This was my first visit to this restaurant since it had become Mac's Pizza Pub (the building used to be Buffalo Wild Wings years ago.) They have a pretty big menu of dishes including but not limited to wings, pizzas, salads, and burgers. I started with an order of Boneless Wings with Devil's Breath sauce on it. The sauce was pretty tasty and had a kick to it although it wasn't spicy enough to warrant the name Devil's Breath. The chicken itself was overcooked and seemed like it was a frozen Tyson chicken product. We tried a pizza for our main course and we got the one with all the meats on it. It had pepperoni, sausage, ham, and bacon. It was much better than the wings were as they put plenty of meats on there and the sauce was good. The crust was on the thinner side but not too thin. All in all it was a pretty tasty puzza. The service was average so I don't have much to say about that either way. The restaurant retained it's bar and decor including the big tv's and was very similar looking to the B Dubs. All in all it was a decent lunch especially the pizza but there wasn't anything spectacular enough for me to wanna come running back for another visit. Very average and a bit forgettable. read more

Was rudely informed that they don't allow using different chairs (even though it has been allowed for the past year we have attending), but "it was ok this time" because they weren't busy. The wings were amazing. Perfectly cooked and crispy. If you want wings that taste great, aren't burnt, and are still well cooked (unlike Bdubs or shooters and some other places where you can still see the feather dimples on the underside of the chicken skin....) go here! Took a while to take our drink order and never came back. table next to us arrived 10 minutes after us and got their drink, we still did not. After 20 minutes of just waiting we got up and left. The food, especially the Mac burger, never disappoints! We also love their tots and wings! It's always enough to share one order between the 2 of us! It's regular 'pub food' but we enjoy going for dinner and watching a game. Most of the staff is friendly and attentive and prices are reasonable for the amount of food you receive. We've taken friends and they're all enjoyed it there as well. Lots of TVs around to watch one of your favorite teams. Our visit to Mac's rocked. My school group was having an early "end of semester" get-together and our waitress, Monique, did a phenomenal job. She was the only one waitressing the entire restaurant and was so patient and kind to us while still being so busy. All of our orders were correct and arrived pretty quick considering we had a semi-large group. The food was just okay, I don't recommend the chicken and waffle fries. We have recently started going to trivia night at Mac's because they have a lot of space and an open wall which, during the last warm fall days, was really enjoyable at night. I would recommend their fried pickles for sure. The pretzels are tasty but, beware, they are also fried and not for the health conscious. I didn't even know Mac's had a location in Cold Springs! Though, I shouldn't be too surprised with the nearby NKU College population (they already had the lockdown on the UC community). When a couple friends and I did an escape room at Sherlock's Escape Room next door, we decided we needed to have a drink after to decompress and celebrate our victory. None of us were terribly hungry, but we had some loaded potato skins and sipped on a whiteclaw. This location is a lot larger and more open-feeling than the others I have been to. They have the same laid-back feel as the others and the staff were quick to put a drink in our hands and take our order. The potato skins were standard bar fare, nothing to write home about, but they were satisfying. If you've never been to Mac's before, I'd recommend their gyro pizza, it's delicious! All in all, I would definitely come back here if I was in the area (which I probably will be to do more of the escape rooms at Sherlock's Escape Room's next door!). Mac's is a great place to watch a game, have a beer (or five), and have some decent bar food. read more

