I've been a client for over 4yrs and I LOVE my weekly foot massages. Everyone is so nice and it feels soo good, that I am 'addicted' to them. My current massuese is Amanda and she is GREAT!! She has been carefully, and with strong hands, been tending to my poor old feet.I truly enjoy my time there and look forward to stopping by weekly. The prices are good and they all do an excellent job. read more

OK....Not at all the best massage you'll get but good enough for that price if you need a quick, decent, last-minute massage. It's a 3 star service but I gave em an extra star for the price (and cash discount) read more

I have been a client of Waring massage over 10 years. Excellent, kind and friendly massage therapy. They are wonderful. read more

Came here during daylight savings time. They were able to accommodate my partner & I one hour ahead of time since I mistook 9 am as 10 am. We've never had a chinese foot massage before so we were excited and nervous. "What if it wasn't as good as a thai massage?" was the question going through my head. But my husband felt that thai masseuse were a little hard on him (pressure-wise) because of his physique (a little bulky, particularly around the shoulders). When we arrived, we were expected to pay ahead of time, which we obliged. We decided on a combo massage because I wanted a back massage while my husband wanted a foot massage. After we paid, they took us to a room where they place our feet in warm water, then proceeded to dry & massage our foot. We sat there for 30 minutes before moving to another room for a full body massage. Maybe I'm biased since I am chinese but I definitely enjoy this type of massage more than a thai massage. Besides the lady at the front desk, the ladies who gave us massages spoke little to no English so it was a lot of gesturing when we spoke. When I told her that she was putting too much pressure on my back, I just said "ouch! Or ungh!!!" They also expected more than $20 for tip but other than that they were very pleasant and accommodating. There is plenty of parking and close to Brothers Restaurant if you feel like eating lunch/brunch after. This will definitely be our tradition every other month or at least every quarter. read more

Waring massage is a great place to get a great massage. They have great pricing and very clean and do great massage massages

I've had 2 massages here now and I think they are wonderful. They are always very kind and I feel so great and relaxed when I leave. This will be one of my regular stops when in the area. I love that you can just walk in without an appointment and get taken care of right away. For this second massage I would have liked a little more attention to my feet as I had asked for the 30min/30 min (half body and half foot massage) but ended up getting more the full body massage. It all worked out though and I feel great! read more

I thought this was Thai Style massage. Instead, it's Chinese. Thai Style massage is a an art known the world over. They know how to methodically and thoroughly de-kink a person. This place....seemed to be "fake Thai" -- including the poles over the table. But good grief, when she was using them, there was so much squeaking and even more troubling noises, I was afraid they would land on my head. She tried hard, but with a 2 hour massage where I said I needed attention to arms and legs--about 30 times--mostly she was doing the breaststroke on my back. After an hour of that, I asked for the manager to translate. Still....good grief. Extremely aggravating and annoy8ing. read more

After a long week of work and on a hunt for a good massage place, I decided to give Waring Massage Spa a shot! I made an appointment for a combo 30min body massage and 30min foot massage. The receptionist was able to get me scheduled right away, which was great! Upon walking in the spa, it's tidy, clean and the ambiance was very tranquil. They have you pay for the service upfront and have a pricing sheet listed for how much they charge for tips, (hopefully preferred). Minutes after paying, I was walked to my room. I had the first room closest to the reception table and even though it wasn't as loud as I anticipated to be, you could definitely hear customers/staff walking and talking. The massage was amazing but the more time passed, the more I started to realize that perhaps there was a miscommunication between the receptionist and the masseuse. Instead of receiving a combo 30min body and 30min foot massage, I got a 60min full body massage ($40 w/ cash, but I believe I was charged what I initially asked for). It's really bittersweet because I was looking forward to the foot massage most, especially since I am on my feet all day at work. I would highly recommend going over your service order with your masseuse and will definitely do this next time when I return. For the value, it's definitely worth coming in and they give you water after the massage. !!Tip: If you pay with cash, they charge you couple dollars less on their service. And if you check in, you get an additional free 5 mins! read more

Waring Massage Spa - Massage room - Massage Near Me - San Diego, California

10/10 massage from Amanda. Have had massages all over the world and for $60 better than some of the $160 resort massages I've paid for. They were able to fit me in last minute too. read more

Still 5 stars! Saw Lily today - she did such an amazing job! My entire back relaxed and popped today from a pretty amazing massage! She knew how to get in the areas that needed to be massaged - and since I like it medium-hard - she knew when to move so as to be tolerable and allow the movement to relax my spine. I carry A LOT of stress in the middle of my back, and she read my body, and her experience definitely parlayed into a really therapeutic - HIGHLY recommend! read more

