Saying goodbye to my beloved dog of 11 years was something I had never experienced before, and I was completely unprepared for the emotional weight of it all. From my very first phone call, I was met with genuine kindness, patience, and sincerity. Every question I had was answered with such care and understanding--it truly felt like they were walking alongside me during this difficult time. When the doctor came to our home, their presence was calm, respectful, and incredibly compassionate. They treated my dog with such dignity and love, and they gave me the space and support I needed to say goodbye in peace. It meant more to me than I can ever express. Even afterward, the level of care continued. Picking up my dog's remains was handled with such grace and respect--it was clear that every step of the process was done with heartfelt intention and compassion. In a moment filled with so much pain, this team was a blessing. I truly believe God places people in our lives when we need them most, and they were exactly that for me. Their sincerity, kindness, and unwavering support brought comfort to my heart in a time of deep sorrow. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone facing the incredibly difficult decision of saying goodbye to a beloved pet. They go above and beyond in every way, and I will forever be grateful for the love and care they showed to both me and my dog.

When our old vet retired, we had to find a new one. 1 of the Dr's from our old clinic had recently moved over to the HSB Vet Clinic. We thought we were making a smart move my switching everyone over there since we were already familiar with her. That turned out to be the BIGGEST mistake! When I discovered something abnormal on my corgi's scrotum area, I took him in. She did not do any testing whatsoever, looked at it, had another Dr look at it, came back & told me that they believe it to be a form of cancer. She continued to tell me that due to his age & medical history, she didn't feel as though he would be a candidate for a biopsy because he probably wouldn't be able to pass the anesthesia & they didn't think they would be able to stop the bleeding. In short, she was basically telling me he should be put to sleep. Something in my gut didn't feel right. I decided to get a 2nd opinion. Made the appt with Dr. DeFiley, took ALL of his records. She was more optimistic. In all of his prior blood tests, his platelets were all in a normal range. So there shouldn't be an issue with clotting. She did the surgery & sent what was removed for testing. Turns out it was NOT cancer! This was such a relief! To think that the other vet made no effort at all to help my Flapjack & suggested he be put to sleep infuriates me! Needless to say, we are extremely happy with Dr. DeFiley & will doing all of our business with her at Bluebonnet! She's truly cares about the wellbeing of your fur babies.

Our only option was to put her to sleep, but he said " I'm not at all saying today" We took her home and loved her more every minute of every day , but it became clear that we would have to make a decision , I still didn't or couldn't come to grips with it . I talked to the Vet who diagnosed her to see if he would come and take care of her at home , her home , but he was unable to help us. and I understood .My son called his Vet and she recommended Dr Birdwell. I called and spoke to her and immediately started sobbing and told her our situation , I could not fathom taking my Lizzie out and bringing her little body home in a blanket. She wanted to know about Lizzie , she took so much time on the phone .. she didn't know me and she didn't know Lizzie . The comfort level that I felt was immediate ! Through my tears I asked " how will we know " The thought of scheduling her last day paralyzed me . My other two cats died of old age not a sick day in their lives , one was 20 , the other 19 . Her answer " she will tell you " Two days passed and Dr Birdwell was so right . She said she would help us , I was so grateful considering the current situation . A week ago Saturday past , my doorbell rang and I thought I would throw up ! She came in and using all precautions of the covid situation , she sat and we talked and calmed me down to the point that I knew it was going to be allright . Dr Birdwell was so kind and so compassionate that we couldn't have asked for any more on that day .She talked us through everything. Our Lizzie was at her home and we held her and our eyes were the eyes that she looked into . I will not considered a new pet any time soon but the day will come and when it does , Dr Birdwell will be "it' for the newest member of our family ! Thank You Dr Birdwell !

I have been using Dr. Valle for over 10yrs. I will follow her wherever she goes. Pfenning isn't…read moreclose to me so I drive just to see her. I have taken animals severely ill to her and I have had animals that just needed vaccinations. She is best diagnostician vet I have ever experienced. Once in awhile out of availability I have had to use other vets for emergency situations and her care is always just a level above others. She is the very best. Example: I had a dog suffering from ehrlichia. The emergency vet said she scratched her eye. That wasn't the case she was losing her vision to the progression of the disease. Dr. Valle figured it out. Sadly it was too late to save her vision and when Dr. Valle removed her eyes she was so helpful in keeping her expressions despite losing her eyes. I believe Dr. Valle saved her life. Recently I had to euthanize one of my beloved pets and she made it as easy as it could be. He was suffering from kidney disease. The best thing to do was to let him go. If you haven't been through this process then you won't know a good vet from a bad one. I am older so I have been through this process let's say a few times. Pfenning staff put me in a room where I could say good-bye. They took him away to do the Cath so the process would be smooth and believe me you want it to be smooth. I had a vet one time who "missed" the vein and my poor animal went screaming into the next life. It happens but you don't want it to believe me. Not with Dr. Valle, she came in and ask if I was ready, I said yes, she administered the relaxation shot I'll call it where they go limp and then the one that stops their heart. It is never easy to let go but it helps when you have a caring vet clinic around you. I just want the least stress on the animal. I always want what is best for the suffering animal and I believe Dr. Valle does as well. I bet I have taken 10animals to her over the years. I have a lot of critters. Cats and dogs. I have never had a negative experience with her or her staff and most of them I have known awhile too. Note: I have a cat that is the devil when he goes to the vet. Dr. Valle handles him with the best of ease. Yes she has to grab him and manhandle him a little but that is what it takes sometimes. I sure didn't want to mess with him while he was in this state. But Dr. Valle is like I got him. No problem.
