Annie, following up after yesterday's massage. I am amazed at how well you find tight areas without me even having to tell you. Today I am walking taller and slept so well Thank you read more

Phenomenal massage from Annie! I was sore after my flight and walking 20k steps so I wanted a good massage. I am sure glad I found her! Top notch professional with great technique! Her dog is so nice too. I really enjoyed playing with him. Very rare breed. The room is very comfy. They have two rooms. One is ice cold. I recommend the colder room. The massage table comfy. I would definitely come by and give her a try. When I am San Diego this will be my go to for massages! Thanks again for the amazing experience! read more

Emerald Massage Therapy - Massage Near Me - San Diego, California

The short of it: outstanding. (& I'm a real massage snob) Came to San Diego for a work trip and looked up massage places. I saw this was nearby and had good reviews. So I booked the earliest appointment that worked. I saw a lot of other reviews pointed out that it's inside the Westin, which is true. But they texted me very clear instructions on how to find them so I had no issues there at all. The establishment was impeccably clean. The staff was extraordinarily professional and well trained. Because of a scheduling hiccup, I ended up having two different massage therapist, but both of them were amazing. Truly. I have a regular massage therapist I see at home in New Orleans, so I try not to vary too much. But I end up traveling a lot for work. They did not disappoint. But knots in my shoulders and neck are much improved. If and when I come back to San Diego, I would go out of my way to book with them again read more

Was presently surprised by this place. I found them on Yelp because I needed a massage walking distance from my house. It's not a typical Asian massage spot. My guy was very strong and did a great job and it was not expensive. read more

Emerald Massage Therapy - This is Taco, he greeted us with a wiggling butt and friendly vibes - Massage Near Me - San Diego, California

This was my first visit to Emerald and I strongly recommend it. My massage specialist was Annie and I would definitely come back the next time I'm in San Diego. Before the massage, she asked if I had any areas that she needed to focus on. I had tightness in my left shoulder and my right knee had been giving me some pain. The overall massage was excellent, she applied the right amount of pressure and the 2 areas that I was having trouble with, afterwards I felt the tightness and pain was not what it was before, if anything I felt more flexibility. In addition, Annie was very professional and courteous. read more

One of the best massage massages I've ever had. The 90 minutes is completely worth it! Easy to book online and great availability.

Same day couples massage was amazing. The spa was easy to find with the instructions and the inside was so cute. My husband and I asked for firm and medium pressure and it was perfect. Highly recommend! read more

Peter and Lucy! Lucy and Peter! I booked one hour massages for myself and my daughter. I had Peter and she had Lucy. They were both AMAZING! We just got out of our sessions and I feel like I'm floating. My daughter agrees that this is one of the best massages she has ever had. They were both so kind and extremely professional. Peter's hands were softer than a baby's butt. They felt like silk. He applied just the right amount of pressure. It was perfect! Lucy was so communicative with my daughter. She made sure pressure was good and that she was comfortable. The room we were in was so tastefully decorated. Lighting was perfect and the soft music helped me relax. I recommend Emerald Massage Therapy to anyone and everyone looking to relax and rejuvenate! Peter and Lucy are my heroes! read more