I have been going to the spa for many months. They offered an hour long foot service for $30 and I would tip $10 (more than 30%). Because they ask for cash specifically, I would come ready with $40. Recently they increased their cash price to $40, so when I showed up I did not have cash for a tip. While embarrassed, I figured this was a one off and next time I would be aware and come prepared. As I left the shop and got to my car in the parking lot, an employee chased me down, yelling, "You tip, you tip!" She pulled on my sleeve and demanded I come back into the establishment. While tips are appreciated. I always believe them to be optional. This type of rude behavior and harassment of clients is unexpected and unacceptable. I will be finding another spa where I will leave my normal generous tip and appreciation. read more

I had high hopes for this place based on recommendations. Unfortunately I had a pretty negative experience. I had a combination foot and body massage. The foot massage wasn't much better than a pedicure massage. I was just ready for it to be over tbh. And the body massage - oh I wish I'd spoken up and just asked her to stop and left. I like a lot of pressure, but this was excessive. And not once did she ask. Additionally she just kept Rubbing the same place over and over without and kind of rhyme or reason. I felt uncomfortable with the amount of intimacy - at one point she pulled my underwear completely down. I was covered with the thinnest see through sheet and when I asked for a towel I was denied. Within a few hours my back felt bruised and I'm in quite a bit of pain. Today I have a migraine coupled with extreme neck pain. I'm going to have to visit the chiropractor to fix what was done. Please go elsewhere. read more

I went in with a migraine and it was gone when I left. I get massages here often and they are consistently very good. Highly recommended.

This place is a hidden gem! The best foot and full body massage I've had in a long time!

I came here for the 30 minute foot massage and 60 minute full body massage combo a few weeks back. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the place and enjoyed both massages from Kelly. Kelly did a great job and listened when I asked for more pressure. I can't tell you how often I've been disappointed by massages with too little pressure, but that was not the case with Kelly. The massage rooms are tidy and clean, which is always a good thing to see. They also have incredibly comfortable chairs for you to sit in during the foot massage. As others have mentioned there's a $2 charge for using a credit card, but they let me know that before they ran my card. The only thing that I wasn't too crazy about was the whole tipping thing that other folks mentioned. I don't think there's anything wrong with having a sign with a suggested tip amount, but it should be better displayed so customers can see it. I never even noticed the sign, but as I was filling in a tip amount (about 28%), the girl at the front stopped me and pointed to the sign. It made me feel like my generous tip was not appreciated and ended an otherwise great experience on a not so great note. I know the intention is to make sure the employees don't get stiffed but it really could be handled better. read more

Very clean facility, with more than reasonable prices. Conveniently located. Time to room after I arrived was less than 3minutes.

$25 for a foot massage sounded good to me, especially with my 39 other yelp peeps to vouch for it. I stumbled in with my sore gams from the multiple miles I ran this week, and wobbled in on my sore tooties from my 6+ inch pumps I wear everyday for work, so these stems were achin' for some massage therapy! I'm always down to try a new massage place, and Im glad I made the decision to give this place a try. Although I questioned who I was waiting for in the waiting room, but I was definitely greeted by a friendly and professional woman. The interior is outdated in decor, but seems very clean. Look, it's cheap, to the point, and well worth it. Check your snob at the door, and be polite while you communicate. These gals work very hard, and Im sure really appreciate your business. Save your complaints for someone else about the $2 cc fee, and their suggested $10 gratuity. read more

Waring Massage Spa - $25 foot massage! Waiting for the gal ... - Massage Near Me - San Diego, California

Working from home has been great with the exception of what my office setup at home has done to my posture. My neck and back have been pretty bad and Waring Massage has done wonders. I haven't gotten to the point to ask for anyone specific since all the massage therapists I have seen have been great. Thank you Waring Massage Spa! read more

Walked in for a 90minute full body massage that was well worth it! The linens and massage room was clean and well kept. The deep tissue massage was just the right pressure and smoothed out all my knots and soreness from weeks of heavy weight workouts and running. Masseuse was attentive to my key lower back muscle soreness when I informed her. The back and leg massage where the masseuse hangs from the ceiling bars was impressive. Only things that would've been better was: 1) massage table head rest needs softer cushioning. After 80min laying prone position, my face around eyes and forehead became annoyingly uncomfortable. 2) thin walls, so hall conversations are easily audible. 3) high tipping requirements Front Staff was also friendly. Overall though, I will come back again for the excellent massage and the close proximity to home. read more

Their person was new and didn't know what she was doing. There was no technique to what was happening. I hurt for a week after, I kept asking for lighter, but she was having difficulty understanding. I don't like that they make you change rooms half way through. I told the receptionist but she didn't seem very concerned. Friendly, but not apologetic. Positives, the room was clean and the room was dark. read more

They are amazing! Been a regular client for over 5 years. Please consider giving a bigger tip after your next session. Maybe ($20-$25+) per hour as they are working extra hard on our long overdue muscles. read more

