Even after the admissions process, Ashley continued to check on our mother, providing us updates and was happy to help her with FaceTime when we were able to come in to see her face-to-face. Ashley was very sweet and honest about what to expect with our mother journey to recovery. Always happy to answer any questions and always addressing our concerns right away. All the staff at Windsor was very professional and very helpful. We will visit my grandmother everyday and they were always very friendly. Mona was very efficient and very diligent with my grandmothers discharge. She made sure that my grandmother left with everything she needed. The discharge was very smooth and as her caretaker I left very confident and prepare.

This seemed ridiculous because the dialysis center is less than 5 mins away from the rehab. After being admitted to the hospital again after trying a different facility at the next town over (who was willing to transport mom to her dialysis center) we decided to try again at Windsor. She was denied again with absolutely zero explanation. Christina Denbow, community liaison, sent a text saying " It's a denial. Per my administrator and director of nursing." She refused to give an explanation of denial or even bother to respond to any texts after this. I realize there is an extra fee for outsourcing a transportation agent, but considering her insurance pays for this it doesn't seem legal to deny her for this. If nothing else the unprofessionalism is unacceptable.

They got back at 12:30. They came in and just stared at us. That was very rude. My mom was the one to say hello. They should have said hello and asked how we can be helped right away when they saw us. Afterwards the receptionist helped us. The group of girls went to eat. There were signs that the patients should be silent to respect others. The workers were speaking loud. I was trying to do work while waiting for the appointment but I couldn't. I was getting irritated. I put on my headphones and they were still loud! Worst experience at a waiting room due to the workers.

First, we did not choose to go to Natividad Hospital or the Rehab Center. My wife fell at home and…read morethe fire department had to take her to the nearest hospital which was Natividad. Given a choice, we would have chosen Memorial. We have Medicare and an excellent Supplement so we can go to Memorial, while Natividad's primarily serves patents with MediCal or no insurance that Memorial probably would not take. Her hospital stay was satisfactory. There are some minor complaints such as the food is horrible and you have to call someone to clean a toilet if you need it cleaned. The treatment she received at the Sam Karas Rehab Center was good. The PT's and OTs were very good. Our complaint is that my wife was being discharged before she was physically ready to go home in both or opinions. Some of the PT's told us privately that they didn't feel she was ready to go home either. We appealed that decision to Medicare which entitled her to a couple of extra days in the Rehab Center while her appeal was being processed. Medicare denied our appeal, but the reports they submitted to Medicare stated that she was able to do things that she could not do. The Director threatened us that if we didn't leave, we could be responsible for the entire bill of her stay should she stay. So, I took her home. It was obvious that they are not accustomed to dealing with people that either know their rights or know how to find out what they are. We could understand their motive for sending her home early before she was physically ready to go home. It wasn't money because she still had at least 9 days that would be covered fully by Medicare. We believe it has to do with their discharge rate based on comments made by the Director to the press. We are now in the process of going to the next level which is taking legal action against the hospital and according to our attorney fully expect to be successful in our action.
