This is another spot on our beloved BOGO Coffee compass (which you can also buy in store here!). We got our usual lattes (I did one of the seasonal specials which was great). They also have breakfast burritos and sandwiches from a local spot - La Cochinita. We have the chorizo burrito which was incredible! The staff were all super friendly and there was a decent amount of seating inside as well as out. There is a spacious parking lot in the back as well which is always great.

SunBean had popped up on my social media several times, and as a coffee loving girl, I had to check them out! We were received warmly by the owner and baristas alike and walked through their decent selection of seasonal drinks, breakfast sandwiches, and pastries. Their coffee drinks weren't very sweet, which I loved, but may fall a bit short for someone who prefers sweeter drinks (as it did for my partner). We tried the Dirty Nana (8/10), a Pistachio Vanilla latte (8/10) and Blackberry Mango pop tart, which was more like a pie (8/10). It's not a very big space, but they had a good amount of seating. They also had a little free library inside the shop along with some free propagations for folks to take, which I thought was a cute touch!

Cute neighborhood coffee shop! It's perfect if you need a quick grab and go cup of joe. Friendly service. Side street parking was pretty easy. We ordered an iced chai latte and iced vanilla latte. Overall pretty tasty but a little too much milk.

We love supporting small businesses and keeping it local so I was really excited to try SunBean Coffee! The staff were so kind and personable and the place is so cute! There was plenty of free off street parking and a handful of seating options inside and out. Our drinks were delicious and they even have coffee flights available. They have baked goods delivered fresh from local bakers. I highly recommend the pop tarts from Fruit & Grain and the breakfast burrito from La Cochinita! They also give 3% of their profits back to the community. They are doing great things while serving great products! Highly recommend!

Sunbean is a bright spot in a nice neighborhood. I can see coming here on the darkest gloomy chilly days to this brightly lit, warm inviting shop. This shop invites us in just by the ambiance inside and out. The brewed medium roast is Columbian with hints of citrus according to the barista. The shop is compact and they make wise use of the space but have limited seating, we'll call it cozy. There is a menu and some grab to munch pastries, banana bread Thursdays I've been told. Plenty of signs reminded us they are open on Sundays.

SunBean Coffee has a lot to offer when it comes to variety. I've been on a bit of a matcha kick lately, so when I saw they had a Matcha Passionfruit drink, I had to try it. Refreshing and unique! I also couldn't pass up their special--a Churro Cold Brew--which was just as delicious as it sounds. While I was at the counter, I noticed they had a Pop-Tart style pastry from a local baker, so I gave that a whirl too. It was super tasty and a nice touch to see them supporting other small businesses. Overall, everything I tried was really flavorful and enjoyable. That said, it's definitely on the pricier side. The staff was very friendly and easy to chat with, which added to the positive experience. Next time, I'll probably limit myself to just one or two items, but I'll definitely be back when I'm in the mood to treat myself.

Got the salted bourbon caramel cold brew and the Dubai chocolate cold brew. Both tasted good, will go back to try the nana latte! Was a little more pricy than expected over $20 for 2 coffee drinks.

I love SunBean! It's a smaller coffee shop but the vibes are so inviting! As soon as you walk in you are welcomed and everyone seems so nice and happy to be there. The menu isn't super big but they have monthly specials as well as a ton of syrup options so you can essentially customize your drink however you want. They also have pastries. I ordered one of the March Monthly specials - Tiramisu Brew and it was really good. My mom got a medium roast coffee and she said that was good as well. It's in a pretty quiet neighborhood. We can always find a spot on the street out front which is convenient.

This place is awesome!! I was a little thrown off by the reviews saying that the prices were too high. They must be from the suburbs, because for twin cities coffee shop prices - at least in my experience - these prices are, if anything, on the lower end of the spectrum. $3 drip coffee? Oh, ya baby. Got a yummy pastry with an oat milk latte and sat on the back patio. The whole place was cute and I love that they have a featured artist. Barista was cool. Had fun. Recommend.

This is another favorite coffee shop of mine in South Minneapolis! They have their signature drinks they offer but also have a couple monthly drinks the add in to the mix. They have some great food as well. Have had the eggs bites and they were delicious! The baristas are always so welcoming here! The atmosphere is great in here too, I've worked here a couple of times remotely.

I think SunBean Coffee might just be my new favorite, local coffee shop! Their drinks are fantastic and staff are warm and welcoming. Last time I was here, I tried their drink of the month: Iced Cereal Milk Latte. It was delicious and nostalgic, too, with the lucky charms marshmallows on top. My wife got the drink that put them on the map--salted caramel bourbon cold brew. She loved it. On top of the great drinks and service, the homemade poptarts (sourced from another business, I believe) were top notch.

I kind of love this place a lot. It's an utterly charming little urban coffee shop with great drinks and food. Full disclosure: my first visit happened because of a free drink offered to Yelp Elites, but I keep coming back because the idea of stopping in for a coffee and a snack keeps winning me over. I've gotten their mochas and I've been getting their monthly drink specials which are delicious every time. They also have these unique pastries which I think they call "Gourmet Pop Tarts" that are awesome. What I've specifically been doing is stopping here at lunchtime for a coffee, grabbing one of those pastries to eat later, and having it on my desk where my officemates invariably admire it and are jealous of me for having it. You should come here if you want that experience. Beyond that, this is a totally pleasant place to linger, with its cute decor, a bit of patio seating, and service that is as neighborly and upbeat as anyone could want. A couple more notes about their offerings... I like hot coffee drinks and it seems like they are excited about what they do with cold ones, but I'm not an expert in that, but I bet the cold coffee drinks they make are awesome. Also I had a delicious breakfast burrito last time, very plump and filling.

What a cozy place! They even have " sad light " that will help you with seasonal affective disorder. Helping you be happier! I had Fred's fave. Oatmilk latte with cinnamon. I love it. I don't even care for oat milk more of a soymilk gal. It has very balance flavors. Perfect amount of slight sweetness. This is now also my fave. (Thanks Sunbean) The staffs are friendly and very welcoming and they told me some fun facts: Breakfast sandwiches made by next door bar - Bull's Horn! (Another great place to visit) Fresh never frozenI had the mangorita poptart while I was there. It has FRESH mango inside. Soooo good. Crispy pie not too sweet which is good. The pop tarts and savory hand pies are made by Emily at Fruit and Grain! She is also at some farmer's markets but doesn't have a brick and mortar store.

Northern Coffee works is always a winner whenever I go! The staff are fast and very knowledgeable…read moreand passionate about coffee. I have tried both their coffee and their matcha and they are both spectacular. They always have fun seasonal flavors to try and they use homemade syrups which I really appreciate. This location in minneapolis also has a TON of seating but it's definitely a well loved place so it is often very full. That being said, people are always willing to share a table when it's crazy full. The wifi is great. Street parking is available within the neighborhoods. It is definitely somewhat loud with music, talking, and the sounds of coffee being made, so if you need a silent work space this probably isn't the place for you.

Came in for a drink and a breakfast burrito... but all I got was the drink because the burritos…read morewere sold out. But the drink was delicious! It was the Smoked Sea Salt Mocha and it managed that whirlwind of conflicting flavors nicely. It was quite full at late-morning on a Saturday, and parking was a chore. But the baristas worked through the line very quickly and there are more than enough seating options to handle larger crowds. It doesn't even seem too loud. People were hunkered down doing work stuff. One old-timer was typing on a typewriter! This is also a gift shop! Many (most?) coffee shops have a shelf or two of merch, but you can come in here just to shop for artisan offerings like pottery and candles and cribbage boards, plus books and a bunch of other stuff.