I like this place. It is quiet and clean. The staff is friendly. I have been here several times already and have no problems. Prices are about on par with other places I have gone to. I like the fact that they are open relatively late. The foot massages are really good. I normally get a 30 minute foot massage and a 1 hour massage. Best thing in the world. I find it really relaxing. read more

First off, let me say that this business has two Yelp pages. I'm not sure why, but do your homework before making your decision based off of this page. I had a free afternoon and was looking for something to do. My friend and I decided on massages and I gave this place a call. Despite not having their own website, I was able to get good info from other Yelpers. $25 for a 60 minute reflexology massage is the way to go. It was about 30+ minutes on my feet, then the remainder of the time (they did a true hour!) for an over-the-clothes whole body massage. The place looked clean enough. For $25, it's not the Ritz. The massages were good enough. I'm not entirely sure the ladies were professionally trained, but they were good. The only thing that you might sketch on is the payment. They want payment up front, and they have "recommended" tip amounts. $10 for a 60-minute massage is fine with me. Plus there's a $2 credit card charge. So it was $72 for two of us for a full hour each = I'll be back! read more

I come here all the time with my boyfriend. Yo-yo and Linda are awesome !!! They stand on your back and are great at deep tissue massages. Linda is awesome! She is intuitive and knows exactly where to go for those knots. She is my absolute favorite person in the world ! read more

I'm so happy I found Waring Massage Spa!! Between my full-time desk job and my hospitality industry side hustle, my shoulders are often so tense it seems like they're trying to touch my ears. I come here for HEALING. They are so reasonably priced for such a great massage. Each masseuse has their own style and skill- You will not get the predictable boring massage choreography here! The one time I was dissatisfied with my massage, the Manager (or owner) made sure I had someone great the next time I came in. Their spa is ALWAYS clean and they have been incredible during the pandemic. As a high-risk person who relies on the healing of massage, I felt VERY comfortable in their hands. Down to the new vs used pens to sign your slip. They let me enjoy my massage and tip on my credit card slip after. I always go for the two-hour massages and they always treat me like family. I'm trying to tell you, I go often! lol! This is a safe establishment for women This place has open ceilings and sometimes the noise from hallway or lobby traffic can be distracting, but I've never had THAT big of an issue. It hasn't made me so much as reconsider my loyalty to this wonderful place. If you haven't been to Waring Massage Spa, CALL NOW! GO! They are incredible! They also take walk ins! read more

Waring Massage Spa - Me loving life - Massage Near Me - San Diego, California

The spa itself is clean and well maintained. My masseuse could have been better. Her feet massage was just basically rubbing lotion on my feet and legs--not much pressure or actual massaging of muscles. She was also stingy on the lotion so after awhile her rubbing (she uses a latex glove) began to burn a little. I couldn't wait for the feet "massage" to be over. She moved me to another room for the back portion of the massage. The back massage was a little better but not by much. I'm willing to give this place another try but different masseuse. read more

Creepy. They hire men off the street to give massage with no experience. I would not let the guy finish my massage he did not know what he was doing. When I complained the women behind the desk I believe the manager told me she just had hired him today off the street and thought he knew how to give a massage. She offered me a free massage next time. I am so creeped out that a man had his hands all over me and was hired off the street. Probably not Covid tested I will not be back even for a free massage. Do not go here. read more

Not a good foot massage, she rubbed my feet and didn't hit any pressure points. Don't waste your money. The rest of it was just her grabbing your skin and pushing on it. I will never go back to this place!! read more

Place looked clean and neat. The prices are nice but they require you to pay a certain amount of tip depending on what you choose. Also you have to pay first before you get your massage. I asked for a medium touch but it felt a bit too soft for me. I would have enjoyed it better if the face pillow was more softer. I did get a mini headache there since I was in pain from my face. There wasn't much cushion in the face pillow. I got a 90 min full body massage and didn't get a foot massage which I found a bit weird. She did give a face massage but she didn't hit under my eyebrows or under my cheekbones where other places I have gone has done so. I give this a 4 cause I was in pain and cause I got no foot massage. read more

Very skillful masseuse! Easy yo get appointments. Friendly, helpful staff, excellent price!

I went here a month ago and never got a chance to put a review absolutely a wonderful massage the young lady who was my therapist had one of the strongest hands I ever seen and she didn't ask where does it hurt or where do I want to be the size that she proceeded to massage me find am I sore spots in hitting it and she did not stop to she hit every knot in my back shoulders hips and legs and then after she was finished for the next 10 minutes she proceeded to rub my head and my neck and my shouldersLove this place it will definitely go back read more

Me and my roommate went to celebrate Valentine's Day. It was really easy to get a reservation and when we got in, the room was very beautiful and decorated.
