Time for a little review update. With a change in schedule, over the past few months I had the opportunity to try a different Massage Therapist at the Knotstop -Itzel! She is a true healer, and is very gifted in treating lingering injuries. I've been grappling with arthritis in my hands, and have an old shoulder injury that keeps dragging me down. Itzel does great pressure point work and also active stretches that have been very beneficial to my healing. She is professional, courteous, and superhumanly strong! I'm very grateful to have exceptional care at the Knotstop with Itzel and Ryan! Pro tip, treat yourself to the membership. I get the 90 minute massage deal for $135 for deep tissue, you can't beat it! Also, for a more chill experience, check out when you check in! That way you don't have to go to the front desk twice. I square up at the front desk when I check in, that way, I don't have to go back after my massage and deal with any details. I've been here twice now, as have a couple of my friends and we all have had a "meh" experience. My main issue is with the front desk. The first time I came here over a year ago, the front desk guy wasn't friendly and it didn't start my massage in a relaxing headspace. Today, the front desk had two people there and after I was checked in, neither of them thought to tell me there's a lounge that I can sit in while I wait. I'm very obviously nine months pregnant and it's hard to walk down the block at this point. After you check in, you're in this tight spaced gift shop area with no seating and I wasn't sure what to do until I saw a guy in a walker make his way through a room that said lounge across the top. After my massage was done today, I was back in that little gift shop area waiting to check out and pay for my massage. The lady checking out before me took a while so I was just standing there, exhausted with nowhere to sit. I very clearly remember giving the gift card number I was given when I reserved the appointment online, so it was also annoying that when I finally got up to pay, they dint have any of this information. I've been coming here randomly for some time. Recently I have been trying cupping for my chronic neck & back pain. The staff here is really nice & welcoming. The place is very cozy. I've been going to Rebecca for my massage & cupping and she's been so knowledgeable. She helped ease my nervousness with cupping and I really like it & enjoy it. It does slightly hurt at first but we started out at the low level and worked my way up. I feel relaxed and it does help ease the tension I have in my neck and back. But she did say I need to do daily work to fix my neck issues. Which is a work in progress. I would recommend this place. I added cupping to my massage for the first time and it feels like that helped with certain stress/tense spots on my back- I'm so happy they offer it as a "add-on". My husband got me a giftcard for a 60 minute massage and a facial, so I called last week and booked an appointment for this afternoon for both services. I came here for a 60 minute full body deep tissue massage and had a great massage. At first, they didn't know if it were for 60 or 90 minute massage. Mateo was very warm and friendly and asked if I had areas to focus on or avoid, I told him I'm training for a half marathon and just ran 11 miles 2 days ago, so still feeling some muscle soreness and want to work out the lymphatics and lactic acid, with a heavy pressure, focusing on legs and upper back. He did a wonderful job, and asked if the pressure and spots felt OK. I went to check out and was expecting to get a facial but they told me to come back another time. It was a minor inconvenience, but I think it could have been better communicated prior to the appointment since I called specifically stating I wanted both done. If I were coming from far away or from out of town, I'd be more upset. I tipped Mateo and booked the facial for another date. Parking can be tricky in this area. First time, forgot my cupping, but charged me for it at the end-- they took it off when I clarified that it was not given to me, the second time, I had to remind the therapist and confirm I had cupping-- they weren't aware/forgot, and although I did notify them I was running a little late, I did pay for a 60min massage-- and it ended up being about 45-50ish min. Wow. Back in April I had a gross massage "therapist" who stunk like vape and coughed and hacked. Then I got lucky and had a great -- the best -- massage therapist, until he recently left for greener pastures (can't blame him). Oh, and when I had booked with the great therapist and he left, this place had the nerve to book me with someone else without even the courtesy of telling me the good therapist was leaving...or even ASKING me who I'd prefer to book with, instead. I just cancelled. Then today, after days of a stiff neck, I had yet another therapist. It was the most uncomfortable massage I've ever had. I left with finger marks on my skin. and sore shoulders and neck. His hands were rough with hang nails or cuticles or something. He kept doing this weird $h!t on my back with his forearms. I left worse than when I went in! Do they interview these people? Where do the GET these people? Why can't they keep the good therapists? So frustrating, spending so much money -- wasting so much money is more like it -- not to mention time. Is it really that hard to get a decent massage? I booked a massage for relaxation. Got there a bit early to fill out forms. They sent multiple text and email reminders I thought were slightly excessive. My masseur was over 10 min late, so the massage started almost 