Being the only shop in the Phoenix area that actually answered the phone.. i decided to drop by for my battery drain. My car would be dead if i didnt drive it everyday, literally .. it was also so bad that when driving it was effecting my turn signals either making them very slow or very sporadic ... Mike gave me a call within a few hours and assured me the issue was resolved. To my surprise, as i was on my way home after picking it up, i noticed the turn signals worked as they should .. normal constant blinking.. i also noticed my SRS WARNING on the screen was now gone as well, which is a blessing cause it would flash across the screen every 2 seconds preventing any data reading .. Lastly, i also noticed my car this morning WAS NOT DEAD FINALLY and instead of having to press my key fob like 5 times for it to unlock, now it always instant. They really did find my drain, fix it, amd wish me a great time with this vehicle. Any future work i get will be from this location. Found them via Angie's List. As with any auto repair place, there​ is an inherited​​t level of distrust due to the history of the industry. Yesterday, they made me a customer for life... Check engine light went on the other day. Took it in and the diagnosis and recommendation was to replace the fuel injectors​, $1100. Sun Valley then did​ a little more research within their network and found out that Audi had issued a manufacturer​ extended warranty to cover​ this repair at Zero Cost if Audi did the work. No integrity. It has been one year since Sun Valley Imports brazenly cheated me. Obviously, I'm still holding a grudge. They treated me like a fool, reneged on an agreement, the owner told me a bald faced lie while I was sitting in a car next to him, and were not forthcoming regarding the need for repairs. I took the insults and paid the bill because what else was I supposed to do? My only recourse is to write a review. I'm 74 years old and over the years have had a lot of money taken from me by auto mechanics. Some things will never change, and this eperience will doubtless not be the last. I took my Mercedes Benz for an oil change, yet without my permission Sun Valley Import added a service that wasn't approved by me. They replaces a front light that costs 3$ for the part and charged me 47$ for the labor. This is very unethical and disrespectful, due to issue I will never take my vehicle to Sun Valley Import again. read more

I find these negative reviews absolutely hilarious. "I drive a Mercedes but the $50 service charge", "I drive an Audi but I was quoted $500" absolute blasphemy I took in my BMW for an initial estimate, after the work was initiated they found more issues, common, they called and gave me an updated quote. These guys are quality without a doubt. Mike is a great guy as well as Derek who took car of my E30. The 2 combined will ensure you a great service if it's concerning an '87 E30 or any other import. I've been taking my Mercedes to Sun Valley Imports for the last five years. They have have a level of expertise and experience that is much higher than other independent shops that I've used. I'd say that for most things they are equal to the dealership. Their shop is clean and well organized, and they promptly answer the phone. I've never had a problem with any maintenance or repairs. Their prices, while not the lowest, are fair. Also, they will order an Uber if you don't want to wait in their very comfortable waiting area (which is equipped with Internet access). read more

I took my Audi here to get the radiator replaced. I was quoted $350 for the repair, which I agreed and believed was fair. When I arrived to pick up my car, I was shocked to find out the bill was actually $500. The worst part is they tried to charge an extra $150 in the labor and parts to replace a headlight bulb, which is something I could have done on my own. When I pointed this out and refused to pay for the outrageous charge, they were quick to "discount" the labor. Although I was able to avoid paying a ridiculous amount for something so silly, there's nothing worse than a mechanic trying to take advantage of a woman. I told them I would never take my car back to them after this stunt. To add insult to injury, it took me years to get off their text message alert service, which was another thing I never permitted. read more

The owner here is ruthless. Knowing I'd been ripped off by an immediately previous unecessary repair, he turns to his Service Advisor and says, "See, I told you we could be charging MORE for our parts." Owner had asked to see previous invoice which I'd made the mistake of showing him. He would not do that to a man. Gender discrimination, extremely offensive and rude. Owner took me for a dummy He is against women so if you're a woman don't go here. I tried to discuss the Traction system with pwner and he said, "So, you're going to tell me about cars?". I responded by telling him "Yes, I've lresearched the feedback system between traction and the engine put in every US car by law per the NTHSB since 2014 (ours is a 2015) and you might learn something new, I'm an attorney and my father was a doctor. I know how to do research." He efused to troubleshoot the reason I brought car in (traction malfunction), instead requiring nearly $6200.00 for a new engine on a VW Passat with $85,000 miles BEFORE they troubleshoot the dash lights and severe traction failure symptoms (car shut down) that brought car in. Last, AT NO TIME during the 6 days they languished with the car for decision on serious traction malfunction were we EVER told about a diagnostic fee, including today, the morning I told Mike front desk we were not buying a used engine with 58,000 miles on it from them, for them to install for $6200. They said ok and seemed friendly and fine. No mention of any money due. Told them AAA was coming in 30 minutes. Said fine. Again, no mention of fee or money due. Then refused to release car to AAA driver for first time when he appeared ready to take car, demanding a $150 fee for first time. THIS PLACE IS A "NO". DO NOT GO HERE OWNER IS WAY TOO MONEY HUNGRY AND DOES NOT CARE AT ALL ABOUT QUALITY HE PRODUCES OR HIS CUSTOMERS. Great service and very reasonable labor charges. Had my annual maintenance service for my MB Sprinter completed here. As part of the service, they noticed the Water Pump was failing. Water Pump was later replaced under warranty at a MB Dealership. I will definitely use Sun Valley again in the future. read more

I usually do most of the work on my 2007 A4 B7. I have done a lot of upgrades to the car and then gave the car to my daughter, needless to say I'm very picky about the car. Fast forward, my daughter goes off to college @ ASU and now I have to find a shop to maintain the car. I got a referral from a relative to go to another place, but after my own research I decided to give Sun Valley a call. I'm extremely happy that I did, not only did they take care of my car, they also assured me that they would follow up with my daughter to make sure she keeps all regular maintenance up. So that was over the summer, now let's fast forward to now, my daughter is coming home for the holiday break, but she calls me to tells me that there is a oil leak. I call Sun Valley and they let me bring the car in on short notice, I tell them that "my daughter will be in California for an extended time" - "No problem" they said. "Awesome". My point is that they have exceeded my expectations and made a father feel comfortable about having someone else look after his car. Good job to Mike and his team. Service and work has been great, not only did they diagnose the problem quickly they also gave me an update on the car overall health and what I should be thinking about next. I was fortunate enough to locate Sun Valley Imports on YELP as I didn't know where to take my car for service after moving the car from CA to AZ. What a great shop, honest, reliable, timely, and they fix it right the first time. My only complaint is the they are not closer to Goodyear, AZ, but it gets me to the other side of the Valley every now and then ;-) read more

I payed $200 plus an additional $65 to tow for them to return my car to me with a $3700 estimate. Found out I could get the same job done for just over $2000. My car was returned with the bumper plastic guard broke. they charged me $100 to tow and $100 diagnostic. That is ridiculous, I want to warn people of their inflated prices. The diagnostic I could understand, but the broken car and extra $30 for the tow is ridiculous. I do plan on repairing my vehicle, but it won't be here. read more

loved this place. took my 2011 a4 to the audi dealership in Scottsdale and got a quote for $840 to replace a fuel pump. mike gave me a quote of around $450 over the phone but it ended up being $560 since they needed to put fuel in my car. they did a great job the only reason I docked a star is because when I got my car back I only had a quarter of a tank of gas left but was charged the full $40 for a tank. also, the whole shop, from the office to the garage was meticulous. it was so clean and tidy! read more
