Believe me I didn't miss…read morethe insane amount of people, the smog or traffic, the trains, or the sheer amount of stuff to do any given moment. Rather it was the pizza. Cincinatti pizza is horrendous. I survived Michigan and Pennsylvania, but northern Kentucky and Cincinnati pizza is awful. But I came across Slice is Right when I asked google for NYC pizza. It gave me 2 other options that were not impressive. I saw on yelp it was a pizza truck? Okay okay I dig. To my dismay there is no longer a truck, apparently hadn't been for years. Instead is a small take out only restaurant. You can't see the kitchen, it's just a couple of office chairs and a "register." The owner? Is super friendly. You pick a size and toppings and it's made to order. No more single slices, only by the pie. Fine by me! Say less! 15-20 minutes later I receive the quintessential NYC plain pizza. But I know you're asking well how does it taste? Well friends to me it tastes like home. Please slice is right, never close your doors

We ordered the chicken parm and all the meats pizza. The chicken was excellent and was sitting on a bed of quality pasta. The sauce was good and worked well with the dish in general. The wife loved it and it was the first time in 15 years she's ever showed a glimmer of considering a to go box for leftovers. The pizza was great as well, as someone who makes their own dough, cheese and sauce it's hard to find a pizza that I would say is better than good. This pizza was excellent and outside of my own one of the best I've had from any place outside of my home. Is it truly Neapolitan with that much stuff in it? Ehhhhh probably not but I'm not a purist. Good pizza is good pizza and this qualifies as such. Friendly staff, a neat style and ambiance and good food. That makes the place a complete package worthy of your visit.