We gave this place a try last night because we were looking to just change up our regular trivia night. Meh. I'd read a couple Yelp reviews of their fried pickles so tried them...seriously they were almost flavorless. How do you make a dill pickle flavorless? Tried the tots, they were so overdressed with cheese and various sauces that they were soggy. Wine: they have it, but apparently there's so little demand that they only serve it by the bottle. Which was fine, it was extremely cheap ($15 for a bottle of house sauvignon blanc) and I'm fine with taking wine home. The beer list was good, but they were out of multiple beers. So just sort of all around less-than-stellar. The food situation was meh enough that we aren't dying to go back, and I'd probably have given this place a third star just because: covid, and wanting to support restaurants. But seriously the biggest issue of the night was the trivia caller. Just bad. At one point we requested a re-read of a question, and it didn't get re-read, didn't get re-read, didn't get re-read...finally one of the group walks up to ask for the re-read, thinking maybe the app hadn't notified her. She gives an audible sigh into the microphone and in a clearly-annoyed voice announces that two groups have requested a re-read, so here it is. This woman was definitely not interested in working that night. I hate to complain about service right now, but this was actually to the point of becoming amusing. Firstly, I must say that the employee who assisted me was very helpful and provided excellent customer service. It's always great to encounter friendly and accommodating staff members. However, it seems that Mac's Pizza Pub could benefit from more staff members. During my visit, I noticed that only two employees were handling all of the tasks, which resulted in long wait times before being attended to. This is not ideal, and it may be worth the company's investment to hire more staff members to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction. Now, onto the pizza. I enjoyed what I ordered at Mac's. We liked the pizza but it was maybe a little pricey. In conclusion, while Mac's Pizza Pub may need to invest in additional labor to ensure timely service, the quality of the pizza and good customer service provided by their employees makes it a decent visit. read more

Worst thing: we were there for Last Call Trivia. There were two tables with 12 person teams (rules say 8). And the prizes? $5, $10, and $15. Our group does trivia every week, every other bar does $10, $20, and $30. We will not be back. Bottom line, if food and drink are all you are there for, you will be pleased. Excellent beer list. But, it's a fun atmosphere. We actually did a carry out order this last time. I ordered the Chicago gyro pizza, minus the olives. It's topped with spinach, kalamata olives, tomatoes, red onions, gyro meat, mozzarella, feta, and tzatziki sauce, with a garlic butter base. The tzatziki was pretty good but, the pizza was actually super greasy due to the garlic butter. The overall taste was good though. My husband ordered the Mac's supreme. It was topped with sausage, pepperoni, ham, red onions, mushrooms, kalamata olives, mozzarella, and provolone. He liked it but, I wasn't overly excited. He also ordered hot wings. Our group ordered a variety of foods and everyone enjoyed their meals. Black bean burger was said to be delicious and filling. The CBR pizza and wings were said to be good. My coworker and I split the Tree Hugger pizza (vegan) and a basket of tots. The pizza toppings were a bit burnt, but overall it was a quality pie. The tots were great! Probably the best potato skins I've had for a while. The pizza was very flavorful and tater tots were crispy. They fixed our steak hoagie half pizza sauce, half mushroom sauce which was perfect. Server was very nice - restaurant was very clean. We will be back!! read more

I have visited here a number of times and the service has always been extremely strong and the food was timely and tasty each time. I see one negative review I suspect was from one of a group of individuals who had to have the cops remove them for rude and obnoxious behavior and another 1-star review that says they do not have wine which is 100% false. In fact, they have two taps for wine which indicates to me that they did not bother asking. Anyway, the people there have always been very friendly in my experience and the pizza is solid as are the sandwiches which are huge. read more

I love Mac's Pizza Pub. I recently had a fantasy football draft here with my league mates and each and every one of us enjoyed our experience here. I had never had their pizza before and I was blown away by the taste. It just had the perfect amount of ingredients with a crust that wasn't too thick or too thin. My fiance had a burger and even she said it was one of the better burgers she has had at a restaurant. And I cannot say enough about the service. It's hard enough to serve a normal table but serving a huge group of people who are more focused on fantasy football is even harder. We were constantly checked on to make sure our experience was going smoothly. I look forward to going back for future fantasy drafts and dinners with my friends and family. read more

Now under it's fourth incarnation of a sports bar at this location, it looks & feels like the first 3. Same seating areas, bar & food ordering areas, same vending games but there are 2 differences : less TV's and a small area for a band. Food wise IN-pizzas , OUT- nachos, everything else is what you expect at a sports bar. Prices are also what you expect and the wait staff was nice & informative with suggestions & such.
