Because my hair is very dark, to get it really light it would've taken another session on another day but Daniel did his best to lighten it as much as possible and gave it a beautiful rose gold color to my hair. And turned out so pretty!! Daniel will give you his honest opinion and explain to you why it will work or why it will not work. And he will give hundred and ten percent to make you look glamorous. Daniel's demeaner was completely short and unwelcoming the entire time. I arrived for my consultation at 6pm to the building doors being locked, and Daniel acted as if it was my fault/I was severely inconveniencing him for coming down to open them for me. I would've happily came earlier if I knew/was notified of that. When I entered the salon, it was just messy and looked gross to be in. The decor is weird and there was a door that said "Tattoo" right in the sitting area? Daniel rushed around without bothering to acknowledge my presense. His assistant/other guy in the salon was so nice and outgoing, but otherwise it was a total cold shoulder and I felt burdensome to him to be there. I will give Daniel credit that he is knowledgable in his craft and he gave feedback based on what I was discussing with him. However, the lack of "salon side manner" will not have me coming again, and I cancelled my appointment.

She's awesome. She's also one of TWO professionals to EVER cut my hair to my specified length. Just a blunt cut across and no one else manages it. So I was very pleased and she will be who I use for all my subsequent haircuts. The color test (for green) was beautiful, but not as dark as I wanted. Second visit I had Rebecca do what was kind of a balayage going from natural black (slightly darker than my dark brown) to green. I wanna say she NAILED that natural black. My coworkers and my own mother couldn't tell that part of my hair was dyed. It's perfect. It's SO EASY to do a ridiculous and unnatural black but my MOTHER didn't know it was dyed. I asked to remove the little warmth in my dark brown and she did. So yeah. Nailed it. The green was where we had problems. I should've just stuck to the test color and not agreed to have her add things to darken it. Because what I got was not the vibrant green from the test, but a pale teal. I... hated it. Legit this color was the PRECISE COLOR that I wanted to avoid. It's the color I showed my friends that I didn't want. And I told her how much I hated everything about that color, because what was I supposed to do? Lie and say I loved it? The color was so awful to me I was actually embarrassed by it. And the black dye left a large and obvious mark along my hairline where it sat on my skin. But that came off after I bought some Neutrogena makeup removing wipes. Maybe get some wipes at the salon? They couldn't remove the stain on my skin so I had to make a CVS run on the way home. HOWEVER, the actual balayage job was done really well. The salon was very receptive to later adjusting the color. Rebecca is really nice and I felt bad that I just hated it SO MUCH that I couldn't say anything positive in the moment, with all my excitement extinguished. She's a professional. She wanted me to love my hair. She was willing to make it right. But I literally can't go back to the salon right now because of work scheduling. For three months I can't be there during their operating hours. So I went and got my teenage angst hair color product, Manic Panic, and dyed green over the teal. My hair. Is amazing. Not the color I wanted (still too bright) but amazing. It would NOT be amazing without Rebecca setting the foundation and doing such a good job with the specific balayage fade I asked for. Honestly my hair only looks like I wanted it to because of her work. There's no way in hell I could've bleached my hair correctly or even gotten the black dye on right. The color is great because of her. Not me. Even if she nailed the green I wanted at some point it would fade and need refreshing. All I did was refresh it to a much closer approximation to the color I wanted, 48 hours after my appointment. I stick by my comments about how much I hated my hair color when she was done. But I'd go back to her in the future AND I'd recommend her to others. She's good at her job. This one color got away from her. No one's infallible. Just maybe, if you're doing a wacky color, keep to whatever color you got on the test strip and don't adjust on the fly. I'm 100% sure if we stuck to the test color I'd have left happy. And my coworkers who thought I got scammed when I showed up with teal hair? Now that my hair is vibrant green even they're admitting that Rebecca is skilled. Like. Yeah. Duh. Credit where credit is due. If you want a really well done color? I say book an appointment with her. Maybe bring some face wipes just in case.

The first time I went to the salon, I felt like I was in an "emergency" hair situation. My hair was streaked with fire engine red highlights from another salon on top of a fresh keratin treatment. Keyanna advised me that I must wait to get the color fixed because I just received a keratin treatment. But, she saved me temporarily! She told me to buy a certain hair root spray to cover up the red until she could fix it without damaging my hair. During the next appointment, she made my hair look beautiful, just like I imagined. I asked for black hair with dark purple face framing highlights, with a few peekaboo streaks added at the back of my hair. The colors turned out lovely. For my third visit, I decided to just keep it simple with black hair. However, the purple highlights still peaked through later on and still looked lovely. I highly recommend scheduling with Keyanna!!! She's magical with hair! Also, she gave me some free hair shampoo and conditioner samples (: (: (:
