Seriously the best ice cream I have ever had anywhere. They serve Hershey's ice cream but they mix them into amazing sundaes with creative names such as the millionaire sundae, or the Most of the sundaes are &5.99 which may seem high but they are HUGE and WORTH IT. But if you don't want such a large amount you can pay per scoop and per topping which is quite a bit cheaper. Their sundaes have varied and interesting ingredients such as thin mints, peanut butter cups, fruit and even devil dogs. Their flavors are the standard Hershey's flavors. One of the best is brown butter bourbon truffle. Holy COW is that flavor good. You don't even need anything else added to it. There are many other unique and delectable flavors such as peanut butter pretzel, chocolate moose tracks, midnight caramel river, or even playdough! The owner is often present and will ring you up himself. Ive found him to be a laid back and very nice person. We are regulars and he always makes sure we get our cards punched to get our discounts. The atmosphere is quaint - an old one roomschoolhouse - and the seating is all outdoors which is very nice in the spring summer and fall. There's picnic benches and lights strung up. There's not a ton of parking but there's a field across the street if you're strapped. They're open in the winter so you can take home a pint or two for the kiddies. And for the missus. It was ok. I only eat ice cream once in awhile and I don't eat a lot. My husband loves it and wanted to try this place for a long time. Tons of choices but I felt I really didn't get what we paid for. I got a large sundae and they were pretty stingy with the toppings. I was able to finish the whole thing. This place is uh-mazinggg. From the second you walk in you are blown away by the amount of unique ice cream flavors they offer. There's so many varieties of ice cream combinations at this place it's insane. The staff were helpful and didn't hesitate to offer samples of their flavors. I think they expect to be patient with their customers because they understand it's a lot to choose from! The ice cream flavors are super creamy and rich! Prices aren't too bad. What a surprise we had when we pulled in to Sundae School Ice Cream and it's located inside an old school / church! How quaint. Our server had a great smile and disposition as she greeted us and took our orders. Of course Hersheys Ice Cream is always delicious! Many flavors to choose from. Prices were very reasonable. We came in with a postcard that promoted their new Happy Hour on one side, (between Noon and 5pm) and the other side had another offer on it with NO TIME RESTRICTIONS. We attempted to redeem the offer with no time restrictions and were denied the use of the offer. We spoke to the manager, and he said the printer added that onto the postcard and it had the time restrictions that the front one did. His lying to cover the misprint was clear, and we do not like dishonesty. We heard through the grapevine that they'll be closing at the end of this season. It's no wonder why... Shady shysters. Ugh. All this over a free kids cone with an adult purchase. They would've made out better accepting their own offer. Now they've lost my business. This wonderful converted schoolhouse has quickly become a family favorite. They have many, many Hershey's Ice Cream favors - I've never counted, but I'd guess that there are about 50 different flavors including some Sugar Free options. The Sundae School also has several soft serve flavors, many topping options, milkshakes, creative sundaes, and sell specialty items (ice cream sandwiches, cakes, etc) to go. If you have a dog who loves ice cream, be sure to ask for a vanilla cup for your pooch - its complimentary and includes a few dog biscuits as well. read more

I got peanut butter twist, and it almost had more peanut butter than ice cream! This is a tough place to review. Their ice cream is excellent. My issues are with the owner and his ego. To start off, the prices are HIGH. That in itself is ok, especially if the quality and experience is good. However, its not the case. First off, the bathroom has been "Out of Order" for years. Don't bother asking - they don't care. I don't know how that passes a health inspection. Now on to their frequent customer program. They offer a card, receive a stamp or punch with each purchase. Or at least that is what the card says. Depending on the night, some cashiers may say it is per visit, no matter what you buy or how many people are in your party. Now if I paid for 12 ice creams, I would expect that would fill the card. Its that simple. Maybe next time I will bring a bucket of pennies for each family member and have each one check out individually. Really? This is stupid in Sundae School's behalf. Hence no more stars for you. They could also bother to cut the grass occasionally. Most of the time you have to park in the field across the street. Be careful on the hill and the slippery grass... this certainly a lawsuit in the waiting. A little improvement is needed here for sure. read more

This place is a GEM and so far, hands down, the best place I've found for ice cream in Bucks AND Montgomery County. A) - they have CMP's. If you're from coal country, you know what that is. If not, then get yourself to the Sundae School and try it! The ice cream is thick and rich and comes in the standard flavors as well as a slew of creative flavors - red velvet cake (ohmygosh-had it-sooooo good!), birthday cake, cotton candy, almond joy, Playdough (looks like mulit colored Playdough!) Kids will love all the fun, different flavors to choose from. Then of course, there are the standards - with many different variations - like butter pecan; there are at least 3 different versions of butter pecan. They also have soft serve ice cream that blows away Dairy Queen soft serve! Ice cream cakes, ice cream sandwiches, frozen bananas, OH! And they even have fudge people! It might be a bit of a drive for some people but let me tell you why it's worth it: All the standard flavors PLUS really creative flavors - so much to choose from! Great sundae combinations. Super nice staff. Family owned. Great parking. Picnic area outside to eat. There is also a feeling of nostalgia and comfort as soon as you walk in the door. Ok, so I'm on a frozen treat tour and saw this place when I was driving by one day. Mental note to stop back. Finally got the chance the other day. On the positives, they have a huge selection of flavors to choose from. More than any I've seen lately. Lots of Sundae combinations and plenty of shakes to choose from. On the negative, their prices were really high especially for the portions you received. I thought I was in the city or shore rather than out in the country with those prices. Especially when you consider that I can buy a half gallon of Hershey's Ice Cream at the super market for about what they charge for a medium. I know they need to make a profit but come on. Building was cool, a converted one room school house. Not too sure how long that steeple will stay up there, looks a little unstable to me. Best ice cream I have ever had in my life! I actually haven't been here in over a year because I moved out of state, and I find myself missing Sundae School often. The place itself is adorable. The building is a real schoolhouse turned into an ice cream shop, so it has so much charm. It gets very busy after dinner and surprisingly, right before they close. Love that it is open late. They have a large variety of very unique flavors, including some very colorful ones kids will love. If you live within a half hour of this place and you've never gone, you have to try it.