The business is located inside the Westin Hotel, on the fourth floor. We did street parking a couple blocks away and followed the instructions given to us. I was excited for my birthday massage and it was a letdown for the most part. We booked for a 90min couple's massage and they asked us what kind of pressure we both liked. I asked for medium on my back and firm on my legs and my husband asked for medium. Based on our answers, I assumed that the two masseuse assigned themselves to us accordingly. My masseuse was the older female and within the first 15min, I was ready to leave. I started off face down and she noticed a few knots on neck and shoulder area but then had me turn over onto my back after a short while of massaging there. I was confused but complied. She then started massaging down the middle of my breasts and then my stomach. I had to ask her to stop massaging my stomach. Then she started massaging my arms but it wasn't even deep long strokes, just a pinching motion with her hands. The kicker was when she was whipping my arm up and down like it was a rope. She did both arms and then when she got to my left leg, she did the pinching motion again along with some other random strokes. Somehow she massaged so high up my leg, her hands grazed my vagina!! I flinched and moved my body away. I'm sure it was an accident but still .. like what the hell? Within the 15-20mins, I asked her at least 3-4x to add more pressure and she would apply medium pressure and then go down to light-medium pressure. She was surprised by my request and kept commenting that she doesn't usually have this problem with people. I am shocked because I usually have to either ask people for less pressure or ask them only 1-2x for more pressure during the whole session, not this constant asking I had to do with her within the 15-20min with her. I knew I would have been more upset if I tolerated this entire massage and told her politely and embarrassingly that this massage was not working for me. The younger female masseuse (the owner) thanked me for speaking up and offered to switch. I reluctantly agreed but honestly felt bad because I didn't want my husband to endure the older female masseuse. I actually wanted to leave but I was embarrassed already about making things more awkward so I said Ok since my husband was ok with switching. The owner had me turn over back onto my stomach so I was face down and I realized she was about to step onto my back when I felt her foot on me. I asked her politely not to and she complied. I wish this was discussed prior the massage. The owner was much better than the older female masseuse, she had long deep strokes and used her elbows and the heel of her hands than the pinching motion. I had her for the remainder of the massage and only had to ask her 2x for more pressure, and at one point, even asked for a little bit less pressure. She maintained her pressure throughout the massage. She did my back and the back of my legs. I'm bummed that my right leg and both front of my legs didn't get addressed but I am glad I did not have to sit through the whole massage feeling like it was a complete waste of my time and money. My husband agreed that the other lady was not as good and he didn't like how she whipped his arms up and down either. 90min massages are pricey nowadays and so I want to leave feeling happy and money well spent but we left feeling so-so about the experience. read more

My feet were hurting and I was having a hard time walking and I had tightness in my shoulders, neck, and arms. I got the 90 minute massage with Annie and she gave me the best massage ever! Afterwards, I told her I didn't even need to tell her what hurt and she said she knows all the tightness. Will definitely come back. Highly recommend. read more

It's rare that I treat myself to a massage. But I've been hitting it hard at the gym. That and my job as a hairstylist got my body so tight. I broke down and yelped to find a massage near my salon downtown. Omg. Peter was so good. It was everything I needed. He is very professional at understanding what yiur body needs. He has the perfect pressure. I guess I'll have to make this a habit and I'll tell all my clients to come see you too. What a treat. I didn't know I was going to get the best massage of my life. Tx I'll be back. read more

2hr couples massage was AMAZING and what I needed on a nice staycation weekend in SD. Will be back again when in the area!!

Bing does incredible Chinese massages I feel like a new person after attending a long conference!

Got a last minute couple massage. Was very nice and relaxing and reasonably priced. When I'm town will do again.

Amazing massage. Amazing price. Will go back for another 90 minutes massage. One of the best massages.

I was very pleased with the skill set of Anne at Emerald Massage. She was able to do a thorough job of massaging my muscles without a lot of PAIN. Her ability to stand on my back and use her feet to relax my muscle tension was heavenly. I plan on becoming a regular customer of Anne's based on how good I felt after a sixty minute session . I can say without reservation that I got my moneys worth and that isn't always the case. read more

I came to Emerald very last minute while at a conference in San Diego after reading some yelp reviews about how great this place was. Don't let the office tower fool you - this was on par with some of the best spa massages I've ever received. Annie gave me an absolutely amazing massage and was so lovely and professional. I recommended this location to friends and family in the area and will absolutely go back when I'm in town again! read more

Annie is absolutely amazing! I decided to book a massage during some downtime during a business trip. This place stood out on yelp and their website was very easy to navigate through and book an appointment. Emerald Day Spa is located in the same building as the Westin Hotel and was a 13min walk from where I was staying. Annie was my massage therapist. She was very polite and pleasant to work with. I booked a 90min deep tissue Ashiatsu massage. Annie was very considerate with asking me if the pressure was ok and if I needed anything. I felt very comfortable during my appointment. I definitely look forward to my next massage with Annie if I am ever back in town. read more

Such a wonderful massage company and Annie is just the sweetest! My partner and I surprised our moms with a massage/spa day, and Annie (the owner) took such good care of them. The business is located in a hotel, and you just give Annie a call when you've arrived so she'll come get you. Communication was efficient and easy, and while I can't speak for the massage myself, both moms gave raving reviews. Prices are also extremely reasonable, so be sure to tip! Thank you again Annie for the lovely experience! read more

