I really like the laid back vibe here. The bar area is nice. The Mellow Mushroom decor is so cute and cheery and colorful. We had a great server. We got the pizza rolz- the greek ones and the pepperoni ones with dipping sauces- pesto and spicy vodka sauce. It was delicious. The sauces were great to dip pizza crust in also! The Gluten free pizza was TRASH!! They didn't even COOK the veggies on an all veggie pizza!! I was scared to eat the mushrooms because you can get sick from undercooked or not cooked at all mushrooms. Unique environment here really leaning into the drug culture. Not my scene, but it had a Disney playfullness about it. (Think 1980s Disney, not ruined 2025 Disney). Great pizza, nice tall booths, great wait staff (Tiara was very helpful and fun and put up with our nonsense - a real skill after going the same for others all night). I enjoyed the non-alcoholic drink options. After trying the meatball appetizer, 2 of us shared a medium pizza, and didn't finish it. I'll try this place again next time I'm in the area. read more

After stopping at Patient Aids next door with my grandparents we were looking for something for lunch. My grandpa was feeling a bit light headed and needed to sit down and have a bit of juice to help with blood sugar levels, and probably just needed lunch for the day as it was 1pm already. Mellow Mushroom was literally next door and had great reviews on Yelp as well as a variety of menu options for them to choose from. As we walked in we were greeted and shown to a booth right away. Our server was super friendly and brought us waters and my grandpa ordered a cranberry juice. We poured over the menu and pick two lunch special was perfect for our group. It's $9.99 and includes two items of your choice plus a fountain drink. The options were great as well and include a one topping slic, garlic cheese bread, half hoagie (with chips) , Lil House Salad, Lil Caesar Salad or Half order Pretzel. We opted for two of these lunch combos each with a Half Italian Hoagie, one Greek Salad and one with the Lil House Salad. My grandparents don't eat too much, so the salad was more than enough for my grandma and she was so pleased. My grandpa was able to enjoy as much of the Italian Hoagie and Greek salad as he liked and I had the other Italian Hoagie. We still ended up going home with leftovers. The portions were very generous for a lunch special and the Hoagie was loaded with meat, cheese and veggies. My grandparents kept talking about how nice the restaurant was all the way home. Our server was wonderful and attentive as well as patient as we asked questions and figured out what would work best for everyone. We would 100% come back again. read more

I'm in the area on a work assignment. Mellow Mushroom is extremely close to the project so I tried it this past Monday. I ended up going there 5 days in a row. Monday-Friday. I've only tried 3 things but they are so good I haven't wanted to try anything else yet. Id advise only getting the "lil" Greek salad instead of a full unless you aren't ordering anything else. The lil salad is big and the Full size salad is enormous. The bruschetta is great too. They don't skimp on the goat cheese. The tomatoes are seedless as they should be, balsamic reduction is great. The Holy Shiitake pizza is just great. Haven't found a reason yet to ding this place because so far it's been great and most importantly, it's been CONSISTENT every time I've ordered. We sat in the bar with our service provided by an amazing female server. I can't even begin to share how excellent her performance was for our small group of three. Even the guys commented on how good she was. Love this place with vegan options such as the vegetable hoagie which is delicious. I got a half sandwich and wish I had ordered the whole. The staff were very friendly but the manager and bartender were taking on the entire restaurant. We ordered a vegan cheese pizza which my daughter devoured. The spinach salad was tasty and love the added vegan feta option. My biggest complaint... at all locations.. is their HORRIBLE gluten free pizza crust. It's hard, dry, like a thick tortilla. Sad as the ingredients are tasty, but that crust is sooooo bad! Please change it! Check out Two Cities Pizza's gluten free crust! Or maybe partner with Banza (theirs is thick and chewy!). Our family is vegan and I'm celiac. The waitstaff was AMAZING with working with us. I truly wish other restaurants were like this, they should all take note. That being said, my pizza was the best pizza I've had in a VERY long time, even before being diagnosed celiac. My kiddos and husband absolutely loved their pizzas too.
