It was an extra $150 for a fan that clearly did not need replaced. It was on the top and held on with a thumb screw. We asked for the old parts and they were hesitant in doing so. When they did, we had our neighbor HVAC guy down the street inspect it and shocking, it was just fine. he even put it back on for us. We called the Rite Way back and they never called us back. We had other issues too. Most of the homes in this area had heating and cooling systems put in by them. They made it sound like we couldn't use anyone else when they came out. It surprises me since this family owned business has enjoyed such a great reputation for decades.

Edit: As you can tell by the business administrators absolutely unhinged response, the customer…read moreservice for Sanchez Appliance Repair is lacking any semblance of professionalism. Wild how for months there were only 2 reviews on this business, but after the business administrator was insanely rude and I let people on yelp know to be weary, suddenly there's 2 more 5 star reviews in just 8 hours (both of which are recently opened accounts)? Extremely dishonest business practices. Makes me wonder if any of the reviews are real. My mother doesn't have cancer, but thank you for proving you did not listen and have quadrupled down on poor customerservice because you were caught in a lie. You said one thing. Then you had 3 shifting excuses as to why you no longer had to honor what you said. But don't insult people and insinuate they'relooking for free services when that's not what's being said (see original text below). If you go with this business beware. I'm sure repairs are fine, but I don't know because I never got past the business administrator who is an expert at gaslighting in order to skirt responsibility. Original post: Told me it would be $50 for a service visit. They came, they were not able to fix it as they said they needed to order a part. I said no worries, and asked if the $50 would go towards repairs. They said yes. I followed up a month later and asked about repairs. They gave me a quote. I asked if the $50 would go towards the quote like they said it would. They said first--no, that I took too long to get back to them. I let them know we were never given a timeframe where we would lose the $50. They said "we never thought you'd take so long to get back" multiple times. Then they said no. The $50 is a service fee stated on yelp. Which is not what they said when they visited us. Then they said no and insinuated we were asking for them to do work for free and that other repairmen charge more. I said I wasn't asking for anything for free, and that other repairmen wrap their fee into the cost of the repair and that I was inquiring if they did the same. They just kept repeating all three talking points until they hung up on me. And then they tried to zelle me $50. Am not looking for free work. Am looking for an honest answer. If you don't roll the $50 into the cost of repairs then don't tell people you do. And if you have a time limit to hearing back from someone then tell people that. Don't be dishonest. Edit: The absolute lack of accountability is present in the business' response. They didn't respond to anything that I said and continued to repeat the same talking points. If you have a time limit on when people get back to you for repairs before their $50 is forfeit then you need to communicate that. Don't tell people one thing then decide because it's been too long for you that you won't honor what you said. Especially if that "too long" was never communicated to begin with. They also need to be honest as I have, on multiple occasions, let them know I am expecting nothing for free, so to continually insinuate I'm looking to get free work out of them when I have told them that I am just looking for a straight answer is bizarre and belies a lack of professionalism. It's also wild work to insinuate I am "taking it out on you" because I told you that people need communication in order to know if they're under a deadline. It feels like you're expecting people to read your mind.

My sister recommended Terry's Service; really, if she can't find something wrong, there's nothing wrong to find. I called kinda late in the day, and got a call back from Colin the next morning. We set up an appointment for the following Monday afternoon. Colin arrived, got a listen to the dryer, removed some of the housing and... there were great gobs of compacted lint in the lint trap. (I clean the lint trap, but this was beyond what I could reach.) He cleaned it out, told me (when asked) how I could keep this clean myself, replaced a screw that held the trap in place (that screw was removed at installation some years back and for some reason never replaced). And he did a nice job of cleaning up the stuff he pulled out of the dryer. Problem solved. My dryer is humming along again, and I'm happy. His charges were reasonable, too, so I'm really happy.

I've had them out twice now for two different appliances. They're absolutely phenomenal…read more The dryer: Not only did they fix my presenting problem, but they threw a new lightbulb into my dryer. I didn't even ask. They just noticed it was out, and replaced it because it needed replacing. They also vacuumed out and cleaned up the inside of my dryer as part of their service (another thing a previous company did not do.) They genuinely care that your appliances are operating the best they can, and they really go the extra mile. The stove: I had another company tell me that I needed to replace pretty much every part on my stove (a whole list of 5 of these and 6 of these), and they estimated me over $500. Jim-Co didn't even need to replace the part. Their technician used some standard tools to adjust the existing valve (no replacement necessary) and identified the other part that was broken. The part was no longer available, so he explained a workaround I could use if I wanted to continue to use my antique stove. Only charged me for the service call. I absolutely love Jim-Co, because they genuinely know what they're doing. I feel like a lot of modern repair companies just replace parts indiscriminately, but at Jim-Co, they understand how a part works, and they can sometimes fix a component, which ultimately saves you money. I still can't believe someone estimated me hundreds of dollars to replace all of the valves on my stove, and Jim-Co was able to manually adjust them for the mere price of a service call. I wish I could give 100 stars. Seriously. They know how to diagnose a problem. There's no guesswork. And that ultimately saves YOU money because you're not paying to replace components unless they absolutely need replacing. I've met three technicians, and all three have been respectful. Unfortunately, that seems to be rare in the appliance repair industry as well.

The technician determined I had bad coils, which is what google told me, changed them and put everything back together. There was no way I would have been able to correctly re-assemble the dryer so the cost was well worth the wait time and the service itself. 2 weeks later the dryer is doing the same thing, I call, a couple of days later he comes out again and finds that one of my thermostats is broken, he repairs it free of charge and only charges me for the part. Jim-Co is literally a mom and pop operation. You call a landline phone and chances are you get an answering machine. The message tells you when they expect to have a break in service (it could be a week or so), you leave a message and they get back to you to schedule it. For the price, quality of work, and knowing I am supporting a local business - it is well worth the extra time I have to wait.