15 min late but ended on time. He seemed to be chewing gum which was a bit distracting but it was ok. They gave me a new customer discount so $79 for an hour wasn't bad. I've had better for sure but for the price it was ok. This is a painful review to write because when they stick to the schedule, and the therapist doesn't cancel, they have AMAZING services and great massages. Unfortunately, LAST MINUTE cancellations are given despite booking a massage MONTHS in advance. Tomorrow is my wife's birthday, and scheduled this massage a few months ago. Despite getting a confirmation text and email the other day....she got the call today to let her know that the massage therapist she booked is out of town. Great relaxing space! This place used to be the jam, but can never get appts anymore. My friend and I used to go to this one therapist, Gabriel, he was legit. He's an athlete so he understands the human body and sore points. Since Knotstop has reopened tho, I've never been able to get an appt w/ him. What's worse is the promo emails that Knotstop uses. It always has the auto-filled name of the therapist you used to see (see image). When you click through on the CTA button, you still have to go through their menu, select service, the therapist you're looking for. Every time I get to Gabriel's availability, the only availability is 2 weeks out at 9am on a Mon or Wed. When I've attempted to call, I'm placed on hold. It's just gone down hill to the point that my friend and I can't even get an appt and have been forced to look else where. Knotstop, our marketing tactic blows! This five star review is soley based on my masseuse, Xander. Last night's massage session was THE BEST! Xander really listened to me and my body. I love deep tissue massages and he was able to deliver. Xander released a few knots around my shoulders, lower back, and neck. He used a technique similar to accupunture, no needles, instead using his fingers tip to dig deep into my muscles...I moaned a few times and I was definitely drooling. It felt so amazing around the shoulder blades, down my spine, and the base of my head. If you enjoy deep tissue massages, I highly recommend Xander! Three stars for service. I called last week to reschedule my massage, the person that answered, answered laughing. okay I get it, you're having a good time, GREAT! but don't continue to laugh (giggle) as you assist a customer over the phone. I recently came in for a massage with Kyle. It was a different kind of massage and I remember during the massage he was pinching my feet by the toes quite hard. I left the massage and felt ok and just stayed home. That evening my foot really started to hurt and the next morning I couldn't put any pressure on my foot. I couldn't walk or stand. It's been a week and a half now and I am still off my feet and recovering. I went to the doctor to make sure my foot wasn't broken. The doctor said there was some damage to the tendons of my toe and would need to stay off my feet to recover. After going to the doctor, I called the Knotstop management to let them know what happened and was very disappointed in how they handled it. They just said they'll let the masseuse know what happened. No refunds, no discounts, nothing offered to try to make things better. I basically paid over $100 to get hurt and not walk for weeks. I didn't have any problems before the massage and definitely didn't do anything else to cause that damage. I've been going to Knotstop a few times now (with different masseuses) and was planning on coming back more regularly but I'll have to start looking for something else and now I'll never get a foot massage again because this was not worth it. Be careful coming here. Not worth getting hurt and paying for the pain. read more

I've been a member at the Knotstop for 6 months, and overall have had a great experience. I purchased the monthly massage membership, which costs around $80/month for a 1-hour session. The front desk team members are always really kind and accommodating. At first, I tried a few different therapists and didn't have the best experience. They just weren't the style of massage I preferred. I like neuromuscular, trigger point, and deep tissue because I have chronic migraines and a lot of neck pain. Then I found KIM. Kim is an incredible massage therapist and healer. She is intuitive and can feel what your body needs during that session and where the tension is. Her style is therapeutic but extremely effective. Kim is skilled in releasing muscle tension while keeping you relaxed. She would work on my neck and all the little nerves which is a really sensitive area but could get knots out without me feeling any cringing pain. I left every session feeling rejuvenated. I would highly recommend coming to the Knotstop to see Kim! read more

So impressed!! I have been in so much pain from a pinched nerve in my neck/shoulder/back for the past week and a half. I finally decided to go get some help. Booking was easy, price was great, they are open late so I could go after work and the shop and lounge are very cute. Claudio has 13 years of experience and is trained in medical massage and acupressure and I felt so lucky that I had randomly booked with him. I have had a lot of massages in my life and I think this might have been the best one I've ever had. Claudio evaluated me and immediately found all my major pain points and explained how they were all connected and how he would conduct the massage to help me. The massage helped SO much- he even found tense points in my hips and fingers to work out to improve the shoulder pain. I am able to turn my neck for the first time in a week.
