HHM Therapy. I'm so glad I did! I loved the energy and environment of this place, it's small but instantly puts you in a calming, smooth feel. Both April and Lily were amazing! They made sure to ask us for areas of focus, pressure preferences, if we had any issues or recommendations, which let us know they were attentive and accommodating to our wants/needs. The massage itself, beautifully done! They were very careful but still managed to tackle any tense areas they sensed. The hot stones they used were heated to a perfect temperature. They played what sounded like meditational music on low in the background, just making the experience even more relaxing.
