Okay so I took one star off because for $175 (Tip included) I expect my nails and toes to be very well done upon completion. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My nail tech was a gentleman Kevin. He was patient and talking me through the difference between gelX vs full set with dip.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We went GelX route and he took the inspo picture I brought from IG and replicated it pretty spot on. [[HIGHLIGHT]]He fixed the cuticles where I wanted more removed and was patient with my indecisiveness.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So he was someone I would be seen by again. Now pedicure was a different person, a lady. I won't say any names because o don't like to call anyone out, but the photos speak for themselves. Shape and cuticle clean up was great, but the polish is lacking and has clear spots where a second coat would have filled in and made the color pop. Instead I can see my nail through the polish on almost every nail. It's clean inside just like Bliss 2. So now you have the honest truth [[HIGHLIGHT]]even if you call ahead and make an appointment do not go to close to closing or it might end up not being the most thorough coverage.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] read more

My experience included my minor daughter and myself. This place was busy/popular so I can't blame them for a little wait. However, my service included exfoliating pedicure and the very next day there wasn't a noticeable difference. Secondly, I entered with extra cash to cover service, tip, and the expected little upselling. They kept getting my minor to agree to more and more until my cash on hand couldn't cover it. This practically doubled her package cost. [[HIGHLIGHT]]In hindsight they spoke quieter to her when seeing if she would agree to more add-ons, as if to avoid me hearing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I don't have a lot of experience but the results didn't last 24hrs for me but the expected cost went from $84 to $140 pretty fast. read more

They do SUCH a good job So professional and nice what I really enjoy is that I personally get such bad callus and their techs take the time to do the proper pedicure and remove it along with cuticle so everything looks even and clean! I hate going somewhere and paying for a service and they barely buff and call it a removal when they barely did a scrub! Polite and give an excellent massage. The lady who did my fingernails-not so much. It's Tuesday & the gel polish has already chipped. I can't go back because I am out of town most of the year. I'm disappointed. Better off getting press on nails from Walmart.. My first time in and the nails were pretty.. two days later they started cracking and breaking. I'm a stay at home mom who isn't rough with my hands. I go back to give them a second chance and day one, another one broke. Second day, a second nail broke. Day three, the thumb nail cracked. I go in and ask for a refund day 3 because the quality is NOT worth $70! I was told he can just fix it not refund it. I was also told because I had a fill done they are weaker and I should expect for them to break after day 3! I don't want any more work done by them to just have to worry about when it's going to break again. A total of 7 nails broken in less than a 2 1/2 week time frame. They have terrible quality work. Friendly and pretty nails but WILL ABSOLUTELY break in a two day time frame. First picture is 3 days after.. second picture is freshly done. Don't waste your money!! And any time there is a low rated review, the owner never takes accountability and likes to say things like "maybe it's the structure of your nails" then proceeds with "give us a chance and let us fix it".. for what??? For the gel x nails to break one day later? No thanks. It definitely wasn't the structure of the customers nails when 80% of your customers are saying the same thing about your gel x nails and its quality! Refunds should be circumstantial.. multiple broken nails 1-3 days after getting them done is CRAZY! In response to your statement: After being told by the manager that it's expected for nails to start breaking day 3 after the FIRST fill, you are absolutely correct. I did not want your services any further! All together after paying for my sister and I to get our nails done the first time and the last time I went in for a fill I paid your business $375 (not including tip) and ended up with 7 nails broken within 3 weeks?! No! Terrible customer service and even worse quality of nails! ABSOLUTE waste of money! read more

Very disappointing experience. I paid $41 for a pedicure and somehow finished before customers who had started well before me. The technician used an extremely heavy hand, didn't properly clean my cuticles, barely scrubbed my feet, and rushed through the service. The entire pedicure took only 29 minutes from start to finish. For starters this place was recommended to me by TWO different people who have no relation to each other! I've been coming here for the last few months, usually for special occasions! I do recommend weekdays (because duh, weekends are busy) but the staff is always so sweet, and friendly! They've always done a fantastic job with my dip manicure and (reg) pedicures! As someone who's been getting her nails done for 10+ years I feel that the price is very reasonable. They're also quite timely! I had a full set (bare nails!!) and a pedicure in an hour and a half! Lastly, I have to give a huge thanks to Natalie! I got engaged recently (I knew it was happening) and she not only did an amazing job but she was so freaking sweet!! Disappointed with the service and management. I came to Bliss Nails & Spa 2 a few days ago for a gel pedicure and left happy at first. However, just two days later, the polish on my big toe started to lift and separate -- which should not happen with gel polish, especially after paying over $60. When I went back to the salon to ask for a refund, they refused, only offering to "fix" the nail instead. As a paying customer, I shouldn't have to return to correct something that should've been done right the first time. Mistakes can happen, but how a business handles them says a lot -- and the lack of accountability here was disappointing. I won't be returning, and I hope they take this feedback seriously and improve their customer service. read more