Found this place on yelp. I was skeptical at first because I'm not a big fan of Chinese massage because I don't think they do well. But this place was wonderful. I think her name was Xiaoqian (excuse my misspelling), she was very nice and flexible with what we wanted. We did a couples massage and ear cleaning, this plan was last min, we had just came back from Big Bear. The massage was great, rolled out knots, and some stretching. They really do put the effort to release any tension! My husband also loved it. I wish we got that gentleman's name ,he had glasses. We love them both and WILL be making this spot our regularly visits. read more

This was the best massage I've ever had! I came to SD for work. I searched for massage places near my hotel but not one had the hours I needed. Annie was lovely. She is only a 6 minute walk from the Carte hotel. I would definitely make a point to see here each time I'm in town. read more

After a long and sleepless flight into SD I was in search for a reputable masseuse. Thank god I found Emerald Massage Therapy. Annie was my masseuse and she was attentive to my needs - deep tissue massage. Her professionalism and knowledge in ironing out the tight muscles relieved the stress from my body. Her work environment was pleasant and inviting. It was a tranquil vibe and experience. If you want an affordable and effective massage then this is the place! read more

Annie is the best masseuse therapist ! I highly recommend her!!! If you need Service: From the onset, Annie was very kind and has such a calm nature about her. I recently had wisdom teeth removal surgery and because of all the medications and anesthesia I was under, I had been unable to sleep for three days, which led to incredibly painful upper back problems. I told Annie my problem areas and she listened to my situation and really catered the session to my needs in my upper back. I chose this place because I needed something right away and there seems to be a lot of availability and I'm so happy to have found it! The back massages are incredible- I felt such relief even in the beginning and by the end I I wanted to tear up from how much tension had been released. Within an hour, she tried her best to get the knots out, and even gave me some infrared light during the massage to help speed up the healing process. I was also grateful for her accommodating and being able to add my last minute request for muscle tension oil (as I was really feeling more pain in the morning before my session). I believe this massage therapy is one of the most unique I have experienced because her techniques not only include a certain massage technique, but also incorporate some stretching (I see the similarities with my yoga classes). Part of the massage technique is also the masseuse will utilize the bed's bars and step on your back, which I really needed for all the tension I had in my upper back: we even heard my back crack a few times, which I have never had before!! it was so relieving! There's also a nice face and scalp massage towards the end. As aforementioned, I recently had my wisdom teeth removal, so she was very gentle and only caressed the jaw area but still gave me a nice massage on my temples, neck and shoulders. Pricing: The prices are one of the MOST AFFORDABLE in the area, and San Diego in general. At $80 for an hour of massage that is a price that you cannot beat (most are at least 100+ nowadays for an hr service). That is closer the price my mom would pay years ago. I appreciate the affordability and accessibility for such a great service. By the way, there are also add-ons like hot stones, oils for muscle tension, etc. for $10+depending on the add on. Ambiance: located in the Westin hotel in downtown- go through the office lobby to the left when you enter, then wait in that area and call when you have arrived where the masseuse will meet you to take you upstairs. The massage room is dim, simple and elegant, smells nice (not to fragrant), and has calming Zen music playing. There are double beds for if/when one wants to book a couples/duo massage. There is also some nice candy by the entrance; a nice touch for on your way home. Overall, affordable and one of the best in SD. Everyone and anyone who needs pain relief or just a great massage needs to book here with Annie !!! Let her know what you need, and she will definitely cater the session to you. You can easily call and access her and even let her know ahead of time if there are specific needs to address. I will definitely be back, and maybe even bring my husband and mom for a treat here. read more

Absolutely amazing service! One of the best massages I have ever had. Amy was amazing

Yelp can be hit or miss most of the time. In this case, it was a hit! Will be a repeat customer when visiting SD! I have been to many great massage spots world wide but Emerald Massage San Diego is different. They are not the typical Chinese massage accupressure reflexology front but cater to various styles of healing. Well trained massage therapists are hard to find and in conjunction offering a modern approach. The business is very professional, clean, and above all also treated their toughest customers! My kids below 9 years old! Annie and the team were amazing. We all walked out rejuvenated! I come from a martial arts and athletic background since I was very young. Jiu Jitz and Muy Thai/Boxers look no further! I do not leave many reviews I just want to keep this place a secret when I visit SD. Thank you so much Annie and Team! read more
