There aren't enough words to express how grateful I am for everyone at Leander Vet Clinic,…read moreespecially Dr. Mitchell and Dr. Morehead. No one ever wants the phone call telling them that their dog is dying. My sweet boy, Diesel, was diagnosed with prostate cancer, and hearing that there was nothing more we could do was one of the hardest moments of my life. Even in that heartbreaking conversation, Dr. Mitchell met me with incredible compassion. When I asked if I could bring Diesel home for one last night together before saying goodbye the next morning, he understood how important that time was to me. I'll always be thankful for that grace. Losing a pet is devastating. You know they'll never live forever, but nothing truly prepares you for the day you have to let them go. Throughout the entire process, I never felt alone. Dr. Mitchell, Dr. Morehead, and the entire team treated Diesel with dignity, kindness, and genuine love. They answered every question, never rushed me, and helped me make the hardest decision I've ever had to make. What stands out most about this clinic is that they care. They celebrate the good days with you, and they walk through the hardest days with you too. You can tell they became veterinarians because they love animals and the people who love them. They are thorough, knowledgeable, honest, and incredibly compassionate. Diesel was my best friend. We navigated my twenties together, and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't miss him. Knowing he was cared for by people who loved him too brings me an incredible amount of peace. On a lighter note, I also love their rewards program. While I'm not ready for another dog anytime soon, it makes me smile knowing those points will be there if that day ever comes. If you're looking for a veterinary clinic that will care for your pet as if they were their own, whether it's for a routine visit or the hardest day you'll ever face, I cannot recommend Leander Vet Clinic enough. Thank you for loving Diesel so well and for giving me the confidence that I did everything I could for my boy. That gift is something I'll carry with me forever.

Our place we use for "doggy day care" recommended this place, as our other vet did not offer the "Influenza" shot our dog needed for the "doggy day care". It is a "two-shot" process, so we brought her in her in for her first initial shot and we could tell her demeanor was great! She did have her tail down, but not "between her legs" like the other place. They were so nice to her, and we were in and out quickly. The second time we went for her follow up shot, we had to wait a little longer, and we had a question for a the vet, so we waited a little longer. Again, our puppy was so comfortable in their waiting area! The ladies behind the desk just loved her, and even came out and tried to pet her (she was a little bit shy with them). But, once we met Dr. Chapa and her assistant in the exam room they were soo great. Again, our puppy was a little nervous, but both ladies were sooo nice to her. They got down on the ground with her, and petted her while we told the vet of our concerns. Dr. Chapa was very compassionate, and great with her. When she administered her shot, our puppy did great! We are now making them our permanent vet! I would recommend them to anyone in the area!!

My appointment was scheduled at 9:40, got there at 9:42 and was incorrectly told "your appointment was at 9:30, we can't see you today we're understaffed." I show the email from their own website that says "appt from 9:40 to 10:10." They didn't care and still told me there was no space for my dog to be seen. Even though my appointment was correct and there was still time on the slot. If they give you 30 minutes per appointment, even WITH their mistake there was still around 15 minutes left where they could've seen my dog. So, it makes no sense to say, "the doctor is busy now, she can't see you anymore." When she should've been seeing my dog during that time, so busy with what? My guess is they accepted someone before my appointment and lied to me, they didn't want to work and just lied about the schedule or are just careless which makes them untrustworthy. Don't waste your time here. Rude and unprofessional.

My son called on Monday but the vet was in surgery. He was assured Dr Pratt would call. She finally called at 8 but couldn't seem to get through. She didn't bother to try again. Another day with no results and lost for possible treatment. He called again Tuesday morning and was given the same run around. Dr Pratt was in surgery but would call as soon as she was free. I originally found Old Town Veterinary Hospital during one of the hardest moments imaginable, when…read morewe needed help saying goodbye to our 16-year-old dog. Even though we had never been clients before, they fit us in quickly so our dog would not continue to suffer. The kindness and compassion they showed us during that experience meant so much to our family, and because of that, I transferred our pets there as regular clients. I had wonderful experiences with Dr. Mundal and always felt our pets received thoughtful, attentive care from her. Unfortunately, after she left the practice, my experience changed significantly. One of the vet tech experiences left a very bad impression on me due to impatience and poor communication. I specifically requested not to work with that tech again. Beyond that, appointments often felt unprepared. Rather than reviewing my pet's chart beforehand, I was repeatedly asked for information that was already documented in the file, including medication lists and prior treatments. It became frustrating to feel like I was constantly re-explaining established medical history. I also repeatedly received reminders for vaccines and services that had already been completed months earlier. After this happened multiple times, it began to create concern about organization, oversight, and confidence in the accuracy of my pets' records. It was disappointing because our initial experience with Old Town was so positive and compassionate. Ultimately, due to the ongoing communication and organizational concerns, I decided to move my pets' care elsewhere.

I asked them if I could come back and they wanted to charge me more money. This time I too him to Old Town Vet Hospital. Emily [technician] was so extremely nice and helpful. She told me about home ear flushes I can do with Jerry. Emily was also very thorough explaining to the doctor what was wrong. While I was there I found a tick on my dogs ear. Dr. Harding was able to remove the tick and gave me instructions of odd signs to look for if my dog was affected. Dr. Harding told me about allergies my dog may have that might be contributing to his ear infections that I had no idea of. She gave me several different options for allergy treatment. She also gave me ear drops and prednisone to help with Jerry severe ear infection. Dr. Harding spent a lot of time going over treatments to prevent these chronic ear infections. She also gave me options that were more cost effective. Savanna came in at the end and gave me the medications and checked us out. None of these steps and treatment were given to me at Georgetown Veterinary Hospital and was charged a lot more with no resolution for Jerry. I absolutely felt heard and that my dog was taken well care of by Old Town Vet Hospital. I truly believe the staff wanted to get to the root of the issue so these ear infections do not keep happening. I would rate the staff and Dr. Harding 5 stars.