I got gel and the deluxe pedi, it came out to $69, [[HIGHLIGHT]]took me in as a walk in immediately and some other lady, got one girl who stayed with me the entire time/didn't leave to help someone else or disappear[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], she was so detailed in cleaning up everything before the paint and then after is when they give you the massage and they put a timer on to make sure they do it the entire time LMAO but I think it was well worth the price considering how long that was and how clean/detailed it was. Our Story – The Bliss Nails & Spa Journey Bliss Nails & Spa started back in 2018 with one simple dream — to create a cozy, relaxing place where everyone can treat themselves and feel beautiful. Over the years, thanks to our amazing clients and talented team, we’ve grown into one of La Mesa’s favorite nail salons with two convenient locations! Yes, ClassPass credits are typically non-transferable--but this was an obvious situation where a little basic human judgment should have applied. My wife showed up, explained everything, and was turned away--despite the appointment being on their books. They refused the service and still kept the credits. No service rendered, no flexibility offered, no attempt to do the right thing. That tells me everything I need to know. This is a business that values squeezing $80 out of a customer over showing even minimal decency. Short-sighted, tone-deaf, and not the kind of people I'll ever do business with again. Enjoy the $80. Karma has a way of keeping score. Follow-Up: I received a response from the owner attempting to justify what happened, but it completely missed the facts. This wasn't a case of someone trying to misuse credentials in a typical sense--it was a one-on-one appointment that was already booked, paid for with credits, and ultimately went unused. My wife showed up, explained the situation clearly, and was still turned away. No service was provided, yet the credits were kept. Comparing this to standard "no sharing accounts" policies is a weak and inaccurate analogy. This situation called for basic judgment and a small amount of flexibility--neither of which was shown. The owner's response only reinforces my original impression: this business is more focused on rigid policies and protecting a minor dollar amount than on treating people reasonably, even under exceptional circumstances. That tells me everything I need to know

01/15/25 OVERCHARGE I recently visited BLISS nail 2 for a gel mani/pedi, and while the quality of the service was decent, I was really disappointed with how much I was charged. They ended up adding extra work to my toenail without asking me, which led to an unexpected additional charge. The total came to $130, which I feel is way too high for what was essentially a basic service. While they do a good job, the salon doesn't feel like it justifies that kind of price. The cleanliness and overall atmosphere didn't strike me as anything particularly special, and there are definitely other salons in the area that offer similar services at a much more reasonable price. Sadly, I won't be returning. If you're looking for a salon that charges fairly and respects your preferences, this isn't it. read more

I've tried almost every salon in San Diego, and I wouldn't go anywhere else but Bliss Nails 2. They are the best at their craft. The staff is so sweet and sincere, and it's very apparent they deeply care about the quality of both their products, and their work. Hard Gel / Builder Gel fills last me at least 4 weeks with no lifting, and are reasonably priced. They've been able to replicate any design I bring them as well. I couldn't ask for more!! read more

After checking in for my appointment for a gel-x fill, I went to go see my nail tech and I went to say hello but she didn't say hello back. Whatever. So then I showed her my reference photo and I want all white. Now I understand if I couldn't see the flowers if it's the same white nail color, which is why she suggested a different color that I didn't even ask. Not even like a white purple/blue color just so we can see the flowers better. Also, I know I should've spoken up more, which I had three times that I want to be a classic white French tip with daisies. But she insisted on using a shade of purple that I didn't even ask for. But not only that, but I feel like she couldn't speak English fluently because half of the time she was speaking to me in full Vietnamese, which I had a hard time communicating. I honestly felt a bit peer pressure to have a nail design that I didn't exactly ask for and that's what I'm very disappointed in. When my nails were done, she then prompted me to go wash my hands, but never told me where it's at or didn't even point where the sink was so I had to ask another employee to find the sink. Now I don't mind the nails design itself if it was done better, even though I have spent $65 on it and honestly during the whole appointment I kind of felt uncomfortable even though I did speak up, but just not enough then I should have, but it also doesn't look like the picture I wanted it. I'm pretty disappointed with my appointment and I will not be coming back unless I have another nail tech who I'm pretty sure will do my nails more nicely design wise. This is why communication is very important during any nail appointment and I thought I have communicated my needs, but I guess it wasn't enough to the point where I was peer pressured to do a nail design that I don't even want.

When I returned, I expected the salon to stand behind its work. Instead, as my service began, I was informed that I would be charged $30 to remove and replace the week-old polish, even though it had clearly failed prematurely. I also had to have my toes repolished because the original application had not been done correctly. After eight years as a loyal customer, I was surprised that no effort was made to resolve the issue as a courtesy. I wasn't looking for anything beyond having a service that lasted less than a week corrected without being charged again. Customer loyalty is built on trust and service, especially when something goes wrong. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling that my years of loyalty were not valued. When I asked for more the man manager said only one is allowed per guest. Seems like a small request to have a little more of a $10 bottle of wine when paying $80 for pedicure plus tip. I won't be back. But if you don't like cheap wine, all the nail techs are amazing. I'm just not going back on principle because there are so many great places around

My second time here and it was just as good as the first. Both times I got a gel french tip pedicure with the second to most basic service. The total was $55. I paid cash so I received a $3 discount (did not include tip). They do have an extensive menu so I would ask for it. Both times the employees were sweet and I mostly did my own thing, like read a book or scroll on my phone. It was myself and one other person both times so the vibes were relaxing and chill. I would go again for a pedicure. Not a manicure because I have someone else I go to.
