Really 4.5 stars. There was some difficultly with communication that required some persistence on my part. But that only rates a 1/2 star reduction because he did eventually schedule me in. The long version follows: We have had problems with the front door for some time. And it seemed to be getting worse over the years. We had someone out several years ago, and they only put additional stripping on the jamb. This year the door sweep appeared to be wearing out (again), and the new one didn't want to mount (it was too thick). Checking reviews I called Precision Fit (Jason). After a few fumbled communications, Jason put me in his calendar. From then on the communication was good. He showed up to evaluate my door. I had sent him photos, and he thought he might have to remove the entire door frame and redo it. But he wanted to see it for himself, and was going to be in the area. To my surprise, when he showed up he said something along the lines of "I can do this now". Next thing I know he's moved the hinges, and shimmed a bit, and replaced the weather stripping, and even lowered the threshold so the sweep doesn't drag so much. Plus he drove longer screws into the frame to hold the hinges better. When he was done the door opened and closed better, and there were no light leaks around the door. Previously what clued me in to the problem was light leaks both at the top-left and lower-right of the door. Those are now gone. And he didn't have to rip the frame out. He still could have done that, and I wouldn't have known that it wasn't necessary. But he spent about 1-2 hours, fixed the problem, and saved me money compared to the more expensive procedure of remounting a door frame. So I recommend this service. They are honest and only do the work that is needed, and they appear to do it right. Post-script: It turns out that I called Precision Fit six years ago, but it wasn't Jason then. I remember a middle-aged man who didn't really impress me. He's the one who added thicker weather stripping and said not much else could be done. Jason proved him wrong.

Make sure you thoroughly inspect and evaluate your windows well before the 2-year mark! Once two years pass, it becomes extremely difficult to file a formal complaint or claim warranty support, which leaves you completely on the hook for their mistakes. Writing this review so that we can help someone. Just like many other reviews, we were initially very happy with the window installation at first. However, here we are 4 years later dealing with active leaks that have caused interior drywall and patio damage. We had an independent inspector evaluate the windows, and they confirmed the original caulking job was rushed, improperly sealed, and poorly executed. There was some areas where the caulking wasn't even applied. Please take time to see the pictures. When we reached out regarding the water damage, the unprofessionalism of their team was unbelievable. Instead of taking accountability or offering a real solution, Kris was dismissive, sarcastic and condescending--telling us to "Take a walk, grab a beer. Cool off bro". They also said it was basically our fault for not maintaining the windows by painting the caulking, which we were never informed to do. They tried to smooth things over by offering a complimentary recaulking, but that simply isn't right--a free patch job doesn't fix the drywall damage or make up for a job that should have been done correctly in the first place. We sent them the invoice hoping they would cover any amount of the patio damage resulting from the leaking window, and we still have not heard back. You pay a premium for new windows so you don't have to deal with leaks, home damage, and poor workmanship. To pay that amount of money only to be met with cheap quality and blatant unprofessionalism is completely unacceptable. Please inspect every exterior seal thoroughly as soon as possible.

Matt was quick to call me, come over, measure, and was able to install windows much faster than quoted. I had referred Matt to multiple friends due to his professionalism, and work ethic. Having just had all of my windows and doors replaced in 2019 I do not think that I will be needing his services in the near future, but when I do hear of a friend or colleague asking about windows or doors, I will happily forward Matt's info to him. Since then, I've received texts about unexpected delays, both professional and personal, with assurances that the windows will indeed be installed once all these events subside. After four months of unfilled promises, three days ago I finally texted him to ask if the job was going to get done at all. I just need an answer one way or the other so I can plan on how to proceed and if I need to contact another company. This time there were no excuses/explanations...he simply ghosted me. After all this time, I get neither an installation nor even the courtesy of a phone call to explain why. To string a customer along for four months to ultimately just ignore him, that's no way to do business. The only reason I left two stars instead of one is the few times I actually spoke to Matt, he was polite. So, I give him a star for that. But he sure didn't fulfill his promise, and there's no reason to treat customers this way.
