The business is located inside the Westin Hotel, on the fourth floor. We did street parking a couple blocks away and followed the instructions given to us. I was excited for my birthday massage and it was a letdown for the most part. We booked for a 90min couple's massage and they asked us what kind of pressure we both liked. I asked for medium on my back and firm on my legs and my husband asked for medium. Based on our answers, I assumed that the two masseuse assigned themselves to us accordingly. My masseuse was the older female and within the first 15min, I was ready to leave. I started off face down and she noticed a few knots on neck and shoulder area but then had me turn over onto my back after a short while of massaging there. I was confused but complied. She then started massaging down the middle of my breasts and then my stomach. I had to ask her to stop massaging my stomach. Then she started massaging my arms but it wasn't even deep long strokes, just a pinching motion with her hands. The kicker was when she was whipping my arm up and down like it was a rope. She did both arms and then when she got to my left leg, she did the pinching motion again along with some other random strokes. Somehow she massaged so high up my leg, her hands grazed my vagina!! I flinched and moved my body away. I'm sure it was an accident but still .. like what the hell? Within the 15-20mins, I asked her at least 3-4x to add more pressure and she would apply medium pressure and then go down to light-medium pressure. She was surprised by my request and kept commenting that she doesn't usually have this problem with people. I am shocked because I usually have to either ask people for less pressure or ask them only 1-2x for more pressure during the whole session, not this constant asking I had to do with her within the 15-20min with her. I knew I would have been more upset if I tolerated this entire massage and told her politely and embarrassingly that this massage was not working for me. The younger female masseuse (the owner) thanked me for speaking up and offered to switch. I reluctantly agreed but honestly felt bad because I didn't want my husband to endure the older female masseuse. I actually wanted to leave but I was embarrassed already about making things more awkward so I said Ok since my husband was ok with switching. The owner had me turn over back onto my stomach so I was face down and I realized she was about to step onto my back when I felt her foot on me. I asked her politely not to and she complied. I wish this was discussed prior the massage. The owner was much better than the older female masseuse, she had long deep strokes and used her elbows and the heel of her hands than the pinching motion. I had her for the remainder of the massage and only had to ask her 2x for more pressure, and at one point, even asked for a little bit less pressure. She maintained her pressure throughout the massage. She did my back and the back of my legs. I'm bummed that my right leg and both front of my legs didn't get addressed but I am glad I did not have to sit through the whole massage feeling like it was a complete waste of my time and money. My husband agreed that the other lady was not as good and he didn't like how she whipped his arms up and down either. 90min massages are pricey nowadays and so I want to leave feeling happy and money well spent but we left feeling so-so about the experience. read more

But they texted me very clear instructions on how to find them so I had no issues there at all. The establishment was impeccably clean. The staff was extraordinarily professional and well trained. Because of a scheduling hiccup, I ended up having two different massage therapist, but both of them were amazing. Truly. I have a regular massage therapist I see at home in New Orleans, so I try not to vary too much. But I end up traveling a lot for work. They did not disappoint. Found this place on yelp. I was skeptical at first because I'm not a big fan of Chinese massage because I don't think they do well. But this place was wonderful. I think her name was Xiaoqian (excuse my misspelling), she was very nice and flexible with what we wanted. Annie is the best masseuse therapist ! I highly recommend her!!! If you need Service: From the onset, Annie was very kind and has such a calm nature about her. I recently had wisdom teeth removal surgery and because of all the medications and anesthesia I was under, I had been unable to sleep for three days, which led to incredibly painful upper back problems. I told Annie my problem areas and she listened to my situation and really catered the session to my needs in my upper back. I chose this place because I needed something right away and there seems to be a lot of availability and I'm so happy to have found it! The back massages are incredible- I felt such relief even in the beginning and by the end I I wanted to tear up from how much tension had been released. Within an hour, she tried her best to get the knots out, and even gave me some infrared light during the massage to help speed up the healing process. I was also grateful for her accommodating and being able to add my last minute request for muscle tension oil (as I was really feeling more pain in the morning before my session). I believe this massage therapy is one of the most unique I have experienced because her techniques not only include a certain massage technique, but also incorporate some stretching (I see the similarities with my yoga classes). Part of the massage technique is also the masseuse will utilize the bed's bars and step on your back, which I really needed for all the tension I had in my upper back: we even heard my back crack a few times, which I have never had before!! it was so relieving! There's also a nice face and scalp massage towards the end. As aforementioned, I recently had my wisdom teeth removal, so she was very gentle and only caressed the jaw area but still gave me a nice massage on my temples, neck and shoulders. Pricing: The prices are one of the MOST AFFORDABLE in the area, and San Diego in general. At $80 for an hour of massage that is a price that you cannot beat (most are at least 100+ nowadays for an hr service). That is closer the price my mom would pay years ago. I appreciate the affordability and accessibility for such a great service. By the way, there are also add-ons like hot stones, oils for muscle tension, etc. for $10+depending on the add on. Ambiance: located in the Westin hotel in downtown- go through the office lobby to the left when you enter, then wait in that area and call when you have arrived where the masseuse will meet you to take you upstairs. The massage room is dim, simple and elegant, smells nice (not to fragrant), and has calming Zen music playing. There are double beds for if/when one wants to book a couples/duo massage. There is also some nice candy by the entrance; a nice touch for on your way home. Overall, affordable and one of the best in SD. Everyone and anyone who needs pain relief or just a great massage needs to book here with Annie !!! Let her know what you need, and she will definitely cater the session to you. You can easily call and access her and even let her know ahead of time if there are specific needs to address. Went for a couples massage with my partner and this place does not run properly. There is no intake form - they don't get to know you, talk about areas you need more attention, or prior injured areas you want to avoid. No discussion at all Then a woman lead us to a room and I asked if it was one at a time b/c only she was there, she said no there's another person. Thought it was odd that the second person didn't introduce themselves but went along I guess. I saw a woman walk by to the bathroom and assumed it was her. 10mins in the massage I hear a man ask if the pressure is ok. I thought I had the woman from earlier. They DID NOT ASK MY CONSENT TO HAVE A MAN MASSAGE ME. They must at least inform people and give them the option to decline. For this reason alone I would never go back. The room was very cold. No heated massage tables. They rub you with cold oils, then a wet cloth, so I was laying there cold until he covered me back with the sheet. He basically only massaged the back of me. He asked me to turn over to my front and rubbed my arms and that was it. No front of legs or feet at all. Never used enough oil so my skin pulled here and there. He also scratched/rubbed my head which was terrible as a woman with thick hair. It was all tangled and full of knots and oil from his hands after. After having excellent massages in the past I can tell he just wasn't hitting those pressure points. Felt like knuckles and elbows rubbing my back. At the end I was just wanted to leave. They stood in the doorway asking for a tip. I wasn't going to leave one but I felt so uncomfortable b/c they kept asking so we gave one and left. I do not recommend this place. read more
