I had 4 appointments with Smile Design & Wellness Center and I experienced unprofessionalism,…read moredisorganization and a controlling atmosphere amidst a very uncaring attitude. (1) I waited over 2 months to see Dr. Rob Brown, as a new patient, and after meeting with the office manager, I was told that I would instead be seeing Dr. Edwards. I told the office manager that I had waited 2 months to see Dr. Brown and found this "switch" to be very disreputable. Dr. Brown was 45 mins - 1 hr. late for my appointment because he had squeezed in someone ahead of me as an emergency. (2) I had a $168 teeth cleaning that felt like I was being waterboarded and my teeth were being sandblasted. The teeth cleaning seemed to abruptly stop as the next patient arrived. For $168, I wondered if they had done a complete cleaning of my teeth. (3) One of my front teeth suddenly experienced gum recession, loosened and fell out. I called for an appointment and was told that Dr. Brown was out on surgery, but Dr. Edwards could see me. I had expensive X-rays ($471) done and Dr. Edwards told me the condition was not that uncommon and that 4 of his teeth experienced a similar condition. I was OK with my "partial" being ready by Thursday (a week) and didn't ask for it to be done quicker. Specific information about how the partial would look was not discussed or provided to me. So after paying $1,437, I was looking forward to getting my partial next week. (4) I was contacted by text and told that they wanted to delay my appointment to get my partial an hour later. This dental practice (office manager) switched half my appointments up or back at the last minute with little advance notice. The dental assistant placed a thick retainer in my mouth that was unlike any partial that I had ever seen. Worse yet, the tooth in the partial didn't match the size or color of my other teeth. I told the dental assistant that this was not acceptable to me. Dr. Edwards agreed that the partial didn't look right and apologized for the error. I was told that the redone partial would likely come in the next Wednesday and Dr. Brown would be back by then. When I went to schedule my appointment to receive the redone partial, they told me I'd have to wait until Thursday for an appointment. I mentioned that Dr. Edwards said that the partial would likely be back on Wednesday. I was told that although Dr. Brown was back, he was all booked up and Dr. Edwards was in surgery that afternoon. Recalling how they squeezed in someone ahead of me on my initial appointment, I asked to speak to the office manager. She arrived and I pointed to her office so that we could talk privately about this situation. She was unwilling to meet with me privately and said that she could only give me a minute. I mentioned that I waited over an hour when Dr. Brown squeezed someone in before my appointment and asked if they would show me the same consideration and squeeze me into Dr. Brown's Wednesday schedule. The office manager and Dr. Edwards were offended that I asked for a Wednesday appointment! I reiterated that I wanted to get the partial ASAP. They wouldn't work with me to try and make up for the delay and poor workmanship of the first partial, so I reluctantly settled for the Thursday appointment. As I was driving away, the office manager, who only seconds ago could only spare me one minute, came running after me and told me that "I wasn't a good fit" (see other reviewer's "not a good fit" review) and they were going to refund me the cost of the wrongly made partial. That is accurate! I am not a good fit for disorganized and disreputable behavior, poorly made dental appliances, excessive fees and a very controlling dental practice. I am glad to be gone from this dental practice and just wish that I had heeded the bad omens about this practice that were there from the start!

Just had my first, second, and third appointments all in 2022, and Dr. Haley Freymiller is…read moreabsolutely AMAZING. Like a lot of people, I never enjoyed going to the dentist (who does, right?), but Dr. Haley somehow made the entire long process of getting fillings, relaxing, seemingly short, and easy. She is so gentle, detailed, kind, and genuine, that I drove over an hour to see her to have some fillings done that I had been putting off because of the pandemic. She is an expert who truly loves helping her patients with their dental health, and it shines through in all that she does. I recommend her for both adults and children, as she is incredibly kind and caring to the tenth power. She uses some of the best BPA-free materials, and has newer technologies like DIAGNOdent to detect cavities accurately, which a lot of other dentists don't have. She also takes ample time for her patients, answers all questions, and never rushes her appointments. Her office also offers patients everything from themed rooms (Star Wars, Space, Music, etc.) herbal tea, blankets, and massage chairs, to Pandora music and ceiling-mounted TVs with Netflix movies with headphones to pass time during dental treatments. Who would have thought going to the dentist for fillings would be on par with a spa day or a mini vacation. The staff is amazing and super kind as well; I could literally hear them smiling over the phone whenever I called to make an appointment. If heaven had a dentist office, Dr. Haley Freymiller would definitely be on the team; that's how awesome she is. Thank you to Dr. Haley and to everyone at the Smile Design & Wellness Center!

I was worried about coming here for my root canal because of another review. I'm happy to report to…read moreanyone concerned, Edward Kosakoskis contract with VMD was terminated. I saw Dr John Hong and he was efficient and kind. He did excellent work! The care they took with me was amazing. I expressed my nervousness around dental work and everyone was very kind. They didn't attempt to get me to pay for anything extra and the office ladies were very clear with every form I signed and every expense that could be charged. They are very transparent with what's going on both sides of the desk.

I got an email asking me to review this company so I will. NEVER GO HERE !!! I just moved to town…read moreand called to verify they were a provider with my insurance, so I was a new patient. They say new patient is $59. I have two dental insurances. They billed my visa for my copay which I authorized of $10. They insisted because I need periodontal work I had to have some laser cleaning not the regular cleaning. They opened a credit card in my name that I told them I did not want. It affected my credit score. They then credited back the charge but did not cancel the account. I know because I got a card in the mail. Now obviously I will keep the card because if I close it, my credit score will be affected. They have a sign at the front desk when you walk in to contribute to a water charity $30 and receive $100 credit on my account. They then charged my Visa an additional $916. They did NOT submit my claim to my primary carrier, only to my secondary insurance which is my medicare. I am a senior citizen and I think they like taking advantage of seniors. These people are a racket and are upselling you the whole time. NEVER GO HERE !!! I am reporting them to the insurance commissioner and county senior abuse hotline. They deserve 0 stars but that is not an option.
